Shisei Tenshi  Shuichi Minamino & Spirit Fox Yoko KuramaAge: 21 years old 2000 years young.Gender: Male MaleRace: Spiritual Aware Human Demon Spirit FoxPowers: Vast Intellectual Approach // Unparalleled Precision: Perhaps one of Kurama's most powerful abilities. On countless occasions it has been demonstrated upon the sheer depth of Kurama's intellectual capabilities. Coupled with his innate ability to conceal his emotions in the face of adversity, and his power to summon plants from the demon world, his mind makes Kurama one of the most powerful characters in the series. Along with his centuries of experience as a fighter, Kurama has molded himself into a master strategist, tactician, and analyst. He is frequently the first person to point out or find a weakness in his opponent's abilities or fighting style and exploit them to his advantage. The weakness of this is that in his attempt to understand and come up with a way to defeat his opponent, he tends to go easy on his opponent at first and is often the most injured of the four. Still his ability to think several steps before the enemy almost always ensures his victory.
Known Techniques/Abilities (Kurama - Human)
Rose Whip (薔薇棘鞭刃 [ローズ･ウイップ], Bara Kyoku Ben Jin [Rōzu Uippu], literally translated as Rose Thorn Whip-Blade): Kurama's signature technique, where he uses his demon energy to grow a rose from its seed state to its flowering state and then into a long thorny whip that's capable of cutting even through steel. With this he is able to conceal seeds of different plants with such stealth that the opponent doesn't realize it until it has already happened.
Rose Whiplash (華厳裂斬肢, Kagon Retsuzanshi, translated as Luster Severe Rending Slash Limb, Thorn Whiplash in the Viz translation): Kurama swiftly slashes the whip in multiple directions.
Rose Whip Thorn Wheel (風華円舞陣, Fūka Enbu Jin, translated as Wind Luster Waltz Formation): Kurama draws the Rose Whip and swings it around him in a circle, as rose petals scatter around and stun his opponents, while the wheel created from the whip unleashes cresent-shaped energy blades.
Petals and Thorns (Fuka Enbu-jin which translates to Wind Petal Waltz Configuration; translated as Petal Whirlwind in the English manga) is executed via a whirlwind of razor-sharp rose petals materializing in the palm of Kurama's hand and then swirling around him. If an opponent/attacker gets within a certain range, the petals attack and cause small cuts where they make contact. Kurama mainly uses this technique as a barrier or to take out large numbers of weaker demons.
Accelerated Growth: Kurama is able to speed up the rate of growth of plants, allowing him to create a forest in mere seconds as a means of hiding himself. He can also control the plants he grew to do certain tasks.
Lamp Weed (アカル雑草, Akaru Zassō, translated as Bright Weed): Plants that act as markers for Kurama to find his way back. Used during the Chapter Black saga, as the Spirit Detectives make their way down to where the tunnel to Demon World is being opened.
Bamboo Forest: An unnamed technique that transforms the plant first into a spear, and then by striking the ground with said spear, a large number of bamboo pikes burst out of the ground and impales the opponent several times. Used by Kurama in the second movie in order to kill an unnamed Netherworld God that impersonated his former partner Kuronue.
Known Techniques/Abilities (Yoko - Demon)
Chou Kagon Retsuzanshi (Super Rose Whip): A more devastating form of the rose whip. When infused with Yoko's demon energy the rose whip sometimes appears as a red flash of light.
Death Tree (食妖植物, Shoku Yō Shokubutsu, translated as Devourer Demon Plant): A Demon World plant, the Death Tree is a root-based plant that contains huge mouths at the end of each root. It is a carnivorous tree with an acidic saliva capable of causing small burns to the skin if it comes in contact. Instinctively it strikes at anything that moves.
The Binding Fist of the Demonic Vine (樹霊妖斬拳, Juryō Yōzan Ken, translated as Wood Spirit Demon Beheading Fist): Similar to the Rose Whip in that it is composed of a vine with thorns, but this time it grows around Kurama's arm and is wielded as a sword-like weapon. Used only as an attempt to attack Sensui when they were fighting in Demon World, although he did use a similar attack, Leaf Blade, in his earlier days. It is speculated that this attack is in fact created by what are essentially rose whips manipulated and entangled around Kurama's arm, creating a sharp piercing weapon.
