StoryThere was once an older man, a clockmaker, who had no wife but a daughter that was of age to be married off. He knew that he was reaching the end of his days, though he kept this hidden from his loyal and caring daughter, and and went to the coffin-maker, a young man that had just taken his mentor's place as the village cooper.
The old clockmaker promised that if the young cooper would make his coffin, that he would give him the two most precious things in his life to the young man: his daughter and the Death Watch. The
Death Watch was a revered artifact that would allow a man to tell the time in which he or another man would die. The cooper, who would be able to use the Death Watch to his advantage as well as maybe harness its magics to his advantage, agreed to the deal quickly.
The clockmaker made him yet one more deal that he would have to keep-- that the cooper would have to love his daughter, who would be in possession of the Death Watch. The cooper, whom had watched many people fall in love, believed that it would be an easy task. Alas, when the clockmaker passed away and the daughter was left to him, he found himself in a predicament; he did not know how to truly love. Not only that, but there are many people in search of the Death Watch, and they would do anything to retrieve it.
The boy that builds coffins must also learn how to build love and trust with the clockmaker's daughter.
