Amaya is a very happy and upbeat girl. She always has a smile on her face and doesn't take much for her deem something cute. Despite her cheerfullness, Amaya can be quite stubborn in her ideals and will not back down if something goes against what she believes in. She is also very caring, she can't turn down a person in need and will always do her best to help anything and everyone; even her enemies. This Is My Life...
Amaya was born into a wealthy and influential family in the Fire Nation. Her father had a relatively high political position while her mother was a wealthy heiress; hence Amaya grew up surrounded by luxury.
When the Avatar was born, both her parents her against the Avatar as they both believed that the Fire Nation was superior to the other nations and they tried to pass this contempt to their only daugther. Unfortunatey for them, their daughter proved to stubborn and spirited and refused to accept the fact that the other nations were 'below her' and that she needed to 'treat them like the dirt they were', after all her Earth Kingdom nanny didn't seem like a bag woman.
Amaya grew up, firm in her beliefs and often rebelled against her parents and their actions. However, one day they got rid of Amaya's nanny as a punishment to her and Amaya realized the extent of her parent's power. She began playing the obident daughter, repeating what her parents said and saying what they wanted to hear when in reality, she spent her time planning her escape.
One day, her mother needed to head to the border of the Fire Nation to attend a party and brought Amaya along. When the party began, Amaya quickly and quietly snuck out and hid in a boat heading to the Earth Kingdom. She got off at Kyoshi Island and has been living there for the last year. My Songs...

Christian is the type of person who couldn't even hurt a tiger even if his life depended on it. He's too much of a pacifist to hurt anyone, and he hates seeing other people get hurt. It's rare to see him get angry and it's even rarer to see him hit anyone even when he's angry. He's very gentle and kind, since he was raised up by priests, but if the ones close to him get hurt, he will stop at nothing to protect them. This Is My Life...
Christian was born as the youngest son to the Fire Lord Tosen. Even as a baby, ignorant of the fact that he was the Avatar, he was always targeted; mostly by his father. His brother despised him for being the Avatar, and his father feared his power. His mother had been killed as soon as he had been born, but he didn't know that. Ever since the day of his birth, his father kept trying to find valid reasons to kill him, yet he failed.
The Fire Priests found out about the fact that Christian was targeted by his own father, and quickly snuck him out of the Fire Nation. They traveled by night, on a ship headed for Kiyoshi, and were never seen in the Fire Nation again.
Christian was raised up by the Fire Priest who snuck him out, without the knowledge of his own heritage; the fact that he was the youngest prince of the Fire Nation, the fact that he was the Avatar, nor the fact that he would have to bring peace to the four elemental nations one way or another, meaning that he would most likely have to defeat his own father and brother to do so. He grew up ignorant of the hostility of the Fire Nation, and that his own father wanted him dead. He was told that his parents were from the Kiyoshi Water Tribe and had died of a disease.
Sixteen years later, Christian was still on Kiyoshi; still ignorant of who he actually was; until the Fire Priest finally told him the truth about his past. He doesn't really want to believe it, but something inside him tells him that the Priest wasn't lying. But will he really become strong enough to defeat his own family...? Christian isn't sure if he really wants to, but he knows deep inside that it's the only way peace will ever be restored... My Songs...

Hanzo is a fire bending prodigy, but despite the nature of his bending style, he is actually a very careful person. Compared to Christian, he's a model student. Hanzo is incredibly intelligent, especially for a thirteen year old. Hanzo is also a very loyal person, and will go against his better judgement to help his friends. This Is My Life...