Floating Leaf (浮葉科の魔界植物, Fuyōka no Makai Shokubutsu, translated as Floating Leaves from Demon Realm Plant): This plant appears as "wings", similar to that of a butterfly, on Kurama's back that double as a glider. First used to break the descent of Kuwabara's, Hiei's, and his, falls while attempting to avenge Yusuke's death in Demon World. Is used later on to keep him in the air as Yusuke and Sensui clash in Demon World. Is unnamed in the English dub, but Kurama describes it as a leaf of a demon world plant.Weaknesses: Shuichi's greatest weakness is his kindness and compassion for others. In the past foes have used threats against Shuichi's human family in order to get an advantage over him in battle. Foes have also used lies to play on Shuichi's nature, pretending to be a helpless victim while secretly plotting how to over take him. Yoko Kurama's greatest weakness is greed. In the past his desire for wealth nearly cost his life. He was ambushed while sneaking into what he thought to be a rich noble's house, but in truth members of the SDF (Spirit Defense Force) were waiting to end the notorious thief once and for all. Fatally wounded by a gunshot Yoko Kurama fled to the human world and hid himself into the unborn son of Shiori Minamino. Yoko planed to return to demon world once his strength recovered in about 10 years, but in the end he stayed with his human counterpart Shuichi granting the boy unique abilities similar to his own.Likes:✔ Kurama enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoys learning about new things and improving himself. ✔ Yoko enjoys stealing the most valuable thing he can find and then watching those fools chase him, the Spirit Fox, to try and get it back. Dislikes: ✖ People using Kurama's family as gambling chips to get a leg up in a fight. ✖ What Yoko hates most is getting caught red handed with his paws in the cookie jar. Only happens every few hundred years though.Personality: Kurama is the most calculating, cunning and analytical member of the main characters and perhaps in the whole series. He is able to carefully look past his feelings and see the real situation at hand, which has been demonstrated on more than one occasion. He is extremely perceptive, able to quickly recognize the patterns and mistakes that his opponents make, which gives him an edge. In battle, while his preference is to concoct strategies based on deduction of his opponents' fighting abilities and style, his natural battle instincts are also highly tuned. He is capable of slashing another person's head off in just an instant, relying only on impulse. However, his care for his friends and family are the backbone of his fighting drive, as he would sacrifice just about anything to protect them. Kurama has a very kind heart, and several villains in the series will use this ploy against him in order to beat him.
In the face of adversity, Kurama has the uncommon ability to shun all emotions and shine a blank slate, thinking three to four steps ahead to clutch the pinch and seize control of the situation. Coupled with his vast intelligence, his detached emotional state is perhaps his greatest asset. Despite his physical appearance, Kurama has very high durability, shown in almost all of his matches. Because of his analytical lenience, he is always the most injured in his fights, but manages to pull a trick out of his hat to decide the match. This is well defined in his match with Karasu.As Yoko Kurama, he is much more cruel, vindictive, and merciless, retaining all of his intellectual capabilities. He enjoys toying with his enemies in a sadistic manner, as shown in the semi-final rounds of the Dark Tournament and against Karasu. The transformation into Yoko was attained inadvertently earlier in the tournament with the age regression technique of Ura Urashima (through Suzuka). Later on in the series after Yusuke's defeat at the hands of Sensui, Kurama seems to take on his demon form, though he states it is just a change in physical appearance due to his exposure to substantial amounts of demon energy (a product of the tunnel's completion).
In the anime, it is portrayed that he and his demon form have different personalities. This is due to the fact that while a demon, his ruthless demeanor along with the change in his voice, make Kurama seem like an entirely different person. However, this misconception is cleared as Kurama states that his demonic spirit , merged with the human spirit of Minamino Shuichi over time. So rather than being a demon inhabiting a human body, he "is both the demon Kurama as well as the human Minamino Shuichi." Appearance: Shuichi Kurama has waist length red hair and green eyes. He is often seen wearing a long sleeve button up shirt and grey trousers while he is not in combat. Kurama Battle Attire When transformed into the demon Yoko Kurama he has long silver hair, cat like ears, and a long silver tail. He has golden eyes and is often seen wearing a sleeveless white kimono top with white pants and shoes regardless where he is. Bio: It's been nearly three years since to fall of Sensui and surprising rise of Enki as the newest Demon World King. Many demons say 'it should of been me' however Kurama is not one of them. Kurama does not desire to be king of a world that would separate him from his family, however Kurama does hope to protect the human and spirit worlds from an unjust demon ruler with plans to destroy them. So once again Kurama is torn between the human world and demon world. Kurama has decided to join the upcoming tournament to study the fighters and learn their intentions. After three long years of textbooks, study hall, and essays Kurama feels he deserved a break. That is what he told himself as he sat down to dinner with his human family. Kurama told them he was going on a trip to find what career to pursuit after his education at the university was complete. Yoko joking told him a life of crime pays well with benefits, but unlike him Kurama preferred an honest living. It was a convenient excuse to explain why Kurama would be gone for the next few months, but Kurama preferred to keep his dealings with the Spirit and Demon Worlds a secret from his human family. Kurama could hear Hiei mocking him in the back of his mind on "how noble he was", but that is how Kurama has chosen to live his life as the human Shuichi and demon Kurama. After a brief farewell to his human family, Kurama packed his provisions for the tournament and headed off towards the tunnel to demon world.
