This is my first guild post, so pardon me if I sound green. ANYWHO! I have a book i've been wanting to write, but i've been dragging my feet on it. I guess i've been to worried about if people would like it. It's my story, so of course I think it's the best book since the Bible, but I would like to know what you think. If you think it's alright, throw some nice words at me, it'll make me feel better, and if you don't like it, well then screw you, i'm still going to write it.

So here's the short version, cause i'm to lazy to go into all of it right now.

The story takes place in modern time, on our world, and follows the lives of five characters, but focuses on one in particular. (I'll give you three guesses on who he's based off of.) So, these people get elemental powers from the Old Gods. It turns out that Earth, as we know it, is FAR more important then we humans realize. This world is where the Old Gods live, and is the staging ground for a war that has been going on since the creation of all the worlds. The war with the Altered.

The Altered are basically the root of all evil. I don't need to go into their long story about where they came from and what they want. Just know that they're the bad guys.

The Old Gods have been playing a strong defense for over a millennium. They created the Rift Gates to let their fighters travail between the words faster, but the Altered have learned how to use them, so they've been shut down and sealed to prevent the Altered from getting to Earth and hitting the Old Gods. The Altered then learned how to open the Rifts and are pushing to the Home worlds. With that, the Old Gods give their powers to five humans so they may activate the elemental beacons and shoot another Big Bang to reseal the gates and send all the Altered back to their world. The problem is that every time the Old Gods use another Big Bang, it makes them weaker, and the Altered are just getting stronger.

The new five (guardians, avatars, vassals, i'm not sure what I want to call them) decide NOT to seal the Rifts, but to use them to fight back the altered, against he wishes of the Old Gods, the other fighters in the war, and basically everyone else.

And that's the short version of the first book. So now I want to know what you think. Are you interested in hearing more, or did you lose interest and stop reading half way?
