Flame stared into the spring. Well's End, the end of Clan Westfen's territory. To the east, far to the east, lay the ocean. Longclaw had been there once. Longclaw rarely told stories, but when he did, they were often of faraway lands. The Clan Head had only told the story of the ocean once, but it had stuck with Flame. It was hard though, to imagine so much water. He knew for sure to the west lay more water. Was there land beyond the Ghost Pools? Beyond the swirling mist? He was not sure, but maybe one day, he'd find out.
Something shifted in the forest and the bucked raised his head. He was not suprised to see his sister. Flame had woken early that morning. He loved his siblings, but sometimes all he desired was some peace and quiet. |

Shameless wasn't really one for deep thinking. It wasn't that she was incapable, but simply that she found it tiresome to slow down. Being pensive was better left to kin who's age hindered their ability to act. Or well, better left to people like her brother.
Two of Westfen's best hunters, if she did say so herself, and yet so different. Now if you asked Shameless about gossip; there was a specialty right there. She surely could waste the hours thinking and talking about those petty, paltry sort of things. Not really one to spread things around: she merely liked knowing. Information was a delicate, valuable thing after all. She wasn't one to share without due payment—ah, but, anyway.
She'd seen Flame wandering around and decided to follow. That was the gist of it really. She hadn't really expected him to come all the way out here—was he patrolling? Looking for something? After watching him gaze into Well's End for what seemed like a eternity, she finally came to the conclusion that he was just doing something boring and thought provoking. She'd had just about enough of that, and she surely wasn't going to just turn around without saying something.
"Brother." her tone was chipper, though short and to the point. She smiled as she sauntered over to where he stood. "A little out of the way, don't you think?"
Minsuil almost like... 4 years??? later, Shameless finally arrives to pester her brother |

It was not often that he wondered about his mother - she was kind, and beautiful, and a vision sent from the MotherFather themselves (if his father was to be believed, which he wasn't). She was his mother, but not a member of Westfen. And kimeti mothers did not raise their young. That he'd grown up with a family was only because of his father and their clanmates.
But whenever he saw his sister, the thought would cross Flame's mind: Is mother like this?
For Shameless was nothing like him, and nothing like their father. She was nothing like sweet Beck who had their father's kindness, nor was she like No Bloodstains who had their father's perfectionism. Shameless had a chipper attitude. She had talent, but preferred not to hone it. She had pride, but was as shameless as her name implied.
"And a little early for you to be up, isn't it?"
He cast his younger sister - for all his clutemates were his younger siblings in his mind - a sardonic gaze.
Melancholies ahahah wow, it really has been four years... if you're okay I'm gonna backdate this to when they are young-adults!

Oh that tone, that gaze. Could it be that she was getting under his skin? Just a hair? She grinned. Probably not, but you never really knew.
Despite it, most of her behavior was playful rather than malevolent, and it showed in her lax body language and languid movements. Shameless was on a near permanent cloud nine, brought back down to earth only through her own frustrations. Sometimes others could be faulted, but those instances were far and few between; after all, who would get upset knowing most kin weren't anywhere near as amazing as this?
"Is it really so unusual for a hunter to be out and about at this hour?" through the cheeky smile was an all too knowing that yes, it was early for someone like her anyway, but teasing was practically in her job description. "Early goat catches the crane or something like that, right?"
"Anyway, isn't this just lovely? Brother and sister, two accomplished clan members gathered around Well's End in the wee hours of the day." she broke from her place at Flame's side to prance somewhat dramatically. "How often do we get a chance like this anyway?" which was true, since their clan duties kept them both fairly busy. At least, if they kept Shameless busy then they surely kept he brother even busier.
"I propose we take advantage of this momentous occasion, don't you?"
