Nicolette happily returned the hug Kiss Kiss gave her.

Pecha berry cupcakes? She hadn't heard of such things before, but they sounded delightful! The French comment, while it rendered her pleasantly surprised that someone else spoke her language, left her rather confused, and the expression she turned to Dove displayed this. "Pardonnez-moi?" Accent? Oh, did she mean how she spoke English? That was probably it, though she didn't recall Dove ever mentioning it, and she didn't think she missed it, she usually listened so carefully when people spoke... "Oui, je parle français. Il est la langue nationale où je vis," she informed the girl with a polite smile, "Grande Ile."

Delighted by the Eevee's behavior and appearance, Nicolette all but cooed as she stroked the small pokemon's head and long, soft ears. Ohhh, how precious...

When the pokemon moved to join the others around back, the young noble stood once more and followed the others into the house finally, then shut the door behind her before she moved to join the others in the kitchen. So since she had met Dove at the door, this other girl must be Seraphine. The girl smiled brightly at the brunette, and raised a hand in greeting. "Hello! You must be Seraphine - Luke and Rosie told me about you --," mostly that she also had a Rapidash, "and it is a pleasure to meet you."

Seraphine half-turned to regard both newcomers with a skeptical glance, mostly at the new girl. From Grande Ile, huh? She certainly looked and sounded like it. She also kind of looked like an air-headed little pansy, but since Rosie liked her she figured it would be best to keep that to herself, at least for now. Rather than give either of them their own greeting, she summed up her half-hearted response to both of them with a simple, "Hey." That was it. She still disliked Dove, and this girl looked like she was probably annoying, and again she found herself wishing it was just her and Rosie, but oh well.

Seriously though, pecha cupcakes? No thanks. Cheesecake all the way, for sure. Just because she ate pokemon berries while out in the wild with Ray didn't mean she would condescend to eat them in the city. Well, Dove could make those if she wanted, like Rosie had said, but they were making something much better, so the girl turned to her best friend with an obvious heightened level of interest and amiability, "So what're you guys making?"

-----------

All of Seraphine's pokemon were out as well - Isabella and Jacques were resting by the trees near Melody and Tank, Agatha hid up in the trees while Tact hung from a branch, Mordecai hovered near the door (in case he was needed), and Luna stood beside her sister, Celestia. Her two ghosts, however, were out of sight for the time being.

As Epona and Lovey entered, the Sneasel up in the tree slipped down to hang onto one branch with her dreadfully long claws, and though she spoke to the two dark-types below her, her piercing red eyes were focused solely on the small Eevee near the gate. Her words were soft and her question curt, but it made Jacques burst into laughter regardless, while Isabella snorted and cast a reproachful look up at her. With a disappointed snort, the Sneasel focused her gaze elsewhere and climbed back up into the tree.

Epona stopped once inside, vaguely surprised at just how many pokemon were out and about. she greeted amibaly in general to them all, complete with a small bob of her head. For real this time, unlike the impromptu quasi-introductions last time. She hadn't met this white mare before, though, so she bobbed her head politely at her as well as the darker mare near her.

Luna moved forward to greet her as well, offering a few polite words of greeting to the hornless Rapidash as well as to Lovey.

She nodded to Rosie, then followed her into the kitchen, looking back to Nicolette when Lovey ran off after Epona after enjoying the girl's attention. "I'm guessing you're fluent in both, then?" she asked amiably, genuinely excited for the answer. "Grande Ile... That seems to be a pretty popular place to call home. I'd really love to visit it someday."

As Nicolette paused to introduce herself to Seraphine, Dove simply smiled and took Sera's condescending nature as it came, not expecting any different. She almost giggled, however, at the startlingly obvious change in tone and regard she offered Rosie, though at the same time, it left a bitter feeling in her chest.

Brushing it aside for the time being, she reached for the bag she had brought and slowly emptied it of its contents, being careful to keep everything in one tiny area. Everything was freshly bought and colorful, perfect for baking, she thought. At the Kiss Kiss' curious look, she smiled softly and offered the Raichu a small pecha berry. She had been sure to buy extras.
--

Meanwhile, Lovey made her way around the house with Nicolette's Rapidash, exchanging pleasant conversation until they reached the garden where she greeted the other few politely as they were addressed.

Comfortable, the eevee glanced around at the rest of the group, curious to see if she knew anyone else, but she paused, her ear flicking at the sudden laughter and the Sneasle's eyes on her. Hesitant, she shrunk back a little, then offered a hesitant but questioning look toward both Jacques and Isabella. It was intimidating to be the smallest pokemon there--especially surrounded by such large ones, as she had chosen to stand with the Rapidash for now-- but she wasn't going to let it stop her from enjoying her day. She was curious, however, about what had been said, assuming she was involved, as the Sneasel's focus had been on her.

