Right around the time the Hidden Villages were beginning to form these people gave up their nomad lifestyles and settled deep in the wilderness around Otogakure. Away from the world, they had settled around Ryuchi Cave, home of the Snake Sage and their summons. Being a people at peace with nature, they lived alongside these snakes for many years. As time passed, they came into contact with these snakes and as Ninjutsu spread to the corners of the world, the Dokuja learned from these snakes their unique set of jutsu. It was then that the fundamentals of the clan began to change. They began training and raising small hatchling snakes to serve as pets and companions to themselves. Due to their isolation and symbiotic relationship with the denizens of Ryuchi Cave, they know little of outside techniques and find them rather hard to learn. Nowadays the Clan has grown so large that members have begun leaving the safety of their wilderness hideaway to see the world. But living with these snakes for so long has had unforseen side effects on it's people. Through the generations of using snake jutsu, the Dokuja had found they had begun to exhibit traits and characteristics of their reptillian counterparts. This has given them a more serpent like appearance, as well as the sensory abilities of a snake. Members of this Clan predominately choose the Animal Tamer Class, but other classes of ninja have been known to be selected.--

--We See Like They Do-- --Dokuja Clan members have the senses of their serpentine counterparts. This includes a heightened sense of smell and the ability to not only see like a human but to see in infrared. This ability to see heat is the method snakes use to capture prey and Clansmen have learned to utilize this ability to give sight when they would otherwise be sightless. This heat sense operates constantly alongside their other senses.--
--We Feel the Earth Beneath Us-- --Due to the Dokuja's close ties with the natural enviroment, they are more proficient in the use of Natural Energy. This ability allows them to sense the Natural Energies of the Earth along with easier use of those same energies. While not on the same level as say the Jyuugo Clan, they can draw that energy into their bodies to aid them in battle. By using this connection, it allows a Dokuja member to charge Natural Energies in one (-1) less post than is required for various techniques.--

--Shed Skin Shuriken: D-Rank-- --By utilizing skin shed from their forearms Clan members can then use their chakra to wield them as weapons. These shurikens are faster than normal metal shurikens and are best used to keep the opponent off balanced.--
--Snake Expulsion Technique: C-Rank-- --After making handsigns the user opens their mouth and a snake emerges. The user will then drop onto all fours and the snake will leave the body growing in size as it does so. The snake will travel in a straight line towards the opponent, only being able to turn slightly to either side on the chance the opponent attempts to sidestep. If it connects this snake will ram into the opponent and throw them about as it slithers over top of them before disappearing--
--Hebi Henge no jutsu (Snake Transformation technique): B-Rank-- --After making the necessary handsigns, the user's mouth splits open and the user will emerge in a much more serpentine form. This form lasts for five posts and allows the user +1 in speed during this time. After those five posts are up, the user will shed off this snake like form and emerge from it's mouth.--
--Kuchiyose no jutsu: Nidaime Manda (Summoning Technique: Manda II): A-Rank-- --After performing the necessary handsigns and blood sacrifice, the user is capable of summoning a Dokuja Clan unique summon. Manda II is an offspring of Manda that was taken and experimented on by the Dokuja. Slightly smaller than Manda, he makes up for his lack of size with the addition of venom. As a hatchling still in the egg, Manda II was implanted with the genetic structure of both a rattlesnake and a cobra. His legs were a failed attempt to bring back the snakes vestigal limbs and now only help him grasp onto his prey.--
--Yamata no Jutsu (Eight Branches Technique): S-Rank-- --After focusing a monumental of chakra and Natural Energy, the user is able to take on the form of the Yamata no Orochi. The Yamata was a mythical eight headed snake who could level mountains. This version of it's namesake is smaller and unable to crush mountains, but is dangerous in it's own right. This jutsu lasts for five posts, and after expiring cannot be used in the same fight. This jutsu boosts Strength and Speed by +2/+1. The user after performing this technique is 2/3 the size of a full Bijuu release. In order to use this technique the user must channel both chakra and Natural Energy for a total of three (3) posts.--

