Haha, I got a real kick out of this article. A few little tidbits I'd like to add:
The smart round: We've actually been using something similar to the XM-25 for years now. The rounds used in the 40mm cannons mounted on the AC-130 Spectre use the exact same concept. The rounds can be programmed to detonated just prior to the wall, just after passing through the wall, or even INSIDE the damn wall. It's a very cool and very fun weapon.
The lasers: Again, we've had these for awhile now. We have a laser that can be mounted inside a C-130 and can be used to burn targets from the sky. The sad part is that building, maintaining, and firing the weapons costs enormous amounts of money..... DX
