It had only taken Natalia a few minutes to start packing after receiving the news from Luke. She had kept herself busy so she wouldn't worry so much in the time between then and when she would leave to Grande Ile. Worry for Asch, worry for Luke, worry for their mother who she cared for deeply. She still arrived hours after the boys and found out that Suzanne had passed away. After learning this she had paused in indecision halfway between the boy's home and her own. Check on Asch and Luke first or give into her sudden urge to go home and hug her father?

Asch had needed a breather, and was seeking some time away from his family and the manor's staff. He had assured Luke that he wouldn't leave, and he planned to keep that promise, but he still needed to get out for a bit.
Thus the red head had left the manor's property and was walking the streets of the Royal Quarter. A place he had been familiar with during his childhood. Little had changed except certain details about the houses and the streets. Trees had grown, things were repainted, things like that. Yet, at every turn.. at every memory that was rekindled, it in some fashion had to do with his mother. Causing the stabbing pain of reality to remind him that he would never see or speak to her again.
Still he walked on, doing his best to cope while keeping an unreadable expression. Hardly noticing the people passing by. Including one blonde girl that he knew all too well.
Natalia had started walking again after her brief pause, heading towards the fon Fabre mansion, but stopped quickly when a familiar red head walked by. In a heartbeat she was moving to catch up with him so she was walking beside him. She stayed quiet, not sure what to say at first besides 'I'm sorry' which was not enough and slipped her hand in to his.

It was hard not to notice her now as Natalia fell into step with him. Still, Asch remained quiet, merely tilting his gaze towards her for a moment in acknowledgement. Words were not coming to him, so he didn't say anything.
As her hand slipped into his though, he permitted it, but didn't really grip hers in return. The last hand he held was that of his mother's and now the gesture felt empty. His fingers twitched slightly at her touch, but that was it.
