Player: Toxic Rorita Dreams

Name: Chezzabell Rayne
- The Mask -
User Image

- The True Face -
This one appears not to different from her human form. Her eyes are a translucent white due to her blindness and her back is riddled with scars. She also has a ring of burn marks and scars around her neck.

-Time in Arcadia -
During Chezza's time in Arcadia she was the pet to Dante. Her Fae Keeper was high in status, intelligent, and powerful. But even with all of that he still had trouble sleeping at night. Dante kept Chezza in a cage that hung beside his bed, similar to that of a bird cage, and made her wear a tight collar that would send shocks through her body if she spoke. The shocks were unbearably painful, and once they started it a while for her to stop screaming so that they would stop. Before he would lay in his bed he would remove the collar from her neck and replace it with his own death grip to keep her from moving, with his other hand he would play with a strand of her hair and whisper gently in her ear, "My sweet Bell tonight are you going to sing for me or will your screams lull me to sleep?" If she choose to be defiant he would put the collar back on, drag her from the cage, and chain her to the bed post before whipping her. She would feel the shock from the collar and the sting of the whip until his arms grew tired. He would then put back in the cage and go to sleep. All Chezza knew in that place was pain, darkness, humiliation, and fear. She would no sooner die then go back.

- Powers -
Chezza's voice can serve to bring comfort or pain. A simple song from her majestic voice can lull anyone into a deep sleep or her shriek can be used to crack even diamond when used to its full potential.

-Basic Personality -
Now that Chezza has managed to escape her living hell and now that she has her sight back she choose to live in the moment, finding the beauty in everything, and just enjoying the company of those she has around her. She is still reserved and keeps most of her feelings bottled up she never really opens up to anyone and puts on masks so that others think she is fine. She prefers that people call her Chezza, and absolutely hate it when people call her Bell because it reminds her of her master. She finds serenity in all forms of music and art and when she is not in the company of others she is usually painting or practicing an instrument. Anything that reminds her of her captivity, such as the crack of a whip, makes her jumpy. As often as she can she will blind fold herself and train her body to maneuver in the darkness. Her deepest fear is that some how she will be forced back to Arcadia, but if that does happen and she is once again blind, she will be prepared.

-History - What sort of person was your character before entering Arcadia?
Chezza was an active, happy, and had the type of personality that could make anyone warm down to their toes. Her curiosity did get her into trouble on occasion but she always apologized and made up for what she had done. She has very few memories of her parents, because they spent a majority of their time traveling for work. She probably saw them for a week or two out of the year. Because of this she had to stay in an all girls boarding school

Name: Amelia Swan
- The Mask –

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Gender: Female
Age: 18

- The True Face – Her appearance isn’t all that different than her mask, except her left arm is black but otherwise appears and functions like normal. She also has a long jagged scar running from the back of her right shoulder running diagonally across her back to her the back of her left hip.

- Time in Arcadia – She was taken by a old and powerful Fae Aria to be her pet and companion, she was expected to either always by her mistress’s side or waiting for her wherever she was told to stay. Aria makes her sleep in a small bed made up of straw and cloth near her own bed when she wasn’t expected to sleep with her mistress. Aria had forbidden her from ever speaking unless specifically told she could speak this was one of the rules she broke the most often at first. At first Amelia fought and struggled against her role leading her to often be punished, she was left out in a forest that seemed to be part of Aria’s home to starve and survive on her own for periods of time, after which she would then be brought back and whipped or otherwise physically harmed. Usually after a punishment Aria would be extremely sweet and kind to her giving her affection and treats. She never really noticed but at some point her spirit began to break and she stopped fighting Aria’s demands, doing whatever was asked of her whether that was to help Aria with a task, to listen as Aria talked(Almost never respond), or to warm the Fae’s bed. Her last bid at defiance had led to her left arm being cut off and the large gash stretching across her back, when Aria lost herself to her anger but after calming the Fae had quickly healed her wounds and replaced the missing arm with an arm that Amelia believes came from another creature. Her time with her mistress after that was a blur to her as she had completely given up on any notion of freedom and had even become even content in her role as a pet to Aria.

