Normal Guy

Killian is a normal and pretty much popular guy, friendly with everyone. He also has a lazy side, often sleeping in some classes, and he eats his food very quickly. He is kind, funny, cheeky and the type to crack jokes about his teachers. He also teases the new girl a lot. When she first started school Maribell encouraged her to make friends with Killian firstly, since he gets along with everyone and is easy to make friends with. Despite his popularity, he has never before had a girlfriend. He's just a normal teenage guy, though. He has his perverted moments, but it's actually just him admiring a cute girl. He has average grades, which shows that he actually does pay attention in class, even when he's sleeping. Despite being such a nice guy, Killian normally doesn't let many people in so quickly and keeps the circle of people he is truly friends with close. Everyone sees him as a friend, but he considers most of them acquaintances, sometimes even calling them "classmate who I can care less about" and most think it's a joke.

Killian loved his parents. They were awesome! He also had two amazing siblings that he cared for deeply. His life was very joyful when he was younger. Sure, his parents weren't the richest and they didn't have the chance to go anywhere they wanted or get the coolest toys, but he was satisfied with what he had. Back then, he had many close friends and trusted them all completely.

It all changed when he was six. It was an ordinary day. Actually, it was the nicest day they had in a while. Killian was having a blast with his best friend. Then, it happened. News struck from New York on a terrorist attack on the Twin Towers. His dad worked there, and he brought his siblings to work that day. Killian went home to see his mother sobbing on the floor. She had told him that his father and siblings were dead. Killian was struck by surprise. He had only seen his dad and siblings a few hours ago. How could they be gone? But it had happened.

He went back to school, and his best friend was pestering him about leaving early the other day. Mad, Killian had punched his friend in the face and walked away. He moved a few days later to a different state into his uncle's house. He was glad to get a new start in life. Her had made many acquaintances since, but he never trusted them. That was, until middle school started. He had met his group of new friends, and, even though they were weirder than him in many ways, he thought they were cool. They're the only people he trust now. Not even his mother or uncle he trusts as much as them.

He likes his life in high school now, but then, he had found something out. His old best friend was enrolled in the same school. They had met again, and they were cold to each other. He didn't want to apologize and neither did his old friend. He went off to become the School Bully.

Killian knows how to play guitar, since he wanted to be in a band when he was younger. He cooks his own foods and is actually very hard working.

Smiley Girl

тнєrє's oɴʟy oɴє oʄ ϻє ʄoʀ α ʀєαsoɴ
Around her friends, Maribell normally seems to be either happy, laughing, clueless, or random. She doesn't find herself as funny, but she does know she's very sarcastic. She's rather clueless, though, since she seems to not be very street smart on modern language. She loves to laugh, and does so at even the dumbest of jokes. She is very calm at times, but she can also be brave. Those who know her better can see she is actually a very serious person, which can be shown when she is faced with a problem, in class, or while studying. She is seen as a bit of a flirt sometimes with certain guys, but she just really enjoys talking to people and smiling. However, when around the guy she likes, when he compliments hr, she tends to blush.

ɪт's α ʟoɴɢ sтorʏ
Miss Smiley didn't always smile. She used to be very serious, cold, and unwelcoming. Of course, it was a long time ago. When she was younger, her parents would physically fight. She, being the eldest of three other siblings, took it upon herself to be the one to protect them from whatever came. She even tried to stop her parents from fighting sometimes, but that got her hit. The violence wasn't good on her, since she was a frail child, and she constantly had to go to the hospital. She tried acting tough and normally tried to fight off her weakness, but it made things worse most of the time.

When she was four, her parents divorced. Her mother had gotten custody, as Maribell had feared. Her mother was manipulative, seductive, and very wicked. Maribell had learned from her how to act, and she was a younger version of her mother for a while. When she was nine, she had become affiliated with drugs, gangs and alcohol. By the time she was eleven, she became a member of a mafia. She didn't care, though, since she believed that was who she was supposed to be. She did whatever she wanted, and her mother couldn't care less. She ruled her own world.

But things went crashing down in the end. Maribell had overdosed on a drug one day and was rushed to the hospital. She was thirteen and didn't know how strong inhalants were. It took three weeks, but she was finally good. The drug was out of her system, as well as the alcohol and most of the other drugs. She went back, though, and hung out with her friends that pressured her into things.

It was too late for her to notice that she should have turned away from that lifestyle. Another gang had a rivalry with hers, and she got in the middle of it. Somehow, they knew where she lived and a drive by occurred. She was shot twice and her youngest sister was shot as well. She woke up in the hospital to find out her sister was dead, and it was her fault. She grew depressed and anti-social. Her mother, irritated by her daughter, had sent her to live with her dad. He accepted her with open arms so long as she promised to stay away from that stuff. She agreed and completely threw that life away, as well as the people she once called her friends.

She tried to become a good person when high school came around. She smiled more and became friendly. She even joined the girls' tennis team. But she didn't have any real friends. People liked her, of course, but she never fit anywhere. Then, she met someone she thought she'd never see again. It was an old member of the mafia she knew. They weren't really close before, but it seemed like an odd coincidence that they had once again crossed paths. He was there the day her house was shot at and saw everything happen, so she didn't really know how to talk to him.

She met his friends, who called themselves the "Excess of Society", which she found as funny since they were too nice to be outsiders. She had changed since then. She became the girl everyone knows her as. She was the last person to join their group, but she feels like they're her family. Her old friends were nothing compared to them, and she felt like she finally belonged somewhere.

Maribell knows how to hot wire a car, but she doesn't do it anymore. She's also a good tennis player and can sing. She writes stories and poetry, but it's more personal than something that can be published.
