Eric saw the form of Devin on the ground. He slowed down and stopped in front of her. Doubled over and put his hands on his knees to catch his breath. "Devin...listen. I broke up with her. There is nothing going on there anymore." he said, looking down at her with sincerity in his eyes.

Devin looked up at Eric and sighed lightly. She stood up and threw her arms around his neck, letting the tears go away as she held him tightly. "I'm sorry for being a baby...I just...I really like you Eric...And...I-I cannot help it...And I thought you liked me too, but obviously you don't and...th-that's fine." she said quietly, her arms still around him.

Eric wrapped his arms around Devin's waist gently. "Sure...I'm here...I'm here." he replied. He then pulled her away gently so he could look into her eyes. He wiped the last few stray tears away. "I do like you too. Trust me. If I didn't I would not have dumped her." He then leaned down and gently placed his lips on her's.

Devin's face went bright red and she kissed him back. After a few seconds, she pulled away, and saw the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw prefect staring at them. "Hi." she said quietly.
"They told us to find you two, and say we can go to bed now." the Hufflepuff prefect girl said uneasily.
"Thank you. G'night Eric." she said before running down the hall.

The following day, Eric got up and hurriedly changed. He ran down to breakfast and was saddened to see that Devin was not already there. He sat at his table and smiled brightly as his team came over to him.
"Hey Cap'n. When are we starting practice?" one of the girls asked.
"Soon... I think." he said with a grin as they all sat around him, and they all became engrossed in a Quidditch filled conversation.

Devin walked into the Great Hall with a bright smile. Two of her friends were flanking her.
"Devin...he is totally staring!" Starre said excitedly.
Devin looked over at Eric and grinned brightly and waved. "Meet me after breakfast." she mouthed with a wink. She got odd looks by all, but went to her own table and sat down.

Eric smiled at what Devin had mouthed and turned his attention back to his team mates.
"What is up with you and Slytherin Mistress?" Janice Johnson asked with wonder.
"Nothing...for now." Eric replied with a cheeky grin as he got up from the table and looked Devin's way. Then, hoping she notd he had got up, stepped out of the Great Hall and into the main area to wait for her to come out of breakfast.

Devin smiled as she watched Eric get up and walk out of the Great Hall. She excused herself and followed him out. "Hey Eric!" she shouted running after him. She caught up with him and wrapped her right arm around his left arm.

Eric grinned down at Devin and kissed her on the lips. "Hey. So, are we gonna go public about this...or keep it hidden..." he asked with wonder. "Because...I don't know if I will be able to...It'll be hard for me." he said with a cheesy grin.

Devin sighed, and looked up at him. "My friends are okay with it...and..." she looked behind them to see the Slytherin Quidditch team, and the Gryffindor Quidditch team standing in the doorway of the Great Hall, watching them and whispering to one another. "And it seems so are yours. So I do not see why not." she said with a smile.

Eric turned and saw what Devin had saw. He grinned, winked at them, and then turned to Devin once again. "Alright." he said with a bright goofy grin, that, if he had been born back then, could have matched the Weasley twins' grins. Then, he swooped down and gave Devin a big ole kiss on her lips, making the two teams erupt into cheers.

Devin kissed back, but the cheers made her pull away, especially since now, both teams were surrounding them. "My, Devin, I didn't know you liked to wear Gryffindor colors." Jared Hardin, said poking her cheek, indicating that her face was Gryffindor red. "Shut up Jared." she said quietly.

Eric chuckled as he looked down at his schedule. "To Defense Against the Dark Arts, m'lady?" he asked, knowing he had it with the Slytherins. He wrapped an arm around her waist and held her close to him with a cheeky grin.

Devin nodded and began to lead the way away from their team mates, wanting to get away from their cheesy grins and hungry stares. "Ugh, I love my team mates so much Eric, but sometimes they frighten me." she said with a small smile.