Hanzo was born into the way's of Fire Bending, and started practicing at a very early age. By the age of seven, he'd already mastered the use of Lightening. He was raised to be a careful person, and is secretly very superstitious. Only the Avatar knows that he's superstitious. Hanzo's best friend is the Avatar. Hanzo was chosen to teach the Avatar how to use Fire Bending due to how close the two are, and because of his incredible skill as a Fire Bender. Jerri is the type of person who is hard to make friends with visibly. You could be nice to him for years, and he wouldn't show much appreciations back other then hanging out with you and doing things for you. But that was all he had to give; his utter loyalty, which he values more then his own sanity. Though he would show no emotions, something he just chooses not to express, when he has a friend, he would break all the laws in order to keep that friendship. Jerri would be the type of person who would willingly stain his hand in the blood of innocents, if it meant he could stay with whom ever is close to him. But if for some reason he would lose that friend, expect a immense and horrific surge of anger from him. This Is My Life...
Jerri was born the first son of a castle guard of Omashu, his father, and a farmer earth-bender, his mother. Though his father was one of the elite of the guard, he was only so because he was one of the very few non-benders who could fight on par of Earth-Benders. And even that, Jerri was still a middle-class citizen at best; the reasoning being is that Jerri's father was removed from the original Yang family, and was there for considered dishonored and lost all connections to the family. Where it not for his masterful ability with martial arts, Jerri would be a poor child.
When Jerri was eight years old, his mother discovered his ability to bend the earth; it was first found when Jerri stopped an incoming Mail Box from hitting him, even sending it back to where it originally came from. His mother, though she was never the best of her Earth Bending, taught Jerri everything she could. Even so, he wasn't the best at Earth-Bending compare to others, who had actual teachers. To compensate for average Earth-Bending skills, his father also taught Jerri martial arts and educated him in basic math and reading. By the time Jerri was 15, he was a proficient Earth Bender who was more skilled with a staff, knife, and could do semi-advance mathematics and read well enough to recite whole books.
Jerri was taught by his father to never show more emotions then none; he did this because, despite Jerri's great talents, he would be the target of ridicule because his father was kicked-out of the family. He would be attacked physically and emotionally, but he wanted Jerri not to fight, but to hold his ground and show them that their opinions would not affect him. His mother taught Jerri of loyalty; she told to him that it was the only thing that kept her with his father, despite the hardships they have endured. Absolute loyalty is something only given once and should never be given freely, but to have just one person who can claim to be absolutely devoted to someone is more valuable then any gold. With those lessons taught by his parents, Louis because a stoic and obedient boy by his peers; he would never show anger or hate, but he would never back down or surrender.
Bad fortune struck Jerri's family though when he was 18; when he was off to enlist in the guards like his father, robbers came to his house, taking valuables and mortally wounding his mother. The robbers took all the money they had, so Jerri and his father had to work over-time and take out loans in order to keep Jerri's mother alive. Despite their efforts, when winter came around, she died. For once in 10 years, Jerri threw a fit of absolute destruction; it simply began with him leaving his home late one night, and when confronted by trouble-making youth, he attacked them, nearly killing them without even using his earth-bending. When the guards came, he used his earth-bending to destroy an entire platoon of the guards in a matter of minutes. His father soon came, trying to calm him down. Only by nearly killing him did Jerri stop his rampage. He was later imprisoned and sentenced to twenty years of prison time.
Five years into his imprisonment, he was summoned to the palace by order of the King of Omashu. Under heavy guard, Jerri faced the King of Omashu. He learned that his father managed to pull some strings by sacrificed his time, pride, and even tile of elite guard for his son to have one last chance for redemption; Jerri was to find the new Avatar, the son of the Firelord Tosen. He was to journey, alone, to bring the Avatar into the Earth Kingdom, and try to become allies of the Earth Kingdom. If he were to do that, he would no longer be sentenced his twenty years of imprisonment, he and his father, and the entire Yang clan would be elevated to nobles within the Earth Kingdom (Also meaning that Jerri's father would be accepted back into the family), and much much more. Jerri did not hesitant; he accepted the terms, spent three days gathering supplies, said good-bye to his father, and left Omashu in search for the Avatar. My Songs...

Kotone is as loyal as they come. If someone gets in good with her, she'll be their friend for life. She is also very protective of her loved ones, and those she deems as incapable of defending themselves. She'll do anything in her power to keep them safe. She is feisty and usually doesn't back down from a challenge.