Powers – She is able to bond to people with personalities that are more dominant than hers and have a form of empathy for them and was aware of what they needed. Her animal-grade treatment also yielded her heightened senses and reflexes, including smell and hearing and above average speed.

Basic Personality – After escaping from her gilded cage and her mistress she is both relieved and a bit lost, she has spent so long leaving every important decision to her mistress that she isn’t so sure what she wants anymore, her drive to learn has waned in the time she was gone. She has dedicated herself to finding something to live for, to strive for, but when she came back she also found that her girlfriend had moved on which hurt her, as it was the thought of getting back to her that had allowed her to get to her freedom. She still continues to be calm but she isn’t as collected anymore often times forgetting things or leaving areas a mess, she also now tends to get lost in thought forgetting that she was even talking to someone as she reminisces about her time with her mistress both fondly and with a little fear of going back to her mistress. She even more rarely lets anyway close to her now than before she was lost, she even barely spend time with her parents much less opens up to them anymore. Like she used to once she has found something she has a tendency to go full throttle putting her all in it, and she now in fear of being captured again has started practicing self defense throwing her all into learning fencing. She now both hates and likes the idea of someone keeping her and taking care of her, making all her decisions for her, and she hates herself for wanting someone to do that for her. she has reacted horribly when her parents attempted to take her freedom from her after she came back, even though they were only trying to protect her and keep her from disappearing again.

- History – She was a calm collected girl who was driven and focused on her studies making few friends. She always had a bit of a competitive streak that would lead her to get into trouble as she would go to far and sometimes injure whomever she is competing against. She did get close to a girl at her school who she then went out with a few times before she was dragged into Arcadia

Name:
Sera Akisame

Description - The Mask -

User Image

Sera is a 19 year old female from Maryland who moved to New York in hopes of a new life and to pursue a career in Psychology. Her skin, contrary to the image above, has a slight tan hue to it. Her hair is thick, black, and curly, and reaches down about two inches below her shoulders. She generally likes to dress up simply, usually in a pair of dark jeans, a plain shirt and a black, zip-up hoodie over it.

Description - The True Face -
Sera's Arcadian appearance is not too different. Her skin is very pale, almost white, and she has dark circles around her eyes as though she hasn't been exposed to very much light, nor has she slept well in a long time. Her shadows seem to move on their own to the Arcadian eye, not too much away from their actual position though. Transparent shadows can also be seen being emitted from Sera's body at times, depending on her mood.

Time in Arcadia -
Sera doesn't really remember how she was taken into Arcadia; It had happened so suddenly. Her memory jumped from leaving the coffee shop after drinking a nice mocha, to her being sat in front of the Fae that had captured her. The Fae's name was Misa, a simple, nice name. Unforgettable though, just like the Fae herself. Misa was a very strong Fae, as well as stuck up. She had wanted a mortal servant to complete her tasks, and Sera had been the perfect target. Misa would lock Sera in an enclosed, pitch dark room until she was needed. However, just for fun, the arrogant Fae would leave her in there for days. This would leave Sera scared, and often made her hallucinate due to the lack of light and sound in the room. These hallucinations often made Sera feel paranoid. When she was needed, the Fae would open the door without warning, blinding Sera.

Powers -

Sera returned to the mortal world with strange abilities. In a frantic effort to hide, she found she could fall into shadows, and transport herself from one to anoth within her sight. Once futher matured to conjure a limited amount of shadows, allowing her to manipulate them in any way she chooses. Sera's sense of sight had weakened, but her sense of hearing was strengthened, and she had also developed a sixth sense from her paranoia. However, Sera had also become sensitive to light.

Basic Personality -
Sera is a simple person. She's smart, kind, generous, and artistic, but also very shy and quiet. She is more of the listening type than the speaking type when in a conversation with someone. She is the kind of person that likes to be there for her friends, through good and bad, and will never leave their side. However, Sera has a low self esteem, is generally paranoid, anxious, and often gets stressed out over simple problems.

