Some places have a cool down as the day time winds itself to an end; sleepy villages might turn in, town streets might empty quietly.
Cities, though, resist this.
A sleepy or relaxed atmosphere might accompany the sinking sun in some districts, but one might bet that another is just waking up, or experiencing something that excites all around.

Tinged with orange, the sun setting none-too-late, the streets were almost pretty from Jeremy's point of view.
City life; how it suited him.
A fedora-topped head of brown hair bobbed along as two, slightly canid, shapes trotted and scurried, playing a little, just ahead of him.
He sipped at a disposable coffee cup, eyes narrowed at some problem occupying his brain.

The eeveelutions were curious and something of change about the atmosphere was quickening them.
Often lost in his own thoughts, today was no different and it was leading Jeremy to give his team slightly more freedom in investigating people and pokémon that might have been polite.

Gearing up for a night shift was never all that much fun. Some people coped by staying in bed until the last possible moment, others tried to make coffee do the job. Neither of these had ever worked very well for Dith or at least had never made him feel good, and so he had another method. Exercise. He'd spent the last hour at the gym working on weights and making use of the rowing machines and bikes. Now he was out for a run, because he never had been able to stand treadmills. Probably something to do with falling off the first one he had ever tried to use.

The giant man got a few strange looks as he jogged along the pavement. Maybe it was his size, or maybe it was the my little ponyta t-shirt he was wearing. Possibly the was the combination of the two. In any case Dith was used to stares and smiled cheerfully at anyone who did pause to look at him.

This wasn't just a workout for him though, oh no, the pokemon were getting their exercise in too! Maybe therefore it was the pair of Espeon and the displeased looking Liepard trailing after him that were causing the looks.

There seemed to be a gigantic man charging toward them, being hotly pursued by a Liepard and an Espeon. This was enough to give Lestrade pause, tilting his head at the sight and adding his stares to those of the others.
His Jolteon playmate stopped when he did, but didn't stare for long. She was interested enough to charge toward the sight, letting out a curious bark as she did so.
Such an... odd-looking creature had to be interesting, and the fact there were pokémon that she could ask about him was more of a draw.
After all, the Leafeon always did say she needed to make more of an effort to 'make friends'. Or something like that.
Lestrade, unwilling to let Dupin wander too far from him, trotted after her, toward the giant Russian.

Jeremy wasn't exactly looking where he was going. If he didn't 'look up', or if Dith didn't stop, he might walk into the other man.
