Headmaster
Name:
Arcous Rous Horus Abelem Riyashi Meltris
Nickname(s)
Headmaster Meltris
Age:
a few eons old, lost count
Personality:
Arcous is hard to predict most times. One day he could be as giddy as a school boy and the other he can be a living Hell. It's always best to catch him in a good mood. He can be very loving unless you aggravate him. He has a low tolerance for slackers and delinquents. Don't piss him off and you might make it through the year. He's a bit eccentric at times and a bit of a show off. He knows when it's time to play and when it's time to be serious. He also has a mysterious side, the side of him everyone just wants to, attracting many to him.
Bio:
Arcous' life started like any dragons' life in an egg. His mother was protective, so he hatched with her wrapped around him. A fierce white dragon with piercing blue eyes. Though his mother tried to control him, he was always off on his own, fending for himself. He was quick learner. He learned what he needed to just by watching the elders from a distance. He was able to concentrate his magic at a younger age than most dragons. He progressed quickly in his life and started traveling, learning of the other creatures and learning more of his own power. Arcous made many friends on his travels, having an attractive personality and his humanoid form wasn't half bad looking.
As he aged, so did the world. Things went from wild to buildings being built, not electric things being invented. Arcous, of course, adapted well. But.. The human raced advanced as well. They got scared of creatures like Arcous. Started wars with some of them and hunted others. Soon, all mythical races started depleting Arcous was able to hide amongst the human though most of his race was eradicated, leaving him to be one of few dragons left. Arcous knew this was no way for creatures such as him to live. He discovered this other realm. It was just woods and a few bodies of water. No inhabitants. He took it upon himself to create sort of a sanctuary for mythical creatures, to teach the young ones of their almost extinct races and hopefully have them replenish their kind. He built, by himself, a large castle he would use as for a school, boarding school. Thus the Academy of Mythical Creatures was born. Arcous hand picked fourteen students every year, since the races were small. He's been doing this for a few years now and every year is better than the last. He definitely loves his job. But always feels as something is missing.. Hmm..
Other Info:
Be careful when he is in his dragon form. He can manipulate all the elements and is telepathic, also having telekinesis. His loyal companion is almost always by his side.

Name:
Masahiro Jeremiah Kelt
Nickname(s)
Masahiro, Masa, Hiro, Jer, Professor Kelt
Age:
3069
Personality:
Masahiro can seem cold. He's quiet and distant. He can be a very strict teacher if you rub him the wrong way. He does favor most students in his house better than any other students it will become obvious when you get to know him. It is best to catch Masahiro in his tranquil mood. Don't anger him and he won't hate you for the rest of the year.
Bio:
Masahiro was the spawn of a mermaid and a vampire. His mother happened to have wandered out the water and onto land. When mermaids dry, legs appear. Well she, being beautiful and having a lovely voice as mermaids are told to be, had attracted a vampire. His father was prince of a dark nation and his mother was princess of the sea. The two met and his father was instantly attracted to his mother. Sadly, Masahiro's mother had to leave her people if she was going to be with this vampire. Her father was a cruel man and very strict. She was actually already betrothed to another man. But she was in love with the vampire and turned her back on her people. The two were married and had a son, Masahiro. But Masahiro wasn't the healthiest of babies. He had many health problems and the doctors gave the infant a month to live. This broke his mother's heart. But his father, being the vampire he was, thought this was unacceptable.
So, in the dead of night, the king took the young prince and dropped him off at the beach for the seagulls to eat. Masahiro cried and cried. Well more like wheezed. He attracted seagulls who picked his eyes out. Wasn't like he could see anyway. But now he was a poor little baby with no eyes, wheezing, crying, and alone. But he made it to morning. An old vampire couple had found him. They were actually kindhearted people. They took the poor infant in. Though the whole no eyes things wasn't good. So the man got a rag and tied it over Masahiro's eyes. This made him look somewhat normal. Masahiro lived through the doctors' odds... The couple found out he was a vampire when his sharp teeth started to grow. What a painful experience. The couple raised Masahiro as their own, since his adopted mother couldn't have children. Neither the couple nor Masahiro knew he was a merman. Until that day. A few kids were picking on him and he was pushed into the pond. As far as Masahiro knew, he couldn't swim. So he thought he was going to drown and so did his adopted parents. But the boy popped his head out the water soon enough, feeling weird. His father pulled him out the murky water, revealing a black scaled fish's tail. As shocked as they were, his parents still accepted him.
Then, humans began to take over. Vampires were forced to Hell. But what was Masahiro to do. He was not a full blood vampire and he did not want to go to Hell. And later, he found out merpeople were completely eradicated. He stayed on the surface, hiding from the humans by disguising himself in another form. He was able to make a potion that created this disguise. It even gave him eyes, though he still could see right. One day, he received the letter to The Academy. How could he read it? That'll be mentioned later. Anyway, he attended the school. His specialty was potions. Well, he graduated from the academy. The headmaster saw potential in the demonic merman. Masahiro was asked to teach. He accepted and became head of the house he was selected for, Snake. Now he teaches the wonder of potions. Spending his days creating many of them and swimming in the great lake of the academy.
Other Info:
Probably wondering how Masahiro could even get to the school or read the letter. Well he wasn't all that blind, thanks to a magical spell. He can somewhat see but his vision is blurry and everything is red. But it's sorta like thermal vision. Warmer things look darker, cooler things look lighter. Letters come up black though, paper just a light red. He can also manipulate water. His precious baby, Driko, seems to be the only one he really loves. The snake is always around his neck. If you hang out by the lake, you may see him in his true form

