Recently in my browsing of the Web, I came across a project called KEO. Long story short, it intends to launch a short of "Time Capsule" into space that is not supposed to come back down for at least fifty thousand (50,000) years, and consists of, among other things, text messages from people.
It allows for anyone to input up to 6000 characters of text, and can be anything, from rants about world politics to poems to observations about the weather. Anything goes, and nothing is censored.
I found it incredibly interesting; after all, who doesn't want to leave a message that your descendants of 50,000 years from now will read?