This Is My Life...
Kotone was born to a Fire Nation general and one of his mistresses. Despite the controversy of her birth, her father and his real wife took her into their home to raise alongside her half-siblings. Her father was a retired general who was often brought in for advice on military affairs being discussed in the capital. During one of these trips, her father brought her along. Being a mischievous three-year-old, she snuck away from the palace maids looking after her and happened to bump (literally) into the crown prince while he was playing a game with children of some nobles. They were best friends ever since.
Seeing a chance to gain favor with the Firelord, Kotone's father moved the family into the capital and enrolled her in the Fire Academy for Girls when she was the proper age. As Kotone and the prince grew up, they grew closer. She was with him when it was announced his newborn brother was the Avatar, and the prince admitted to her his feelings about it. Although she had no ill feelings towards the child herself, she was against him for her friend's sake. Once the child disappeared, Kotone was glad he wasn't around to upset the prince anymore.
Years later, at the age of sixteen, she was asked to be the prince's personal bodyguard/escort, due the fighting capabilities she acquired in the Academy. Ever since, Kotone was by her friend's side, keeping him safe from any danger. When the prince decided to go after his brother, she didn't hesitate to leave with him.

the one who always brings a little enlightenment to dark situations. I mean, they don't call me an Air Nomad for nothing! All I do every day is sit around and study scrolls about past Air Nomad experiences, including our almost-extinction. It's a pretty humbling thing to think that, thanks to the great Avatar Aang, we were able to survive. But, considering I'm the only female Air bender, life in the temples is a little hard so, to cope, I find myself always smiling and trying to make people around me laugh by acting silly. The monks may look down on me once in a while but it's their respect you're really after. I live to make people laugh, but sometimes that means that my true feelings get pushed beneath the surface, causing me to sometimes lash out at random people. I could be having a normal conversation and then something someone says just sets me off. It happens to everyone, I know, but my timing is always really weird... This Is My Life...
My life is simple but I don't regret living it the way I have. I have filled my time with scrolls and the teachings of the monks since I could remember. I've lived with boys my entire life so they've been my friends unceasingly all this time. I couldn't ask for a bigger, better family than the one I've created here at the Eastern Air Temple. I actually wasn't born at the air temple. The monks told me that I was born in a village outside Ba Sing Se, into a family with a history of Air Benders but none currently alive so they came to the Monks and asked them to take me and train me the ways of an Air Bender. So, with that said, I guess it's safe for you to assume that I have never met my parents. But it's never bothered me because the monks take the place of any parental figure I might need. Because I am the only female Air Bender as far as we know I have the entire top tiers of the center building all to myself. It consists of two floors filled with reading rooms, Bending practice rooms, bed chambers, washrooms, and visitor bedrooms (not that I've had any of those before...).
Lets just say that my life is one filled with learning and rituals. I am a creature of habit. But if something were to disturb my daily loop I would welcome it, because I' not a afraid of change. My Songs...

Most people who meet Gin are either left stupefied or sometimes even more curious about the strange man with silver wavy hair. Nothing bad about that right? Well in some cases you'd be wrong. Most of the time when he's angry it's because he hasn't satisfied that crazy sweet tooth of his. His favorite food, strawberries of course and why not. The only other bad thing about Gin is that he tends to be hard headed about most concept of life such as giving up. But where there is one side of a coin there is always the other side. Gin is the kind of person who is never willing to break a promise, in some cases it can be bad but in other cases it causes him to be even more determined than he normally puts on. Before Gin settled down on Kyoshi Island Gin used to live in the North Pole. As a child living as the son of the Chief Gin always hated the fact that he had to li1ve a life that was some what lonely. In fact it made him hate the fact he was the son of the Chief at the time. Most of his life he spent in the palace but he also lived a secret life. After oh say the moon fell he would sneak out of the palace. Most of what he did was play pranks, use water bending, and all sorts of stuff normal children would do. One day how ever changed his life.