Archarrun Horus St. Laurelian
Nickname(s)
Arc, Saint, Horu
Age:
497
Personality:
He is brutally honest, but he's also quite cold in his own right. He hates talking to people, especially about his feelings. Arc isn't a very social creature, but the only time he will at least try to be civil is during his class. Or when the Headmaster is trying to talk to him. But other than that, he'd prefer to be by himself and be left to his own thoughts. Not to mention he's stubborn enough to rival the most foul tempered beasts.
Bio:
Archarrun was born of a small village. A simple village on the plains. But, even as a child, he could not hide the boredom the farm he worked with his parents brought him. Everything was just a routine. Nothing exciting. Sure he could live with that for a while, but soon his heart began to ache. Ache for those horizons his father would yell at him to stop staring at. His father, being quite a hardened, close-minded man, told the poor red pup to not dream of such far places and get back to work.
Of course how long would one expect a child of such tenacity and stubbornness to listen? Arc, after reaching into what was equivalent of a human teen, packed his things and left home while his father was out trading with other packs. And what did he run across but so many sights and sounds he never experienced before. After a few months of roaming, he ran back home to tell his family of what he saw, but he wasn't expecting the horror of what awaited him at home. His village had been attacked and everyone killed. And how could one forget the raging fires set upon the houses and fields? The young wolf tried to find anyone alive, but was unsuccessful. All he had left was the sword of his family, pulled from the ashes of his burning home.
Arc knew he could not stay here. There was no food, no water, and it was exposed to more attacks. So he left, and went back to roaming the land. After what felt like an eternity, a hawk dropped a letter on his head while he was napping one day. To his surprise it was for a school just for people like him. Arc didn't pass up the opportunity for safety and the chance of learning. He went straight to the school, where he remained for years, mastering his classes, striving to get the top in class of all he took. And he was pretty much successful. But as he aged, he soon applied to become a teacher, to pass on the knowledge he had learned. And he was honored to receive it. Now he teaches History at the school, secretly enjoying passing on the knowledge of the lands he studied so fervently in his youth.
Other Info:
Arc takes pride in his swordsmanship. He always practices, of course away from the school in a clearing he had found in the surrounding woods. He also likes to watch clouds, makes him feel at peace, ya know? Arc also will kill for strawberries. He'll never admit it, but he loves them to death. And he has a second form that he usually likes to sulk around in.

