-------- ⊰ ✿ ⊱ -------- ❝ Demon Slayer ❞ Take the first step; your mind will do the Rest ! whyareyouhighlightingthisthe Basic Details . . . ↯ ❖ Name // Blackwell, Anya May ❖ Nicknames // Just Anya is fine. ❖ Gender // Female ❖ Nationality // American/European ❖ Age // Twenty Two ❖ Personality// In many ways Anya is very similar to her older brother Ivan, and yet at the same time she’s very different; driven and focused, Anya is an entirely self sufficient and individualistic person, and lord have mercy on you should you ever try to change her course of direction once she’s set herself out to do something. A realist by nature thanks to the upbringing Ivan has given her, Anya does not actively believe in anything until she has seen it, so day dreamers aren’t exactly the kind of people she enjoys spending time with, especially when there’s work to do so one can earn their pay and rewards. Intelligent and well spoken though she, like everyone else, makes the occasional mistake, Anya knows better then to judge a person based on how they appear, something that earns her just as many friends as it pushes them away; practical, Anya likes to call herself. While she’s still a lady at heart, Anya would rather hear the truth then a sugar coated fancy lie, and if you can’t be honest with her then don’t expect the same courtesy and respect from her either.
However, Anya possesses a few qualities her brother does not; for one, though she is quick to fire up her temper Anya is quick to forgive unless the grievance is severe. And unlike Ivan, who follows laws, rules and duties to the utmost, Anya isn’t afraid to step out of line every once and a while, to put herself in some danger (just as long as she can work her way back out eventually); this had lead her to rebel against society in general on more then one ocassion, and it's highly unlikely that she'll ever end up being repentant in the event that she does do something she shouldn't. However, her spitfire personality makes life far more entertaining for many of the people she chooses to spend her time with, and she does know when to step back and re-assess her situation….most of the time, anyway.
-------- ⊰ ✿ ⊱ -------- whyareyouhighlightingthisthe Little Details . . . ↯ ❖ Eye Color // A curious shade of coral that can appear as either pink or red depending on the light. ❖ Hair Color // White Blonde. ❖ Height // Five feet, Seven inches. ❖ Weight // One hundred and fifteen pounds. ❖ Markings // Anya is always getting various scars, cuts and brusies; however, with her search for her brother now concluded she now sports a fairly shallow but very long scar starting from the curve of her shoulder down to her hipbone. She doesn't have any tattoos. -------- ⊰ ✿ ⊱ -------- whyareyouhighlightingthisthe Finer Details . . . ↯ ❖ Biography // Anya doesn't particularly enjoy talking about her past, and with good reason; raised in a military family, always having to move from place to place, Anya's mother passed away when she was tweleve of pnuemonia and her army father died in battle due to bullet wound complicatons just a few weeks after her fourteenth birthday. After that it was only her and her older brother, Ivan; despite also being involved in the military, Ivan did a relatively good job of taking care of Anya, teaching her to fight fir herself, sculpting her into a very independant and self sucficcient persona. Things were difficult, but they were good enough to keep Anya from complaining. At least, they were until not too much later; to this day Anya still recalls the exact minute and every last detail, how the dispatch squad said they'd lost Ivan on the front lines, that his body hadn't been recovered and there was simply nothing to be done about it. After that, Anya spiralled down farther then she'd ever thought possible; her brother being the last line to her family, after realizing that she no longer had anybody Anya became, at a very young age, more violent then even the most terrible of people often are. Typical days afterwards consisted of injuries to both herself and others; facts were that at the point in her life Anya seriously wanted nothing more then to die, and there were many times she came close to accomplishing that goal. But at some point inbetween the emergency room visits and the near comatic experiences, a very brief pinprick of understanding came to Anya, in the form of a certain girl named Lucille, and in the years to follow Anya made serious efforts to change herself. Granted they didn't always work, but when Lucille, who Anya eventually came to rather respect and even consider a friend, passed away she made it a mission to really try, to go out and figure herself out.
It wasn't easy by any stretch of the word, and there were many times when Anya considered turning back, back to Kaji who over the course of Lucille's departure she had grown very close to despite a rough start, but in her perservearance and after much soul searching she did eventually find Ivan, held captive by demons, a broken shell of his formor self. It was at that point that she was told the story of the Roses, and the role Kaji would eventually end up having to play; having learned once to listen and understand for the better, Anya has only just recently arrived back in town...hopefully she'll be able to stay this time, and make up for lost time. There's a lot to catch up on, after all. ❖ Fears // Anya's fear of Isolophobia (being alone or abandoned) intertwines directly with her fear of losing the people most important in her life, particularly Ivan who she was without for a good portion of her childhood. Posesses a very slight dislike of crowds. ❖ Crush // That's really none of your business.
