Beyond the Niflhel mountain ranges is a deadly quiet crater, the size of a city, with caverns miles and miles underground. A towering castle of ice and stone looms from the far side. This is Jontunheimr, the winter city. It is mostly deserted, used as a last resort hiding place for the people of Kougi. When not in use as a keep, it is the current king's winter palace. Homes are carved into the rock, drawing surprisingly natural warmth from walls of the mountain.
