Jared's long black hair fell over his dark reddish gold eyes as his fingers flickered over the strings of his guitar, letting the tune float out. He wore nothing but a pair of dark gray pants that tucked into black calf high boots, showing his muscular form.

"Shut up already!" Ino yelled at Choji after he had complained he was hungry for the hundredth time "we're all hungry so lets just hurry up so we can find a place to eat." She huffed and hurried the pace towards the large tent ahead, they might be able to get some directions since they had been wandering around for over an hour without finding their way. There was a lot of commotion, everybody seemed to be bury hurrying around expect for one guy playing a guitar. Ino recognized the song he was playing right away and smirked "excuse me? We're lost, do you know where we could find somewhere to eat?" She asked sweetly, earning a mock from Shikamaru.

Jared tilted his head. "Sixth shop on the right," he said, shifting the toothpick in the side of his mouth before he exhaled sharply, the thin wooden needle shooting out with accuracy and hitting a small gong that rang slightly across the street and half a block over near a makeshift alleyway. "It's obvious those two drive you up the wall, though considering what was left of my clan is scattered more than the Nara's mind at the moment," he said half teasingly. Shikamaru glared at him for the teasing insult this time before he muttered something under his breath.

Ino looked over to where the boy had motioned and spotted the shop right away with the smoke rising from the burning coal "thank-" she began to say before Choji nearly knocked her over as he ran over to the stand. The girl was about to shout out something at her team member but decided against it since he was already out of earshot.
"You can't imagine, I feel like a babysitter" she joked to the stranger and crossed her arms in front of her.
"You know I'm standing right next to you?" Shikamaru pointed out sarcastically
"I know" Ino replied and smirked "go eat. I'm sick of you two" she said rather harshly. "I never got your name, I'm Ino Yamanaka" she said and offered her hand to shake.

Jared tilted his head. "Jared Reso, after my father.... unfortunately I don't know if he's still alive or not. I do know that my mother passed away during a rather harsh childbirth; my twin didn't make it either," he said carefully. He rolled his eyes at Shikamaru when he spoke. "It's safe to say he's more tense than a bowstring," he said as the Nara turned away, walking quickly after the larger guy. He took Ino's hand, unconsciously noting that though there were calluses there, the overall sensation was of warmth and softness.

Ino listened to the guitarist as he spoke about his family, it surprised her how families in this day and age seemed to be unable to stick together. She knew a few orphans in the academy and almost none of the shinobi in her village enjoyed a healthy family unit like she did. She shook his hand lightly, "I'm sorry to hear that, some people are just born to be alone" she said before registering her words, blushing at such a bold comment afterwards. Ino was the kind of person to blurt out her thought before filtering her words, it was a real handicap.

Jared chuckled. "I find it rather refreshing to find one who's more... blunt... reminds me of 'Taker," he said with amusement as he shifted to a different song he knew much better. He tilted his head to one side as he watched the girl from the corner of his eye.

Ino was relieve by the way he took her comment, she was expecting him to tell her off but apparently he didn't have an adversity to truth like most people usually did. She took a seat on a wooden box lying nearby to listen to him play, she always enjoyed listening to good music by good hands "you're really good, do you play for a living?"

Jared shifted one shoulder as he heard a crack, frowning fractionally. "Among other things; back home I was what you might think of as a Taijutsu entertainer... for me it was kinda a family business, since both my parents and my uncle was into it... he's somewhere around here," he admitted. He heard a grunting impact before he noticed a taller blond man rising from the ground where a roughly dressed man writhed.

"Wow, taijutsu isn't really my strongest point" Ino said taking a seat next to him, her legs were very tired from having to travel aimlessly hour after hour. "Who was your uncle?" She knew a lot of the most prominent ninjas and she supposed she might know him if he was famous enough. Her exposed shoulders started to get cold under the open wind so she ran her hands over them to warm up. Suddenly, she heard a ruckus not far from where she was sitting "what was that?" She asked standing up and looking over to a tall blonde man. Ino's posture stiffened as her eyes analyzed the man for his next move.

Jared shifted his weight, his gaze flicking alongside the wagon behind Ino. "His real name's Adam, but you likely know him as 'Edge'," he said casually. "Bandits trying to attack the caravan again, Onii-san?" he sighed as the blond nodded grimly, standing. "If you'll excuse me for a moment, Ino-san," he said with a faint smile as he shifted the guitar to lie next to the barrel beside him and stood in the same fluid movement. He exhaled, then darted forward and pushed off, springboarding up and over the wagon as Edge whistled in surprise. "Kid's agile on his feet, more like Will than me," he admitted sheepishly as a couple of grunts and thuds sounded on the other side of the wagon before a low grunted curse followed. A louder thud followed as the wagon passed by to show a roughly dressed black haired man flat on his back, out cold as Jared stood there, glaring at the man. "Gave him a Last Ride, eh?" Adam said idly. Jared snorted. "Pumped him," he said simply.

(If you haven't figured it out, I based the character on 'Christian' from the WWE, and when he says "pumped him", it refers to a particular slam.)