History -
A young girl born and raised in Maryland, Sera moved to New York after graduating from Eleanor Roosevelt High School at the age of 16. In New York, she began to study Psychology, hoping to pursue a career in the future as a Psychotherapist. This motivation came from the fact that she lacked someone to talk to as she grew up, and often held secrets from her parents about the things happening in her life. She wanted to be the person to go to for help for people who have gone through similar issues in their lives. While she was studying, Sera was also a part of a local orchestra in the city, where she played lead Clarinet, and would perform sometimes in small cafes or, if they got lucky, for broadways.

Tiberius
User Image

-History -
Tiberius' mother was a rape victim who desperately tried to care for her son while simultaneously dealing with terrible side-effects of PTSD and post-partem

depression. Though it was not out of hatred, she often neglected the boy for days at a time. Tiberius' constant screaming caught the ear of the neighbors who

promptly contacted Child Services. Their investigative visit was on one of his mother's worse days. They managed to grab custody of the boy without much fuss,

moving him from foster family to foster family for his entired childhood.

Many families mistreated him, awful posers seeking only to milk the system. Sometimes their selfishness came in the form of physical and verbal abuse, sometimes in

the form of child labor, and most often some fusion of these. Consequently he developed borderline personality disorder at an early age, meaning his emotions moved

quickly between hate and desperate searching for goodness in others while simultaneously demonizing himself, certain there must be something wrong with him- certain

there must be some reason he was unwanted (he was never told why he was taken from his mother). Uncontrollable anger problems stacked on top of these issues; he became

a troublemaker in school, fighting with anyone who wronged or made fun of him. Around age 12 he was sent to a juvenile facility for a year, which did little to help

his attitude or his worldview.

He would often lay awake and wonder what it would be like to have a real family, or at least someone who cared for him. He saw other families having fun with their

kids and dreamed he had his own family, or a girlfriend or boyfriend actually concerned about the state of his heart and mind. The orphan longed to have someone to

care for, someone to protect- someone to care for him and protect him too. Eventually he grew callused and spiteful, and when family after family and school after

school had ostracized him, he abandoned hopes of assimilating with 'normal' people. Sick of his virulent moods and lonesome life, he ran away. While searching for

shelter, he stumbled upon Arcadia. He does not quite remember when, but he believes he was 14 or 15.

- Time in Arcadia -
Little he knew, Tiberius was being watched by a Fae which fancied itself some fusion of scientist and philosopher, intent on 'studying' the human soul and its nature.

Calling itself "Aristotle," the demigod wove himself into Tiberius' mind, weakening him and evoking the runaways emotions by tugging and warping certain memories. He

went on this way for months, provoking Tiberius' untamed anger. In this way he gradually stifled the good-natured Tiberius, gradually stealing the boy's free will as

he pushed him further into his uncontrollable and painful darkness.

Then came the dreams. Dreams of leading other people to that godforsaken place. Tricking them, understanding their weaknesses and drawing them out. Tiberius would

wake in sweats, finding himself chained in the lair, arms bound behind him, his neck clasped in a metal collar. Drenched in sweat... He couldn't possibly have been

anywhere, could he? He saw his master less and less, though the monster frequented his dreams, and his mind was always filled with Aristotle's cruel laughter: the

horrible anthem of Arcadia. He still hears it now, quietly, volume building with his rage. He prays he is simply crazy, and his master no longer lurks there.

He was never certain of where he was, whether he was awake or dreaming. Were his thoughts his? Whose memories were those? No rest in sleep, if he was even sleeping.

No light shed in his waking. One day, in a brief moment of clarity, he happened upon his master's "mind," the brief moment he was there was enough to wreck his sense

of reality, but he managed to break the bond between them that had been growing for four long years (though Tiberius had no idea of how long he was there, rarely

conscious enough to even know what was going on). His master lost track of him, just long enough for Tiberius to escape. The boy managed to crawl through the hedge,

back to where he came from. His sense of self, his memories, and his emotions were in shambles, but he was free. Save from that awful laugh.