His very ordinary parents had settled themselves among the mountain range that hosted Ryuchi Cave. They had heard the rumors of the cave were untold amounts of snakes seemed to gather but believed themselves safe from the fear the others tried to spread. It was wild country and only the most hardiest dared to settle there. His father was an huntsman and his wife a maker of threads and other household wares. Neither of them had been ninja, nor did they have much interest in the world beyond the shady glen they called home. What mattered to them was contained within the small wooden cabin they called home. As time progressed they had a son. The sight and sounds of their very own child filled the two with such joy and happiness they had never known. Life continued much the way it had always had for the small couple. Unbeknownst to them several miles away a family of a much different sort was welcoming the addition to their family as well. Born on the same day as Narumi high up the mountain in Ryuchi Cave a low leveled snake summon was waiting anxiously for her brood to hatch. There were a little under a dozen eggs and as the mothers tongue flickered in anticipation cracks could be seen forming on their almost leathery surface. Over the next couple of hours the brood of newborn snakes pushed their way through the shells of their temporary homes. Almost all of them were like their mother with mottled patterns of drab browns and grey. One was different than all the rest having emerged completely white. This snake was also celebrated among the elders as word spread of it's uniqueness. Named Sora by the elders, they felt that his greatness would surpass the clouds. It was a name given as a token of well wishes by the elders, hoping Sora's uniqueness meant that his life was one to be unlike the others. As the years flowed by the two individuals grew their own respective ways. Fate was shaped by the time the young Narumi was six years old. He had wandered a little further into the forests than he knew he was allowed. Forests enclosed his little cabin on all signs and while his family didn't fear the rumors of Ryuchi cave they nonetheless wasn't the kind to tempt fate. But the boy was adventurous and danger was an afterthought. As he wandered through unfamiliar country he came to a small clearing in the woods and came upon our young white snake. Neither of them had ever seen anything like the other and both were equally frightened and fascinated. Sora had been told of the humans but this was the first real one he had ever seen in real life. Narumi on the other hand had heard of snakes, seen a few himself, but had never laid eyes on anything as awe inspiring as Sora. Both left without interacting with each other that first time, but soon enough Narumi was venturing to this same meadow to catch sight of Sora. While nothing happened at first eventually they came upon each other. Narumi was content to watch the snake, spending their time together silently. It wasn't until after the fourth such meeting that this changed. Narumi had come outside his home and found Sora just within the tree line waiting in a spot easily seen. After that the two of them were inseparable. Eventually his parents found out as no six year old is good at keeping secrets. At first they were mortified, afraid that the rumors were true about the Cave's bloody reputation. But his father as a woodsman of substantial skill had seen some of the snake summons that resided in Ryuchi Cave. He knew the mentality humans had of the slithering reptiles but his time in the forests taught him they were like any other animal. Respect, caution and a mutual understanding were the keys to successful cohabitation. His mother wanted to stop all contact between the two of them. His father was the more curious of the two. Both believed firmly in residing in harmony with the world around them. Deeply in tune with nature they had passed this belief down to their son. He was able to stalk silently through the undergrowth and hunt like his father. He knew the value of preserving what was around and learned the uses of plants from his mother. Both realized that this friendship between human and reptile a result of their teaching. His mother finally changed her mind when she finally seen Narumi with Sora. The snake was perched around the boys shoulders loosely, and was rubbing the side of his scaly head on the boys cheek. The joy evident on Narumi's face silenced any further issues that might have troubled her. They both listened to all of the boys stories