James picked up a sheet of paper that contained songs people were requesting. While he didn't know about half of them, he pulled them up. First was KnockOut. After setting up the playlist, James jumped down from his booth and snuck up behind Quinne. "Hey there darlin'." He smiled and sat besides her, the bartender set down a glass of whiskey and James took a sip from the amber liquid. "I'm glad you made it. Wanna go to the roof again?" After working in this noisy room, he liked quiet places like the roof.

Quinne jumped slightly as he snuck up on her and then gave a soft laugh. She nodded and stood at his words, smoothing her skirt down over her thighs as she looked over to him, taking a sip of her drink as she waited for him to lead the way. "Why would I miss another opportunity?"

James smiled and took her hand, leading her through the crowd towards the door once more. He kicked it open and released her hand once they were in the hallway. He stretched and walked up the stairs then out to the roof. The stars were shining up above, the moon big but not quite full. He pulled a cigarette out and lit it before taking a deep drag. "Want one?" He offered her a cig and then sat on the edge, staring out at the night-life. "I love it here."

Quinne shook her head and pulled out her own pack again, lighting one up. She let the smoke curl out of her nose, drifting into the night sky as she looked over at James "It is beautiful isn't it?" her voice was soft as she turned her gaze to the city spread out below them, watching as the lights flashed below them, cars passing... A small smile crossed her lips as she watched the people curling around the building waiting to get into the club. Another drag off the cigarette and she inhaled deeply, looking back to James

James walked over and looked down at all the people. "Incredibly." He turned to her and grinned, a small amount of smoke came out from the corner of his lip and he chuckled. "So, Quinne. How are you on this fine evening?" He took another drag then put out his cigarette before picking up his cup of brandy and taking a small drink.

Quinne smiled and put out her own cigarette once done, frowning sligthtly before she answered. "I've had more interesting days, but I'm not too terribly bad... It's just been rather boring... At least, until I got here it was." she chuckled and shrugged one shoulder, smiling faintly "Music makes alot of things better though...."

James nodded and smiled, "I sleep most of the day. I'm here all night." He shrugged and looked at her, "what do you do? Like, do you go to school? work? Stuff like that." He shrugged, he was just making small talk after all. James found it odd that this girl interested him but didn't question it. He was an odd guy after all, wouldn't it only be natural for odd people to interest him?

"Both actually." with a soft smile, she explained "I'm actually in school for graphic design, and I'm also working part time..." She looked up at him and smiled, the look softening her eyes as she met his eyes as she chuckled "Right now though, I'm out of school, so just working part time down at one of the art galleries downtown...."

James listened to her. "That's cool. Graphic Design? That's like vinyl's for cars or like stuff on computers right?" He wasn't exactly sure, plus it was a good way to make conversation. James sat down and looked down below. "I was in school as a psych major but I kinda got over it. Got my AA and then bailed." He shrugged.

"Cars actually... I'm learning how to run all the equipment it takes to design their paint and stuff...." she shrugged one shoulder as she laughed softly "There's alot of stuff to it, but it doesn't really matter... That's all for another time I guess you could say..." her eyes looked up, filled with humor as she met his eyes "So I suppose we'll keep meeting here, hmm?" Not that she would mind meeting well, elsewhere... After all, her mind still flashed on occasion to the night before.... Would he have kissed her if that manager hadn't interrupted them...?

James nodded, "that's pretty cool." He had noticed that she looked a little distracted. "If that's ok with you, or I could take you out sometime." He smiled and remembered the night before, when he had wanted to kiss her. "Well, thanks to manager I didn't get to do something I wanted to do so..."
He moved towards her and tilts her head up, gently pressing his lips against hers in a soft kiss.

Quinne chuckled at his words and was about to answer when he mentioned something about the manager.... She frowned, confused despite having just thought about him almost kissing her the night before.... She gave a soft gasp of surprise against his lips before she returned the kiss, letting herself melt into it slightly. When they separated, her eyes were slightly glazed over as they looked up to meet his. "Well... That was rather unexpected...." she chuckled softly and took a deep breath "And we can keep meeting on our lovely rooftop, or we could meet outside of the club.... I'll leave it up to you..."

James heard her soft gasp and for a second thought she'd slap him or something. Then he felt her returning his kiss and internally smiled. When they seperated, he smiled at her. "Yeah... you should get used to unexpected things. I kinda go by impulse." He shrugged helplessly and sat down, looking out at the city. "I'll surprise you. Text me on nights your coming and i'll either be outside or in my booth. Outside means i'll meet you there, booth means roof during my break." He shrugged, it was a simple enough schedule.

Quinne smiled and nodded, her eyes gleaming with humor as she looked up at James.... She liked the plan, it was simple, and meant that neither would stand the other up really.... She finished off the cigarette she'd lit and looked back at the door that led off the roof. "Well... I guess you should probably go back down... The set'll you started will probably be over soon...." she stood, looking at where he sat, smiling faintly, a sad tint to the edge of it... She wanted more time than these little visits they'd had.... None the less more of that kiss she'd gotten earlier... Pulling her thoughts back, she put one hand out for his. "Shall we?"