While he was out causing mischief and such he and his friend found themselves in the Spirit Oasis but at this time it was forbidden for anybody to go in unless necessary. Being the little children they were of course they had to fool around. He and his friends took a look around and that was when he found the Koi Fish swimming around in the small pool. He was mesmerized by the sight of them swimming around in the perfect circle patter. It was at that moment he lost all consciousness. When he woke up he was all wet and from that day forward his life had changed.
Not only did his hair change from being black as night to being as silvery as the snow that covered the city. Every time he slept he could feel as if he had fallen out of reality and had fallen into the Spirit World. Not only that but he had become even more secluded than he had already been. By this time Gin had had just about enough of it all. To free himself Gin snuck out of the main house and eventually found his way onto a boat and found himself on Kyoshi Island. Even though nobody knew who he was he had never the less tried to make a life for himself. As of today he is not only an inhabitant of the Island but he is also one of the most Talented Artist one the Island, he also takes part in protecting the Island by being apart of the Kyoshi Warriors. And as an added bonus, nobody knows his secret.

Mai Lee is a meek child, quiet and sensitive. Rarely does she speak up and say what is in her heart, instead she keeps it in her head where she can over think and analyze. She often thinks of herself as 'fuddy', thinking that she will some how mess things up; but she still tries her best. Mai Lee always gives her all into doing a task, and makes decisions based upon if she will regret them or not. Mai loves being with others, and likes to listen, if ever asked about her input she would get vastly nervous. Mai Lee appreciates hard work, and thinks that in order to gain friends she must work hard to help them. She is more of a follower than a leader and doesn't mind one bit, being convinced that she is helping. While having a quiet personality, she does get mad from time to time, but nothing over-the-top; instead of a volcano she is more like a small kitten. Mai Lee is a hard worker, working hard to gain more courage and charisma, she often longs to be adventurous and brave like other people that she see's, thus she is easily swayed by their words and often goes along with anything that one might say. The only child of her family, a family that was not well-to-do. While her family wasn't destitute they were neither bathing in riches. She grew up in the Northern Water Tribe for most of her life, her parents had kept her inside, only letting her out to go fetch things or to do chores; for they didn't accept their child's water bending abilities. When Mai Lee's parents found out that she could water bend they were fearful, thinking of it as a curse that would bring their family shame or uproot them from a quiet lifestyle. She had never found out why, but the shunning of her abilities had caused her to never use them, rarely does she practice, for fear of being seen; her own mind has been bent into her parents way of thinking - that she should never, under no circumstances, bend water, because it was more trouble than good. Mai Lee loved the Northern Water Tribe, even though she did not get to go out and play as often as she would have liked, she had gotten to watch from inside her home, taking sly peeks every so often.
Her father took a liking to history, any type of any era and he knew it well, he had told her that his dream was to see the world and learn of its past secrets; but it was something that he never got to accomplish once he settled down. Mai Lee's mother is a simple woman, a charming lady who fell deeply in love with her husband, always doing what she was told and raising Mai Lee to do the same. Mai Lee herself doesn't have too many interests, just being of use to people when she can be. While Mai believes that her parents love her deeply and do not dislike her they had moved when she was sixteen, fearful still of her water bending. For a while they had traveled, taking boats over to far away places, not staying for a long time. Their father held jobs, not keeping too many because no one needed a historical man, Mai Lee became a grown up quicker than intended as she gained odd jobs in their temporary homes. These frivolous jobs helped her to learn more skills, but it kept her limited to cooking, cleaning and serving. Never once has she gotten into a fight, maybe one sided arguments where she agrees that it is her at fault, but never a fist fight. Her water bending skills are limited as well, a basic beginner who is capable of making a small water-ball float.