-Basic Personality -
Tiberius keeps his head down, afraid to connect with anyone tanks his own destructive nature and deep-rooted fear of rejection. He is prone to strange blackouts

caused by his anger, and little he knows he actually suffers from a catastrophic changeling mutation of DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder). During these blackouts

he becomes someone else entirely, a much darker, sociopathic version of himself that protects the quiet boy while also committing heinous acts for their own sake. His

memories of the time before Arcadia are dark and twisted, and he remembers his families and classmates as much more relentless than perhaps they were. All the same,

he is afraid. He missed his teenage years, and thus a large lesson in how to be a socialized human being. He is not used to his body, nor the way he is treated now

that he is physically an adult. Sexuality is also a traumatic mystery for him, though he still has echoes of longing for love, a hangover of his childhood trauma.

Every now and again, he uses his powers to intervene on behalf of the innocent, but never sticks around long enough for any thanks or interaction. He uses his powers

of manipulation to survive, and is struck with guilt at his own selfishness. When he meets the other changelings, he is faced with an awful choice.

- The True Face -
Tiberius' true appearance is an anomaly for typical changelings. He looks almost identical to his mask, save for two main differences. His right eye is blood red, in

contrast to his mask's icy blue. He also has severe scarring around his neck, where a large metal collar kept him bound to his dungeon. This changes completely,

however, whenever he loses control of his rage. When his other personality emerges, the mask shatters. Even non-Arcadian eyes can see him. His hair turns ghost

white and both of his eyes take on the blood red madness of his motley one. His face, usually soft and unassuming, wears an merciless grin, and his laugh echoes the

voice of his keeper, Aristotle, an echo of his hell. When his mask shatters, reality literally bends around him, fooling the memories of normal humans so they forget

what they have seen. Changelings, however, recall whatever it is they have seen.

- Powers -
Tiberius is gifted with the power of tactile telepathy. That is, anytime he touches a normal human, he is able to read his/ her thoughts, pulling on some to evoke

certain feelings from the victim. In this way he manipulates people to acquire money to survive, either by asking for it in this subtle coercion similar to hypnosis,

or by simply respressing the memory of his ever being there. It is a little different with changelings who have shared his experience in Arcadia; he can hear them

faintly without touching. At a distance he perceives images of their memories of that place. While simply Tiberius, his powers culminate in being able to hide

memories from their owners (he must be touching them to accomplish this), edit them, or simply bring them to the forefront of the victim's mind to manipulate them as

he pleases (he learned this from his master, recalling the way it felt when his mind was prodded by Aristotle). When he becomes his other personality, reality around

him warps, and the white-haired devil draws forth nightmares, making terrible memories real for all around him, and shielding himself from gaze and memory in the

meanwhile by presenting the darkest fears of his audience. The "madman" can hear the thoughts of everyone in view of him, and affect them in this way. Since he is

generally not concerned with those around him, he rarely prevents this from happening, though he is able to protect one or two people at a time, depending on how much

he cares to split his attention. This is a rare occurrence, though, as the "madman" seems sociopathic and uninterested in protecting anyone but himself.

Description - The Mask - User Image

Description - The True Face - Katsu's body is actually not the mangled form it should have been. However, there remains the clues of his struggle. His wrists are torn away and scarred from the shackles that he had placed on his body. More so, his body is pale and lifeless from the constant abuse he experienced in Arcadia. Curiously enough, he does have scars. On his face, there are five clean scars that run from the top of his right brow, running diagonally over his eye and slightly past his lips. These marks were left by his keeper, before his gift was bestowed upon him. his eyes also have changed, his iris's glow a deep purple from the influence that his Keeper would continuously drive upon him. And around it, blood red cracks the normal white around his eye...as a result from the lack of sleep and reflects the volumes of pain he had endured for unknown amounts of time. His hair is longer and unkempt, and fades from its normal silvery color, to a deep grey riddled with streaks of jet black. The Shackles he brought back are visible, heavy dull and worn metal, with chains that dangle a short distance from them. Surprisingly, they are not rusted.

Time in Arcadia - His keeper was one named Ophidia, she was rather calm and collected, and approached him with gentle open arms. Unable to do anything but look on, and take note of the shackles that kept him chained to the walls. Gently and with the utmost care, she caressed his face. She was fully aware that her nails were like razors and as she lightly dragged them across, they drew blood. Despite the horror that washed over his face, Ophidia was rather excited at the sight.

