Phase 1

This was humiliating, Mengyao decided. Humiliating, irritating, frustrating, angering, bitter, lacking foresight, poise, and grace, all of the above and more. Since when did they think that it was all right to insist upon this ridiculous shenanigans of pretending that they were one of the many sheep that currently roamed Halloween Town?

Oh, that's right, when Medea decided to make them all into her puppets and then disappear.

He should have known better than to trust the priestess. He should have known that listening to what she had to say would only lead to disaster - and in this case social ruin. He was Mengyao Miao, a Horseman of Conquest, and he had been publically embarrassed by this whole thing. They'd been captured by the bogeymen, for heaven's sake.

Nothing could have shamed Mengyao further. Except perhaps doing something of his own accord this time. But he felt rather as though this were partially his fault, as he had chosen to blindly follow Medea, follow in her footsteps and assume that everything would just be wonderful in the end.

...well, he hadn't ever thought it would be wonderful, per say, but at least he thought it wouldn't have ended the way it did, what with them all being captured by the Jack damn bogeymen.

Mengyao Miao was not a particularly pleased horseman at the current moment, needless to say. And this was not even including the fact that he could not use the excuse that he was merely observing the Amityville students, now that he was forced to act as though he belonged in such a place - which clearly, he did not, and he never would, not if he could help it. Halloween Town was one thing; Amityville itself was an entirely different story altogether, one that Mengyao did not wish to read, nor involve himself with whatsoever.

Although repeating this mantra over and over and over again in his head was not exactly helping the situation, since it was rather like listening to the voices, which were steadily growing stronger and louder day by day. And constantly thinking of a situation he could not change only exacerbated the annoyance, which meant that he needed to just push forward and get things off of his mind.

Which meant...acting...like a stud -

- nope, he couldn't do it. He was not going to sink to their level, not in a million years. He'd push forward, and push through this entire mess with his head held high and proud, and he would show them that despite the fact he didn't want to do this whatsoever, he was a proud noble of Conquest, and he was not above proudly representing those of his clan.

...well, sort of.

Why was he on this mountain again.

Well that sucked. Mengyao decided that maybe, just maybe, climbing a freezing cold mountain was not exactly his strongest suit, nor his brightest idea. But his stubbornness and determination made him irritated, so he pushed forward and kept going.

...nope, still failed.

Mengyao really hated this mountain.

And climbing. Climbing sucked.

Maybe he should just give up on this particular class.

Somehow, when he reached the top, it was without the tunic top he had been wearing before. Mengyao glanced down at his bare chest with utter and obvious disgust, gave a resigned sigh, and continued forward, clenching his fists tightly.

He could do this.

...no he couldn't.

Phase 2

Mengyao was having a definite sense of life hate at the current moment.

Stupid bear. But at least he managed to get away from it, Mengyao traipsing further up the mountain with an even bigger scowl on his face, if that was even possible.

Maybe he should take up knitting or something.

Clearly he was not meant to climb mountains.

Final Phase

He hated bears a lot.

But it was with immense satisfaction that Mengyao managed to take out the last of the creatures that he was now determined never to remember, and he gave a smirk of pride as he sauntered away, pushing his hair back away from his face. Granted, he hadn't exactly been the most graceful in his attempts, but considering that no one was around to see him perform in such a way, he supposed it was all right. And it was not as if he were going to tell anyone about his little excursion up a snow covered mountain fighting oversized minipet creatures in half the clothes he was normally found in.

Now if only he could find a shirt.