Demon's Den, once the site of a decisive battle to determine the fate of all three worlds, has now become a tourist attraction for humans seeking the truth about the super natural and demons wanting to prove their strength by pushing through to the human world. In the past a massive barrier was setup to prevent A and S class demons from entering the human world, but upon becoming the most recent Demon World king Enki decided to break the barrier wall allowing demons to pass freely provided they do not cause harm to the human and spirit world or their residents. So far Enki's laws have keep peace between the three worlds with only a few minor problems here and there. With Hiei and the other past tournament participants working to keep peace on the Demon World side, Kurama and Genkai have been working hard to keep things civil in human world. Botan received a special assignment to locate the replacement Spirit Detective while the Demon World Tournament is going on. From the sound of it things are going to get busy really soon. Hoping to see some familiar faces show up to the Tournament this year, Kurama enters into the Demon World once more.Other Information: As of now Kurama has no plans on winning the Demon World Tournament as long as the perspective 'winner' has good intentions. This may change depending on how the battles go. Yoko however does want to win so he can claim the title and spoils that come along with being king of Demon World. Maybe as king he will gain enough strength needed to separate into his own body.Username: Shisei TenshiTamul-chan9090  Hiei Age: Currently Unknown Gander: Male Race: Demon/Halfbreed Powers: [✖] Weaknesses: While he will not admit to having any weaknesses, there are some that are worse than others that he has. His Dragon of the Darkness flame eats away at his arm and injures it a bit more each time he uses it, during the anime his arm was almost reduced to him being completely unable to use it. If he releases the Dragon or some of his other powers, it will consume something after it is released, if it cannot consume the thing or person that Hiei directed it towards, it may very well turn on him. He is heard in the anime saying "You know even now there is no way to completely control it." Likes: ✖His necklace with his mother's tear on it. ✖His little sister and his allies. ✖His sword. ✖his power. Dislikes: ✖Ignorant people. ✖People who are actually able to beat him in a fight (Yusuke excluded). ✖Kuwabara ✖We don't have enough space to tell all of the things he does not like. Personality: Hiei prefers to keep his distance from others, so he often comes across as aloof and elusive. He has a rather cynical and even misanthropic view of the world around him, often belittling and mocking humans and their emotions and the significance they place on friendship and life. And while he is relatively taciturn, he occasionally squabbles with and insults his teammates, especially Kuwabara. It is obvious that deep down he holds a certain amount of respect and kinship for his teammates, but seems to be closest to Kurama and Yusuke. As a fighter, Hiei is very unbiased when it comes to his enemies. He shows the same degree of ruthlessness to his foes - regardless of age or gender. This is seen when he terrorizes Ruka and the Masked-Fighter with threats of death as his power is returning. In battle, Hiei has killed the most opponents on the team- often making good on a threat he made at the outset. By contrast, he shows a surprising degree of sincerity, warmth, and protectiveness when around Yukina. It's made clear in both the anime and the manga that he holds the demoness Mukuro in high esteem, perhaps higher than any other character. He respects her for her power and accomplishments. At the end of the series, there is clearly a bond between them, as it's made clear that its by his choice that he remains at her side. He also goes out of his way to free her from her past, breaking her shakle in the anime and delivering her abusive father to her as a birthday present in the manga. Hiei prefers to work on his own agenda, and has a notorious reputation in Demon World as a killer even when he was a D Class demon. Despite this, deep down he has struggled with his identity as a loner and his abandonment. Appearance: Hiei is the shortest of the four main characters at only 4' 10" during the Dark Tournament (excluding his hair) as stated by Juri. At the end of the series, an artbook puts him at 5' 3". His height is never mentioned in the anime or manga, aside from the DT reference. Despite his short size, he has a lean, muscular build to him. He wears a white headband that conceals his Jagan Eye, which is placed on his forehead and has a purple iris. His eyes are crimson (blood red), with an angular and slightly slanted shape, giving him a very sinister look in the beginning of the series. He has spiky black hair (reminiscent of Vegeta from the Dragon Ball franchise) with blue outlining and white streaks. His skin complexion is regular peach-tan. Living up to his classic villainous persona, he usually dresses