Eventually their home hopping led them to Kyoshi, where they have slowly began to settle down, her parents woes and worries seemed to have calmed down as well. Still she is mostly unsocial, except for when she works part-time. Mai looks up to mostly anyone around her, easily following their orders if they are for the benefit of anyone except herself; thus she is swept up sometimes into trouble that she wouldn't normally get into. Katsuro is a bit of a hothead... ok, he’s a big hot-head although he doesn’t have a short fuse. He has a mild amount of self-control when it comes to his temper. Even when he is angry, he is quick on his feet. He is a very jealous person; he doesn’t enjoy being around people with a higher status than him, but at the same time he pushes himself to become stronger or more respected than those around him. He can be kind when he wants to, and he knows where his loyalties lie. When he gives his word, he’s not usually one to go back on it. At the same time, once he makes a decision, it’s hard to change his mind. This Is My Life...
Katsuro was the golden child. He was the prince of the Fire Nation, he was intelligent for a child, he was obedient and polite, and he had no trouble in learning the techniques of firebending. Unfortunately, he was eclipsed by his younger brother. Through what few years they lived together, everyone he knew would always be talking about his younger brother like he was a god or something. It drove Katsuro to the edge and he despised his brother with every ounce of his body. In truth, he actually despised all the attention his brother got. The only person who paid Katsuro any heed was his best friend, Kotone. For that he was very grateful, but it didn’t seem to be enough.
Three years after his brother was born he managed to get the truth out of his father about what had happened to their mother. He slowly became more distant to his father and they rarely ever speak to each other outside of discussing military tactics.
When the Fire Priests snuck his brother out of the Fire Nation, he was happy, or so he thought. He figured things would turn in his favor and people would pay him more attention, but that didn’t happen. People were worried about his brother, wondering what would happen to the nations with the avatar missing. By the time Katsuro turned eighteen, he had had enough and set out, with Kotone, to find his younger brother and put an end to all of it. At first sight, Jin appears to be a strange young man with his head in the clouds. Due to the fact that he never seems to be interested in the world that everyone else sees, he can be seen as arrogant or even rude as most adults put it, even if it is the complete opposite of how he is. The reason that he acts as so is because he is simply amazed with the spirit world that only he can see and he wants to take it all in. With the exception of the avatar, he is the only human bridge to the spirit realm and he finds himself special due to that even if people just call him a freak or even cursed.
With his parents though, Jin tries to act normal like his brothers. Yet because he can sense their auras he knows that while they love him dearly, they fear their child even more. Often he will do whatever it takes to please him even though he knows that it will never work. He will often be the one that will do the jobs that none of his brothers would take, like take care of their bedridden mother and bathe her, dump the chamber pots, and take jobs that most people would not think of doing, like his brief time as a grave digger.
When it comes to others though, Jin likes to be around people with warmers auras and those who are kind to him despite the way he looks and acts. Often he will only steal from those with hurtful and rough auras, his own little act of helping karma do its job. Even if he doesn't get along with normal people well, he enjoys being around those with kind auras and will sometimes let his softer side out for them. Jin's blunt nature though his is biggest down point to his personality that turn most away from him. While he is unaware of it, already knowing someone's feelings because of their aura, people think of him as rude by the way that he will outright react to people. This Is My Life...
HISTORY For the first five years of his life, Jin Cheng was considered a normal child. He was the youngest of four sons and was often his mother's baby, being coddled by her constantly due to the fact that he was her last child she could have since his complicated pregnancy. Even in looks he was normal, having tanned skin, dark hair, and brown eyes like the rest of his family. His early childhood could be considered normal enough, just like any other earth nation child from a poor village. All of this ended when the normally healthy child took sick.
At first the sickness was brushed aside as nothing but a common cold and he was allowed to take a break from chores and relax for a few days in his family's hut. Yet days passed and Jin's fever only got point and soon it got to a point where the child began thrashing constantly, wetting himself, and hallucinating, not even able to recognize his own family members. The village healers did all that they could but nothing worked. Out of desperation, his mother and father prayed to the spirits of the earth to save their youngest son. In desperation and against the advice of the healer, Jin's mother took him to the village's sacred Spirit Oasis.