in case they might catch a hint of danger but years passed without incident. The Elder Snakes were also very aware of Narumi as well. Being summoned animals they understood what such a bond could mean for the young Sora. They had already inspected the boys parents and deemed their child a suitable match. Finally when the Narumi child was thirteen they brought him to Ryuchi Cave. As the boy was leaving to hunt with his father one morning two large snake summons stopped them just outside his home. With them was Sora and seeing this the boy's father hurried and fetched his mother. The snakes brought the trio through the forests until they were within sight of Ryuchi Cave. Beckoning them inside, they were greeted by the Elder Snakes and finally the Sage of White Snake. It was here that Narumi signed the contract for the summoning of snakes and Sora officially recognized as Narumi's partner. This bonding solidified the strange friendship between mammalian and reptile. This was also when his surname was changed from Taiga to Dokuja. It was a tradition of the Sage of White Snake to bestow a name on such an individual. As the next two years went by Narumi began to manifest subtle changes that his parents could only attribute to his contract with the denizens of Ryuchi Cave. His eyes especially changed from the pale green they were since birth to a brilliant jade color with vertical slits for pupils. His skin became a pale white as he got older. Finally as the boy was nearing fifteen, the father one day was selling his and his wife's wares in the nearest town. They had heard rumors of a supposed boy possessed by the snakes of Ryuchi Cave. Instead of creating a vast rise in power like most zanpakuto Soukutsu takes that energy and condenses it instead. Yuurei grew up knowing that he was designed to be a weapon. While not schooled in the I have to kill everything mentality he was made aware at an early age that he was Host to the Two Tails. A genetic twist of fate and an opportune moment for the Fire Country to capitalize on an asset. With his Scorch Release blood line Yuurei represented the Fire Country's best chance at furthering the containment of the Nibi. Recently acquired by the Fire Country and captured within it's borders the cat had seen a few Hosts before it made it's way to Yuurei. Born the son to some every day folks who don't need much explaining Yuurei opted for following the ninja line of work at a rather early age. No other siblings to really contend with it wasn't until he was five or so that he first showed promise. The boy threw a horrible temper tantrum as the unbeknownst Scorch Release trait dictates. After some testing with the doctors they discovered that his mother and father's genetics blended just right to let him use the Shakuton skills later on in life. The presence of a kekkei genkai made it so that the parents had to register Yuurei's Bloodline as part of a database that tracked other Kekkei Genkais. This was how the ninja force first got wind of Yuurei's presence. A few short conversations of political weight pulling and some patriotic propaganda convinced his parents to let them implant the Two Tailed into their five year old son. Knocked out for the process he awoke not feeling quite alone but in the five year old's mind the thought soon faded. Matabi especially loved these years as Yuurei grew older purely because of how much she could nap. Ever so often the cat would intervene in those odd moments where everyone scratched their head wondering how he got out of that one. He was informed of his unique status when he turned ten when his parents felt that he was old enough to reconcile with the fact. The shinobi forces that did the Sealing hadn't been in contact for years and they felt their son had a right to make a decision for what he wanted to do with himself. Forever climbing and inexplicably always landing on his feet soon Yuurei independently arrived at wanting to join on as a shinobi. He felt restless as he grew older that there was more to see than just being a peddler or traveling merchant. This was the path that brought him to taking his Academy Exam and passing it well enough to become a genin. From becoming a genin and making his way into the ranks of the Village's shinobi force he's started to establish himself as the Jinchuuriki around town. For awhile he found himself retreating to some of the back streets to spend his time. Usually found being followed by the stray cats of the current part of town Yuurei's still a relative unknown at this stage of the game. Newly minted green horn status never sat well with anyone that he knew of so he intended to go and earn his paycheck at least.