entirely in black. He wears a long black cloak-like jacket (with a white collar) and black pants tucked into black boots. He wears a black (and sometimes pale blue) undershirt under the jacket. He is the only one of the four main characters to never change his primary 'costume' during the series. The only exception was when he briefly wore light-colored Chinese battle costume at the start of the Dark Tournament. He frequently carries a sword with him that he keeps strapped across his back. Before mastering the Dragon of the Darkness Flame, he kept his right arm covered in bandages and bindings to keep the dragon from escaping. After gaining full control over it, a dragon tattoo now covers the arm and is visible when the bandages are removed. Bio: Hiei is known as Imiko" ( "cursed child" ), because he is a male fire demon born to a kōrime" ( "ice maiden" ), an all-female race. He was born male because his mother "interacted" with a male fire demon outside her isolationist Koorime community, which led to him being cast out as an infant and thrown over the mountain in which he was born. After surviving his fall down to the surface of Makai, he was found and raised by a gang of bandits, but it didn't last long. After realizing the value of the Tear Stone shed by his mother at his birth, he wore the Stone in full view of everyone, hoping to attract enemies to kill. At the young age of five, prior to his acquisition of the Jagan, Hiei achieved A Class youki status (according to Mukuro). As he grew older, he killed mostly for fun, causing those that survived to greatly fear and reject him. After he was rejected, he continued to wear his stone in full view, yet gathered an attachment to it, as it gave him a sense of calmness and kinship. Nonetheless, he lost it when he fought a demon, and he vowed to thenceforth search for it.[2] Later, Hiei received the Jagan implant from Shigure, the demon chiropractor/surgeon, in return for telling him the story of his life up to that point in time. Though warned that the surgery would drain Hiei of all his (former) strength and that it would be incredibly painful, Hiei undertook it anyway. Afterwards, he chose to accept Shigure's lessons in the art of swordsmanship in order to survive. He did so because his power level was reduced to that of a lower D-Class apparition. During his stay and training with the demon surgeon, Hiei decided to use his implant for what he originally Jaganshi Hiei looking quite sinister.wanted it for - to find the ice village that he was cast from as a child. He also wished to find the special jewel that he had lost in a battle with another demon, the very same one created from his mother's tears when he was a baby. He set out on his journey and thanks to the newly acquired Jagan, found his way back to the Glacial Village where he was originally born in a matter of days. Once there he found that he pitied the ice demons because he felt that as they were, they weren't truely alive to begin with due to their cold hearts and frosty disposition. He had hoped to find his mother, Hina, but would instead find her friend, Ree, the woman who was forced to cast him off the village and into a river below. From her, he found out that his mother had died years ago, having committed suicide due to the depression of losing her son and witnessing his "death". Hiei learns from Ree of the existence of his twin sister, Yukina, who left the village without explanation a few Hiei saves Yukina from falling debris.years before. However, she also told Hiei that it was assumed by herself, and her fellow villagers, that Yukina's reasons for leaving were more than likely due to discovering that she had a twin brother, and deciding to seek him out. After she finished answering his questions, he simply turned to leave without another word. However, before he did, she quickly realized Hiei's identity as Hina's son, and begs him to kill her then and there for her part in his fate. After appearing to think it over, he refused and continued to walk away. On his way back to Shigure, Hiei decides from then on to use his Jagan to watch over his sister, rather than finding his jewel. So it was, that upon his final departure from the demon surgeon, he decided to pay Shigure for his services as a swords-sensei. As payment for his teachings, Shigure has Hiei swear an oath never to tell Yukina that he is her brother, should their paths ever cross. Hiei accepts the terms and states that he never planned to tell Yukina anyway. After that moment, Hiei traveled everywhere, intent on finding his sister, Yukina. His search eventually took him to the Human Realm, and it was during this time that he first met the human form of Yoko Kurama, Shuichi Minamino. Hiei met Kurama one year before when they defeated the demon Eight Hands. This took him from his quest, briefly in the form of planned robbery of the Spirit World's artifact vault. Together with another demon named Gouki, the three stole three dangerous weapons from the Reikai (霊界, lit. Spirit World), and became the targets of Yusuke Urameshi's first case.
