[PRP] Kids in a Candy Store

A black-haired girl strolled in through the door, blue eyes wide with wonder. The smells were to die for. Distance trotted happily at her heels, marvelling at all the wonderful sights, sounds, and scents, while her father anxiously brought up the rear. He wanted to make sure he stayed close.

"I think I have enough from our last pokemon battle, so you each get to pick out one thing," the trainer told her pokemon. Fathom looked at her funny; he would have much preferred something from a Poké Mart. Maybe a new Poké Toy to replace the one that Ty had so thoughtlessly thrown at the Ursaring to get away with Luke.

Distance, however, was delighted with this. Her tail wagged twice as fast and she started whipping about the store excitedly, nearly tripping up a few people as she went. Poffin flavors and Poké Blocks interested her the most; her father said they made a pokemon improve in some way, shape or form. The variety they came in was awing.

Already inside the candy store was a blonde boy who was looking bent down, looking at various assortments of candy in the bins in front of him. With him were some very interested Pokemon as well. A black, white, and grey Pidgey with a bell around it's neck, sat upon his head. While a white Espeon sat beside him, and an Igglybuff came waddling over holding up a piece of candy.

"Buff buff!" the small round thing insisted, getting the boy's attention.

"Wow, that one looks yummy too." He said in a quiet, but cheerful way, a smile on his face as he took the piece from Danish. The Pidgey on his head crooned in agreement. The white Espeon was the only one to notice the newcomers. Her head turning slightly as she felt the presence of new people and Pokemon.

the Vaporeon scolded his child.

Distance complained, trying to stick her head into a bin of gummy confections that were meant to be scooped into a bag. Her father frowned at her and pulled her away by the scruff of her neck before dropping the lid shut with his tail.

He paused as he saw the elegant white Espeon, almost mistakening her for Distance's mother for a moment. He put the Eevee down to greet her. Tymiko had said he could have any one thing from this store, hadn't she...? She hadn't said it had had to be candy... although the term 'eye candy' came to mind.

Distance, of course, took this delightful opportunity to go sticking her nose into other sweet-smelling bins of sugary treats.

Ty's own attention was occupied watching the blonde boy interact with his pokemon. She grinned and tilted her head. "What kind is that?" she asked aloud.

At the greeting, Byakko tilted her head but didn't fully look at the Vaporeon. "" she said back in a quiet and meek voice, her forked tail waving slowly.

However, when Tymiko spoke, Emil looked up. He blinked, surprised when he realized that she was talking to him.. He didn't answer at first, confused by her question, and then it struck him that she probably meant the candy.

"Oh um... It's toffee," he said a little timidly then held up the piece with a smile. Danish looked up at the girl as well, bouncing once with a "Buff buff!" The Pidgey chirped her greeting as well.

the Vaporeon managed to state - right before he caught sight of Distance almost falling into a bin of jelly beans. Darting over, he snatched his charge out of the container just before the lid slammed down on her tail.

He thought there was something a little peculiar about the way she didn't meet his eye directly, but since her answer was more than anything he usually managed to get out of Luna, he was more than satisfied with it. <'Aye name's 'Athom,> he introduced himself, mouth half-full of scruffy Eevee fur. He put her down between his paws and kept her tightly gripped there.

Distance wriggled and struggled to get free. But when she saw the elegant white Espeon, she paused to marvel at her.

Ty giggled, amused at the fact that the boy seemed surprised that she was addressing him. She had hoped to slip into the conversation he seemed to be having with his pokemon as if she were nothing more than a casual stranger making a curious inquiry to a fellow candy connoisseur. Evidentally, that was not to be.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to be nosy," she apologized, laughing. "Ooh, toffee's good. Do you like that texture best? Salt water taffy's good, too. Or if it's the flavor you like, caramels are similar." She paused to consider. "Maybe toffee and caramels are the same thing. I don't know."

Byakko looked a little perplexed as he called her ravishing. But she didn't really have time to respond before he darted off to where the Eevee was. She couldn't really tell what was going on, so the white Espeon just remained where she was. When he returned though, she smiled faintly. ""

"Oh, no it's okay. I was just... surprised that's all." Emil smiled sheepishly and the nodded in agreement. He liked taffy too. "Toffee and caramel are cooked at different temperatures," he then ventured. "One of them is made with butter and the other with cream or milk."

Danish and Caroline listened with quiet interest and also peered curiously at this girl's Pokemon. The Eevee was about their size and the Igglybuff wandered over to her and waved a stubby little arm in greeting. ""

"Oh, cool! How did you know that?" Ty asked, inspecting another piece of toffee. "Are they your favorite type of candy? Which do you like better?"

Distance's attention was drawn from Byakko to the Igglybuff as the latter came over to greet her. She squirmed in her father's grasp and Fathom, satisfied that she had other pokemon (young as they were) to keep her occupied and out of trouble, let her go.

She stumbled from between his paws and circled the Igglybuff excitedly.

Fathom murmured, amused. He looked back to the lovely Espeon. he gushed, wrapping his tail delicately about his paws as he sat. your...charges?> he asked, looking to the Pidgey and Igglybuff. The blonde human boy seemed like he needed some looking-after himself.
