With the coming of winter, the trees stand stiff.
Water freezes over, fogs and mist.

Critters curl up in hole and home,
Weather turns bitter, it's just so cold.

Yet not all is gone, beauty still remains.
A blanket so pure, so white, sublime.

Frost-bitten flowers glimmer and shine.
Ice-covered berries, still sweet and divine.

Cold on the outside, yet warm within.
He wears a frown to hide his grin.