The Forrest Spirit took pity on the dying child and his mother and gifted him with part of its own life force, saving his life. As a side effect, Jin's appearance changed in a dramatic way, his hair turned an unnatural shade of silver/white, his eyes became a muted blue, and his skin was much lighter than that of most people. At first, his mother was amazed at what had happened and that the spirits allowed her child to come back to her. When she returned to the village with the wide eyes child walking beside her, her husband along with most of the villagers said that he was cursed and a freak, stating that his very presence was unlucky.
The child that returned from the Oasis was different from the way he was before. The former Jin was playful and adventurous like his brothers, a bit impatient, and even a bit spoiled. This Jin though was wide eyed and looked at the world with wonder, often talking to the spirits that others could not see and was deemed crazy by some. It was his mother that took this change the hardest. At fiurst she denied that her son was different and tried to treat him the same way as before. This resulted in nothing but disappointment as she slowly began to realize that the child she originally loved was gone.
Slowing the woman sank into a deep depression where she refused to let her husband or any family members near her. Even as a child Jin could see her aura and noticed how it was fading. Whenever he tried to tell other what he could see he was brushed off, ignored, or even told not to lie about such things. More than anything he wanted his mother's warm and loving aura to some back and to feel her love for him but instead he was blamed for what was happening to her. By the time that the boy turned ten his mother was in a deep catatonic state, not being able to talk, feed herself, go to the bathroom on her own, or even able to show her emotions.
At this time, Jin knew that his father, brothers, and most of the village blamed him for her condition and said that he was cursed and so were those that come into contact with him. Often he was teased by other children, a common game for the bullies being to throw rocks at him while he was making a rare leave from his house and see if he would "curse" them. Of course nothing like that happened except frt him feeling even more alone without a friend in the world. His only refuge from such things was when he was alone in the forests that surrounded his village and he wad comforted by the spirits that only he could see and communicate with.
Shortly after his fourteenth birthday after years of isolation and being feared the last straw came when Jin accidentally overheard a conversation between his father and one of his brothers when the older man said "It would have been better off if the boy just would have died." Jin's denial finally ended and after careful planning, he left a note to his family and left the village, promising himself that he would work as hard as he could to send money and support his family and possibly earn their love back. Yet even out of the village he was looked down on thanks to his looks and his personality. Currently he takes whatever work he can get and is on a fishing boat.

Thanks to being gifted with life by the forrest spirit, Jin has the ability to see auras of different people, communicate with spirits, and even go to the spirit realm. Still being a normal human though, when Jin tries to go to the spirit realm his body is temporaily weak, feverish, and it will take him a few days after returning from the spirit world to get his strength back. Most of the time after his return he is unable to walk, sit up on his own, and is feverish. Besides being a medium, Jin has little skills. Naiyoki is a quiet child. It's not that she doesn't want to talk. It's just that she can't. She has a very smilely, warming, and innocent approach. A bit of a cry baby though. Not much of a fighter because she hates people getting hurt. Though she is not much of a talker, she always knows what to do when somebody is troubled by something. This Is My Life...
When Naiyoki was only a baby, her parents hid her in a well because of their home being invaded. Her parents died that day as the baby Naiyoki was left in the well that night crying. But was soon found by a couple of travelers as they raised her themselves. As Naiyoki was growing up, they found out Naiyoki couldn't speak because fire benders burned the poor Naiyoki baby when her home was invaded. But she was only able to say a few words. By the age of seven, she started showing that she was an air bender. The travelers dropped her off at the nearest air temple which was in the South. Naiyoki cried as the travelers left her but then one of the Air Bender Masters patted her head as she cried on his robe. The Air Bender then said to her "They told me you how they found you. Your parents must really loved you. You are so brave, being in that well for the night without making a sound so you wouldn't be found."