"...Its a shame human's are so fragile"

This Fae would not have such an interesting plaything die so quickly, using her powers, she instilled a very special gift to him. Unable to control herself any longer, she drew a small dagger, and drove it under his ribs, twisting it and pulling it to the side. Causing as much damage as possible, she began to ravage him, his cries of pain only driving her excitement and pushing her sadistic fantasies further. When she was finally satisfied and exhausted, Katsu remained silent, dangling from the shackles that held his arms. Ophidia held him for a moment and retired to rest. The next day she awoke to reveal that her gift to him worked. Katsu was dangling from the chains, sound asleep.

Fully recovered.

Elated at her success...this would also prove to be a chance to share her new toy with others...always starting with the same question...

"....What would you do with someone that could not die?"

Ophidia watched curiously as other Fae would use Katsu, some would demonstrate their new weapons on him, while others would exhibit him as pure entertainment, Trying to kill him in the most creative ways. Some, like Ophidia, would surrender any restraints of ethics to act out their most sadistic impulses and fantasies. This whole time, Katsu would feel every blade and every ounce of pain like it was the first time. He prayed that he would develop a tolerance for the pain...but that would never happen. Ophidia however was fully aware that he in fact, could die. Her wishes were that of a physical nature...however, she made sure that such situations happened. As time passed, even if his body would recover, his mind was constant. He could not fathom why such people would act this way, nor did he want to. He could not understand why someone could commit these actions. As close as the monstrosities had gotten to him, there was no way to fight back, no way to stop the inevitable. At first this would leave him with hopelessness. In time, his blood would begin to boil in frustration. He wanted to shout, thrash about and mutilate them just as they had done unto him. But this would only fuel their emotions, exciting some, and irritating others...ultimately resulting with Katsu's mangled remains to be carted back to his keeper. He would only live to see death, and die to reawaken in the same few moments before he would once again be forced to undergo the same end. In time, despite his contempt for the Fae, he began to come to terms with his Keeper, born from Ophidia's advances...Being ultimately a form of companionship and entertainment. She had seen to it that he was treated "lovingly" despite her cruel actions of pure impulse. Ophidia was as close as a acquaintance as he would ever get. After all..everything that had happened was not out of hatred. His Keeper did not know him personally...it was all out of another drive that he still couldn't decipher.

One night, unscathed by a previous mutilation. He awoke with his chains broken...small traces could be seen on the broken ends of the chains...but he did not even bother wasting time figuring it out or trying to remove the shackles. Quickly he left the manor and simply kept moving, desperately trying to escape this nightmare. On the brink of collapsing he kept forcing himself forward...until he finally stumbled out of Arcadia. Looking at his wrists, he noticed the shackles were gone. Looking around he realized he was back where he once vanished from...what he did not realize yet, was the answer to his questions would be found not only in arcadia...but in his world as well.

Powers - A gift and a curse, Katsu is unable to die from mere trauma alone, mutilated beyond recognition, he can recover over a period of time...typically overnight, this includes regenerating lost limbs and blood. This power is completely passive and cannot be controlled in anyway. In short terms, deep wounds and injuries will heal quicker. This does not make him immortal, he can feel pain like anyone else and succumbs to pain and blood loss, as well as poison.

Basic Personality - Katsu had always taken joy from seeing someone happy. His very occupation would bring smiles to most people. He is very empathetic. Always trying to keep others from feeling pain. Feeling sadness when others were also overcome with sorrow. He is also selfless...willing to give the coat on his back to one that was cold. All of these tendencies changed somewhat when he returned from his hellish nightmare. He now hesitates when even so much as speaking to others, convinced it is a trap. He cannot stand having his bareskin exposed...let alone touched. He tends to have a lethargic nature around him, amidst all of this, he has a bloodthirsty hunger to unleash all of his pain he was forced to endure among those around him. He is civil and very restrained, so this will never happening his opinion. He comes off as very sleepy and calm, hiding any hits of violence and anger. In truth, his will to see those around him happy tends to conflict with this primal rage. In points of distress it can cause physical ailments, but most of the time a simple headache is all that results from such colliding goals.