Sitting amongst the training grounds Yuurei was leaning against one of the random piles of stone littering the area. A lot of folks tended to break these when they came here so he made sure to locate one that was kind of off on the side and away from most. He still wasn't the greatest at this and the last time he tried he had an outburst in the middle of class. Clearing his mind and focusing his concentration on his own chakra he waited. When he felt it it was like a ripple that ran through his own meager chakra. Tracing it to it's source within his body he felt almost like a rush and when he opened his eyes again he was in the mental world of the Bijuu. It was something he had only started to get the hang of recently, coming here when he wanted that is. Most of the time before that he would get pulled here by the Old Lady that was sprawled out before him. The Nibi or Two Tailed Cat was sleeping like usual when he came here by himself. He was glad he was getting the hang of it. Usually the Cat would pull him into this world right when something dramatic was going on. He wasn't sure if she had a twisted sense of humor or was just that sadistic. One thing you know you have a kunai flying at your face and the next you're here. Sighing, either way he was here. Thinking back on his teacher telling him he needed to learn to control the Nibi he sighed. Honestly, had anyone ever tried getting a cat to do what you want? The Nibi was brash, lazy and not afraid to tell him where to shove it. It was more like dealing with a cranky old woman with a potty mouth than anything like a demon of mass destruction. "Matabi." Yuurei said while trying to get the Bijuu's attention. One of her tails swished around lazily as the cat snorted in it's sleep. "Matabiii." muttered Yuurei a little more pressingly. "Wake up you silly cat." The Two Tailed snorted as a single eye sized up the kid in front of her. "I was awake this whole time..." replied Matabi as she rubbed a paw over her head as if to be like 'of course you idiot.' Bringing herself to an upright sitting position the flames the cat seemed to be composed of swirled a bit around the cat's feet. "Honestly I could smell you as soon as you got here. No missing that..."Yuurei's head fell back and he rolled his eyes. Sighing he took a shower last night and he really felt the cat had nothing else to critique. Taking a few steps toward the demon he held his hands up almost like a quiet plea and said "Please can I use your chakra for the training Sensei gave me?" Bringing his hands together like he was praying he continued "I gotta have that training done by next Tuesday...""No." replied the cat with a slight hiss. "Wait, what?" asked Yuurei a bit of a dumbfounded look on his face as he asked "Why?""Tired" came the response. "Bullshit." was called. "I don't have the time to waste trying to teach you how to control my flames." With a wave of a paw blue flames followed the movement in a slightly eerie and ghostly fashion. "But all you do is sleep anyways!" came Yuurei's response to that remark. "Exactly." Matabi replied as she stretched out and lazily swirled a paw around. "You know for a Bijuu that's supposed to be capable of destroying nations it's pretty amusing you're telling a kid he can't play with fire." Yuurei retorted crossing his arms. He tilted his head trying to figure out how he was supposed to convince the Nibi into helping him when he saw Matabi perk up and say "If you want to play with fire that bad here." Swiping a paw a small spectral ball of flame wafted over to the young ninja and merged with his chest. A faint blue glow emanated from Yuurei as he looked back at the Two Tails. "Don't come yell at me if you get burnt." The Two Tails said as she laid her head back down to sleep. The next thing that Yuurei knew was that he was back at the training grounds. Standing up from his sitting position he looked around before looking down at his hands. He could feel the Nibi's chakra and was surprised to see that his nails had taken on a sharper look. His eyes had gained a feline like slit pupil and they looked a little yellow in the sunlight. "Nice." he said as he began concentrating on manipulating the chakra the Two Tailed had gifted him with. Concentrating on a simple academy level skill and rather basic he could feel his own chakra supplemented by the Nibi's. Using the Shakuton's Scorching Hand technique his own hand glowed faintly with the Nibi's ghostly blue light for a moment as he began feeling the immense heat being generated. Placing the palm of his hand against the rock face he could feel it being transmitted and the rockface began to heat up. This was essentially what his instructor had wanted him to do. Get used to feeling how the Bijuu's chakra mixed with his. If he could recognize those moments when it happens it could help prevent him ever losing control to the Two Tails. Not that he thought the Nibi would do anything but take a nap if she ever did get out. Keeping at the pressure finally the rock could take no more and it cracked in a wide seam going partway through it's mass. "Well that was nifty..." he said as he looked around. He still had some of the Two Tail's chakra left. He wondered what next he should try....

(Calm, aloof, and pretty chill. Shuurin isn't like most around him. He's not stuck on himself, has nothing to prove and no one to beat. (Son of Hisaki Uchiha, a ninja that was born in the Fire Country. Hisaki moved with his family at a young age to the Land of Rain. (Named 'Shuurin' which means 'autumn rain' this has led the boy to have a unique view of life. Chill, easy going and very much one to go with the flow Shuurin has grown into a unique individual. Like his father he's relaxed but not nearly as obsessive analytical. His mother has led him to adopt a more cool, relaxed and easy going but attentive attitude most times. Ever since he was a kid he had a fascination with the way things worked. Whether it was figuring out how to open the scroll holster at 3 or accidentally casting shuriken summonings at 8 he's had his nose in what his father did for a living. Combine that with his insatiable hunger to understand the world around him and he was bound to enroll in the Academy. It was here that he proved his meddle for the craft of ninjutsu.