After that, Naiyoki started training under that Air Bender and who was also teaching her much more. Like she was his own daughter. Naiyoki always smiled everyday, feeling she finally had a real father figure. Till soon, when she turned thirteen. For her thirteen birthday, her master gave her a baby flying bison. Then, the fire nation came to the temple crashed into the air temple. Naiyoki, the baby flying bison, and her master then fled but the master stayed back for Naiyoki to make an escape with the flying bison. The baby flying bison carried Naiyoki on it's back as Naiyoki wanted to go back but knew the bison wouldn't let her. They landed out in the forest far away from the temple as Naiyoki cried. Not knowing if her master is dead or alive. Now, she searches for the Avatar. To help stop the Fire Nation's rain. My Songs...

Ringo has long and wavy blond hair, blue eyes, full lips, and a beauty mark located under the right side of her mouth.[3] She is well-known for her curvaceous figure, her most distinctive feature of it is her very large breasts, often seen because her love of flaunting her features. She is not the slightest bit modest about her appearance, frequently referring or complaining about her large breasts in normal casual conversation, much to the embarrassment/amusement of anyone around at the time. When she tried to learn waterbenging to fight she decided that violence was not what she wanted and became a healer instead.
Now as a grown woman, she has become quite the beauty with a charming and gentle personality. Let's get one thing straight right here, right now, before I go any farther. If you're generic and boring, ya might as well look to talk to someone else. Boring people annoy me. Interesting people... those I like. Well, since you're still here, might as well get this over with. Where I'm from? That's old news, and you'll find out when the time's right. The World's odd like that, but then again, people say so am I. So, movin' on, I'm straight up with people. If I don't like ya, I'll say so. If I like ya, I'll say so too. People call me a prankster as well, and so be it. If you're not laughing, then you're not livin' and that's no good.
My martial arts knowledge comes from nine years on the road, goin' with the flow of Nature. My bending skills stem from the same road. One on one, you don't stand a chance. Two or three on one? You're in the right direction to make things decent. See, the World's gone soft. Humans are too humble. Almost everyone has lost Pride; they're not prideful of their accomplishments. That's the difference between me and you. You see the World and say 'I'm an Average Joe-Blow, just trying to make a livin'", while I stare everyone in the face and shout out: "I'm the greatest EarthBender in the World, and don't ya forget it!" That's not being 'conceited', that's 'statin' the facts'. This Is My Life...
There are things ya need to know about me, and things ya don't. My birth in Ba Sing Se? Boring. Now, when I began my like on Kyoshi Island? That's where it really got interesting. See, I was only a child then, maybe five or six, but I'd managed to buy my way through the sea on a boat. Next thing I know, I'm being taken in by the locals. They didn't care who I was, and trust me, that's a major point the folks back home pen on me. No, Ba Sing Se ain't my home, Kyoshi Island is. So from then on, I learned how to defend myself, convinced the Kyoshi Warriors to train me in their martial arts ways. A year of that and I started noticing things... like the fact I could move boulders without literally touching them. I was an Earthbender.
From then on, my studies revolved around the bendig arts, though I still did sharpen my physical martial art styles. They were my strength; I'd much rather hit someone with my fist than fling a rock at them. I'd occasionally travel a bit, learn more secrets that my bending could unlock. Sand, for instance, could be manipulated. Metal, too. But I always returned to the island and got the real studying done there. As that was going on, dear old dad was losing his marbes. Won't say who, but let's leave it at... if you're an Earth Kingdom resident, you know him.
Some time ago, something woke me up during the night. Then I felt something calling me, like it was time to do something. Donno what, but something big's goin' down... and I'm all for bashin' some baddies. My Songs...

He was born blind, but when he learned to Earthbend, he is able to see through waves caused by motion and sound. (Think Toph). And though he claims to be a great Earthbender, he tries to keep that fact concealed until he needs to use it. He'd rather do things the hard way than the easy way.
