"All right," he said flatly, letting go of Luke and laying the letter on the beside table.
With that, Yuri turned to go. There was nothing else he could do, and frankly it didn't even seem like his presence was really wanted. So it was probably best for him to just leave.
Perceiving himself as victor in the exchange, Luke all but collapsed backwards to sit on the bed. He said nothing in pursuit of Yuri, not so much out of offense from his presence as of an intolerance of his words. The letter remained untouched as he rehashed his every explanation for why the claim could hold no truth.

A moment or so later Luke would hear a thud down the hall as Yuri kicked something out of anger. After that, he was gone.