Name:
Alistair Benjamin Blood
Nickname(s)
Al, Ben, Mr.Blood, Professor Blood, AB(Jokes involving blood type).
Age:
Unkown, past 5000
Personality:
Alistair is reserved when it comes to his personal life, like his other co-workers he's a bit distant also, but will make himself available for the willing students to learn. He takes pride in his own knowledge and tends show off his tounge with sarcasim towards his students or associates. Half the time when others seem him there is a book jammed in his face. He doesn't mind chatting, and though not the greatest in social situations he knows how to work them to his advantage. He's insecure with feeling he has a lack of ability to practicing what he learns, and tends to be stubborn about his own feelings if he doesn't like them.
Bio:
Alistair's mother dissapeared before he hatched (It's rumored that she was hunted and killed). It was the Head Master himself that found his black egg and was hatched by him. He learned from a true dragon and spent his first century in the school, the personal teachings from Head Master Meltris to that of the teachers around the school. He was a quick learner and became one of the top students. He truly only learned about his race with Head Master Meltris , though he was his fatherly figure for a bit, the relationship faded to that only Alistair saw as a respectable authority and only ever has he called him Head Master Meltris.
With feeling pent up over the years he traveled outside the realm, almost running away until caught though he was let go anyway. He went far and wide in his human form, living a life or two, but found things not very glamourous as he hoped it to be when he heard stories from others. He came to conclusion that the world was beautiful in it's own sense, but very much dark. He learned a lot, and when he came back he was offered the job to teach. He did so, and when not teaching he prefferred to stay up in his own room or studies by himself. He never gave the world much of a chance with his quick conclusion and was quick to return to where he first began. Highly book smart with good problem solving skills, his fighting abilities are questioned as there are only few who have seen his actual dragon form. Many usually have to ask his associates on what race he is, as he normally refuses to answer personal questions towards his students.
Other Info:
Despite his travels his lock ups in certain areas and in the school , he could be considered a bit sheltered with mostly just book knowledge. He's changed his name a lot, his real name is Emil Aralo Dalmanic Plas. He hides a bit of infatuation over the Head Master, and usually avoids any idea of it stubbornly.

Nickname(s)
{Optional}
Age:

Personality:
Andrew is an adventurous fellow. He loves to explore and see what awaits him. He's a fun loving guy and can be quite sarcastic. As long as you're not some depressed loner, he'll happily be friends with you. He's a bit of a flirt and thinks himself quite the romantic. It's pretty hard to anger him. He's such a carefree spirit.
Bio:
Andrew was born a human. His family -the time being medieval- were middle classed. They got by quite well. He was the baby of four children so he was a bit 'spoiled'. The family was a loving one and they all helped each other. Andrew grew to be quite the man. He also rebelled against the royal family, thinking their rules quite unfair. He and a few people his age had a few protests. On one of then, a carriage came speeding by, running Andrew over. It sliced his body open. He died instantly. The funeral was quite sad and Andrew got to see it before he was able to go to heaven. The thing was, he was so young. He didn't want to die.
So, as he made it to Heaven, he begged that he remain on Earth and explore. After some debating, he was granted his wish. After all, he was a good boy. Andrew became only half an angel, giving him the ability to travel quickly. As live progressed, humans became angrier with other races. They seem to despise those who were different. Even angels. When Andrew returned to finally access Heaven, the human had built an impassible fortress in his entrance. He was not allowed into Heaven. He remained half an angel and became half a ghost, since his other half had to be something. He travel more, now lonely. Then one day, he was accepted into this school. He studied there, looking into the history and wonders of the human world. It was very magnificent, even if the people that inhibited it weren't. After he graduated, Arcous asked him to be a teacher, the last one dying already and Andrew had the highest marks in that class. He accepted and is now a teacher of the academy.
