Daniel "Danny" Colchester "Well, 'spose I could use the company, and it might let me afford some more sleep. I have a little stash of food from what I could scavenge, and I know where we can get more. You'd be surprised that not many people know how to check the harvesters we got." He started to move back down the tunnels, trying to juggle all the weapons he pulled from the bodies. Waiting for her to leapfrog ahead of him he spoke under his breath, "So looks like we got ourselves a partnership there Izzy."

 Isolde Callaway "Very good." She said and reached out to squeeze his shoulder since she couldn't shake his hand. "The building I live in has great camo the top levels were raided and burned but sublevels are almost pristine. Plenty of storage too. She said as she began to back track to the door where they had first entered the tunnel system. Form there they could go to his place , then she would be where she really wanted safe and sound in her lab.

Daniel "Danny" Colchester Danny followed along behind her, being especially careful no to drop anything. "Well if the burned out levels look like they've been raided, then you shouldn't have any visitors. Maybe 'cept squatters. Natural camoflague I guess. I'm glad to hear that there's at least one kind soul out there." He let himself smile again for a few moments, and hope they'd have no trouble on the way out.

Isolde Callaway "Besides unless they know the right path they will end up horribly maimed at the very least." She said proudly thinking of her traps. She had a quickened their pace and they were now back at the door they had entered. Typing in the code again she opened the door slightly to look around. Not seeing anything she darted out and behind the door. "Ok let's go we would be easy targets here." Isolde looked up at the buildings and the distance they had to close to the wall. She wished the monorail still worked at least then getting tot he edge of the farms would be quicker.

Daniel "Danny" Colchester"Maimed huh? You good with a blade and sleep with one eye open too huh?" Danny chuckled at his little joke, not realizing that Isolde did not speak in jest. He continued along following her with an almost 'lost puppy dog' look of confusion on his face. "Hey, aren't we supposed to go back over the wall? That's how we got in, I reckon that's how we'd get out."

Isolde Callaway "Yes we do but not with the load we have now. We are going to go north for a bit then gook out towards the farm land. There is an old access hatch for the monorail a little ahead. We can go through and then be in the farmland without the climbing. It will take a little more time but in the long run it will be easier." Isolde explained showing him the map on her data pad. "All I need to know now is which farm you were living in and the map will chart the best route." Isolde put her finger on the map and slide it over to the farm area. "Just zoom in here. then double click on the area. The map will then make the route." She did not know if it he knew how to use it or not so she explained it to be sure.

Daniel "Danny" ColchesterDanny blink a few times at the map system. Sure he knew how to use it, but sometimes the best routes were not the 'best routes.' With his hands full he just looked up at Isolde and said "Tell ya what, just get us out of this city and I'll show you the safe route. I wandered the whole sector long enough to know where the good spots to move are. And that won't show up on no map."

Isolde Callaway "As you wish." She said as she put the data pad away. But its hardly efficient she thought to herself. "The rail track is easy to follow and the door is cracked through. That is where we will sneak out. Let's go I want to be home long before dark." She said as she stood and lead the way to the old rail doors it was just a quarter of a mile. They were making good time but she had no idea how far it was to Danny;s place, and then from there to her lab.

Daniel "Danny" ColchesterDanny took off at a moderate pace, rolling his feet carefully to make it as quiet as possible. When they made it to the cracked door Isolde had mentioned, she was the first one out and he was soon to follow. Standing back outside Danny let in a deep breath. Still a bit too close to the city to get some good fresh air, but it was close enough for right now. "Alright, just stick close an' follow my lead. I duck my head, you duck yours. And hey, the dark can be your friend, somethin' I learned trekking across the sector. Saved my hide more than once." (Continued in Agricultural Zone thread)

It had been two weeks since that shuttle was shot down by the orbital guns, infected were as dangerous as ever and the survivors still were huddled in small groups. But, something had changed the SRC scientist in charge f weapons labs had revolted and was gathering all the survivors he cold. 'Strength in numbers' as they say. He ha used what was left of the colony's old PA system to ask everyone to come to the secondary spaceport. "If we all work together it will be simpler and we will stand a better chance of survival." If you hear this message try to get to the spaceport, if you are willing to work you will find safety if you want trouble you will find there are more dangerous things than the planet's indigenous life or the infected.