History -Katsu's mother owned her own business, running a local bakery. With no father he was raised by a single mother. She was very charitable and usually was dragging the unwilling boy to volunteer work. Growing up, he would follow her example and carve his own way to reaching a similar profession of helping people...that did not involve picking up as much trash. Katsu was an easygoing veterinarian. Taking in cases that were anything from routine checkups, to authorities bringing in injured animals. He enjoyed his job and did not have much else going on in his life..sometimes to the point where it was too mundane.

Player: Imm0rtal Ryuu
Name: Elden

Description - The Mask:
User ImageThe picture is purely for reference to physical build. Elden's skin is a darker shade of white, and has no odd cross shapes on his face. His eyes are dark brown with a creamy white haze over them, which he usually hides under a dark pair of shades of some kind. Elden prefers, and usually wears, loose fitting T-shirts and thick denim work pants, generally with a fairly typical pair of tennis shoes unless he expects to be hiking or something similar, when he switch's to a pair of thick sturdy brown steel-toed hiking boots.

History - Elden was always a rather lonely person. He was quiet and kept to the rear of almost everything, causing him to only have a few friends among those who were similar to him in staying towards the back of gatherings. Elden and these few friends formed a tight knit little group extremely open to each other even as they carefully avoided attention from all others. Elden practiced a small amount of painting as an extracurricular activity for a long time, even if he never got beyond the ability of amateur. Elden had a normal family life, but had always felt more like his small group of friends were closer then his family.

Personality - First and foremost, Elden is blind and mute, generally communicating through writing or use of a speech generating device. Elden can only use these thanks to his extremely fine motor control and ability to sense where things he is touching are in relation to himself. Instead of relying on sight to navigate and do things, Elden has switched to using the three senses he has left, combining hearing and smell to locate and identify nearby objects, although he has to touch things to get fine detail.

Beyond his disability however, Elden is a rather friendly guy, when you can get him to actually stay put. Elden has lost most of his desire for company after the events in the "Other World", as he is sure nobody could understand him now, so he very rarely stays near others when not required. In Arcadia he had been completely alone, and he subconsciously does not fully believe that anyone else has ever gone through the hell that he has.

Now, without his sight, Elden cannot see others who have been through Arcadia, although he can still perceive their presence as different from others thanks to a slight haze around their edges, like they are perpetually wrapped in a light layer of fog and haze, each one sounding, smelling and feeling slightly different from any others, all far different from normal fog and haze. The scent of juniper tends to calm Elden and make him feel more comfortable, no matter how faint. Now, as a total opposite of before, Elden is more energetic and up front when he actually decides to interact with people.

Time in Arcadia - Elden faced an extremely rare encounter in his time in Arcadia. Elden's Keeper was a relatively young Fae named Larissa, one who had not been even the slightest bit interested in him until she drew him into Arcadia. Larissa had been given a rather extreme equivilant of a dare by a friend, to take a human, 'tame' them, and see just how much of the Fae power they could replicate and use. Partly a research project for some of the older Fae and partly amusement, Larissa had chosen Elden for his natural disabilities such as his nearsightedness and, as she perceived it as a disability, Elden's quiet demeanor.

Eldan tried repeatedly to escape, each time caught and brutally physically punished until he eventually stopped trying to escape. Then she fixed his eyesight as a 'gift' for his good behavior, and was told what he was expected to do. Eldan appeared to calm down and become a perfect little... whatever he was supposed to be, something between a pet and a research subject. However, even as he obeyed instructions and learned, Eldan had payed careful attention, listening and seeing more and more as time passed, carefully locking the information away deep in his mind with the very training he was starting to get from Larissa.

Then, some long period of time after he was taken, Eldan used his gathered information, carefully slipping tidbits to several Fae who didn't like things Larissa was doing, giving them reason to act. One night it came to a head, resulting in Larissa almost being killed by someone she had angered. Larissa proved to be more powerful however, and used her considerable mental ability to flay every fleck of information from her attackers mind before discarding them. The information pointed back to Eldan, and the rage followed. Eldan had been sleeping until the attack started and had been hiding in his tiny closet-room right next to Larissa's sleeping room. Larissa simply blew his door down and forced him out by slamming his mind.

