I thought i'd make a place where we can all post links to websites that have designs we admire. It can be inspirational.. and stuff.

Anyway here are a few i like. I'll post more when i find them.

Moonflowers by Don Barnett
Lynda Weinman
Logo Bee

Don Barnett's artwork is phenomenal and i really love how his designs never fully depart from his personal style but are able to cater to completely different clients with different needs. Moonflowers is gorgeous and actually inspired a firefly theme i'm using on my digital portfolio.

Lynda's website is a great source for information. She has tons of free tutorials on different kinds of software and excellent inspirational links as well (which is what first brought me to her website).

Then Logo Bee is a company that designs logos, stationary, letterheads, and websites. Even though it's not really artistically impressive stuff, their logos kick some a** and for people who find themselves designing logos it's a good resource for inspiration and keeping up to date with streamline/abstract styles.

wow, that site was gorgeous! he has an awesome style. very reminiscent of Roman Dirge only a little more sophisticated and clean looking. i can see that place being an awesome source for inspiration when you're looking for ideas.

Nethersphere by Stephanie Lostimolo
Aimee Major
Sarah Gross: Lady of Dragons

Here are a few more sites i was just recently reminded of. Stephanie Lostimolo has a very interesting anthropomorphic style and creates some of the most gorgeous landscapes i've ever seen. Unfortunately she took the majority off her work off of her site the last time she redesigned it. It has an excellent arcane feel to it.

Aimee Major's artwork was very intstrumental in my learning how to draw anime. some of her pieces are really brilliant, and i'm very envious of her talent. on her site (which is currently a little girly for my liking) she has a gallery of the different incarnations her site once had, which are really fun to look at.

Sarah Gross's site is really a lot of fun and when i was going through my fantasy phase she was pretty much my god. Her art site has a very playful energy to it and easily balances aesthetic appeal with functionality and easy navigation. her main site has a portfolio of web design projects she's done, also showing her skill are somewhat diverse. if you're having trouble with layouts, looking at Sarah's site should help spark something for you

http://www.thirstype.com - his fonts and many others can be found here (I wish I could buy some of those...)

Ever since I found his blog when searching for graphic design portfolios last year, I've been in love with his style. He does gorgeous, delightfully trashy and modern, work in 3D and even expresses that style in his printwork and fonts.

*Sadly, his portfolio (which has to be downloaded but I think is worth it) doesn't contain some art I remember him having on that page before it was updated.