He was forced down to the place where he had been punished long ago for escaping, and bound their again for a long amount of time, being tortured in every creative way Larissa could devise. For his slick speech and plotting against her, she tore his tongue out with a pair of pliers. She used her skills and abilities to force his body to live through everything she did and stay conscious, no matter how extreme. Some time during the torture, she had pulled a blade from the fireplace, resting the glowing metal on his cheek while she grinned, saying that he "Had seen too much, and told too much, so she would make sure he never would again."

Then she plunged the blade into one of his eyes, brutally carving first one then the other out of his skull. Even during the seemingly unending physical torture was the mental attack, her forcing her way past his mental barriers, tearing into his psyche and his memory, torturing and scarring him mentally just as much as physically. The amount of pain and torment so many other received after many long years in Arcadia was administered all at once in that relatively small span of time. When Larissa was satisfied finally, Eldan was thrown back into his little closet a torn wreck, bleeding from many cuts and mind ravaged, still not allowed to just curl up and die.

So, after many months, Eldan slowly forced himself into recovery. The small portion of his subconscious he had managed to guard from the ruthless assault had held enough of himself that he was able to, slowly, salvage his mind and body and recover. Though much of his mind and learning in Arcadia had been shattered, Eldan managed to learn to see a new way, through scent and sound rather then sight. He sharpened those senses and was forced to learn to communicate again, now through his mind, to respond to the demands of his keeper once more.

However, throughout his recovery, he felt that he was being helped from the shadows. Sometimes, when Larissa "forgot" to feed him for days on end, and Elden slept starving on the floor, there would be a tiny creak and the slight scent of juniper. Then there would be just a tiny amount of food. A small piece of cheese, a few berries. Almost nothing, but just enough to get him through the night. As he learned to see again in the small garden, that same faint scent floated by on the wind, and Elden's hand felt a long, straight and thin pole, just the right length for a blind man's cane and tough. The smell of juniper berries never fully faded from the walking stick, although it was so faint a normal person would never notice it.

Throughout Elden's recovery, small events like that dotted the unending darkness with spots of hope. One day, he was suddenly thrown into the wilderness by his keeper, for she was tired of his presence in her life. She left him with nothing but the clothes on his back and, oddly, the walking stick he had received from his mysterious benefactor. How long he was stuck there he didn't know, but suddenly he felt it, like a tiny breath of fresh, clear air, the sort never found in Arcadia. A tiny breeze, leading him. To a trap, to death, it didn't matter anymore. All that mattered now was escaping this never-ending nightmare, finding freedom of any kind left.

Description - The True Face: While things like skin color and hair color and such are the same as his mask, Elden's true face is far different. Instead of filmed over blind eyes, Elden has no eyes at all. He has a burn scar running from his left eye socket, down the middle of his cheek and down to his neck. Elden also has no tongue, the real reason he can no longer speak. His wrists and ankles still show the marks of rope burn, and he has scars of slash marks all over his arms, chest, and back.

Powers - Elden has a form of one way telepathy that lets him speak directly into others minds, only hazy impressions to normal people, but they get through loud and clear to any who have been to Arcadia. Although he can use this to communicate with others, his power cannot receive any thoughts in return. Elden's sense of hearing and smell have been severely heightened, but as a penalty, strong scents and loud noises hurt him. Elden obviously cannot see, but instead sees through his heightened sound and smell senses. This poses a problem because a sudden deafening noise generally puts him on the ground, defenseless and unable to do much of anything until he can hear again. However, the heightened senses make sneaking up on him extremely difficult.

Elden also is able to shut down some pain receptors in his body, making him resistant to pain and physical trauma, although actually injuring him is no more difficult then anyone else. Elden has very strong mental defenses now, but behind them his mind still bears the raw scars of his treatment. Any mental contact with him beyond quiet communication will cause him intense, unblockable pain.