Rosie glanced up at the other three as they interacted, busying herself with moving contents like bowls and ingredients onto the counter so that they could get started with what they needed as they went.
She did pause at one point and place her hands on the counter, her eyebrows arching as she looked over at Dove. "That sounds so nice, I know I would really love to visit Grand Ile under better circumstances." She moved her attention over to Nicolette "From what I understand there is an open alliance now, Its pretty new, but since then more and more people from Grand Ile have come to Kodo... Have you started to notice a number of people from Kodo in your home land?" Rosie asked curiously. "Sera and I got some pretty strange looks when we were there. But we did have our pokemon out most of the time." She admitted with a small grin.

Still paying attention to the group, Rosie gestured to the fridge "Feel free to grab whatever you guys need from the kitchen! My home if your home!"
Though she crossed over to the other room, where she played with an MP3 docking station.
"Aaand I hope you guys like music with your baking!" She called back excitedly.

Kiss Kiss' wide eyes blinked when a berry was held out to her, a wide smile split over her face, and she held out a paw to take the berry, settling back onto her back legs to nibble lightly at the treat. "Raaai~"

"Oh, yes, I am," Nicolette replied to Dove's question, a little confused. Was that not clear? ...was her English different than the way they spoke here? Was that it? "French is the national language in Grande Ile, but English is also taught at a young age, so a lot of people are fluent in English too," she explained happily. "And it's beautiful, though," the girl hesitated as she thought, "I don't know how many people from Kodo live there... Mostly tourists, I think," she finished with a nod, then nodded more vigorously at Rosie's words. "Oh, yes! It's still very new, just within the last few years has Grande Ile opened up to Kodo. Before then it was mostly isolated because it's such a self-sufficient country," she explained proudly, then giggled. "Yes, there aren't a lot of pokemon there, and those that are there are either pets or used for riding or similar practical uses, not training or anything like they're used for here."

Since she had nothing to unpack, she remained there uncertainly for a few moments before moving to the boundary of the kitchen to address Rosie, "Is there anything I can help with?"

----------

Unfortunately for Lovey, Epona was a rather reticent pokemon and didn't speak much or offer much in the way of conversation herself. Questions would be answered with as few words as possible, and off-handed comments would be met with either nonverbal or hummed responses.

Agatha continued to watch the group from her place in the tree, no longer focused solely on the Eevee, and neither Jacques nor Isabella were inclined to respond to a simple look aimed at them.

Rosie's raised brow caught her attention, and thought she didn't understand it, she let it aside, turning again to Nicolette, listening as the two spoke of the alliance-- while it was nice to hear of such things, she was neither a native of Kodo nor Grande Ile, and while political talk made her think it would have been wonderful to hear from her father, where she was sure the information would be well received (though he was probably already well aware), she quickly switched her thoughts to other things in which she could really take part, watching as Rosie moved to switch on the music. "No, music is great!" she laughed, setting the rest of her ingredients onto the counter in an orderly, neat pile, taking up as little of the space as she could.

Her gaze then lifted again to Nicolette, with a bright smile. "So what kind of pokemon do you have in Grande Ile?" she asked curiously.

---

Lovey stayed with the Rapidash a moment more, then made her over to the dark types, inwardly hesitant, but wanting desperately to be polite, after they had seen her look. It would do no good to withhold an explanation. Outwardly calm, she looked to the smaller group, her tail waving in greeting. Well, at least most of them, and definitely not properly, she mused.

Nicolette turned to Dove. "Oh! Well, I know some people keep different ones as pets - small ones - but I don't know what they're called," she said apologetically. "The Guarde uses Rapidash and these small canine pokemon - I'm not sure what they're called, either - but they aren't seen very often at all in Devoirue."

-----

Isabella remained silent, though watched the Eevee arrive with a mild curiosity. Jacques, on the other hand, grinned broadly as he belly-flopped onto the grass, resting his chin on his upturned paw and his elbow on the ground. he replied amiably, though hidden behind his friendly and cheerful demeanor was the mark of a trickster through and through.

Tact remained fast asleep as he hung from the branch, and Agatha's attention was pulled elsewhere. Rather than focused like before, now she just looked bored.

"Uhhh" Rosie paused to think, leaning back into the Kitchen to look at Nicolette. "Nope! If you know what you want to make, then go ahead and start gathering what you need, make yourself at home."

A moment later the music started, and was put as a good volume for background music to allow the girl to keep talking.
Rosie appeared back in the kitchen, a dance in her step as she moved back over to the cabinet to start gathering bowls and things they would need.

"Growlithe" Rosie piped in with a smile, "they're also a fire type" She told Nicolette.

Dove smiled brightly, both amused and somewhat fond of the disposition Nicolette appeared to have. She just barely parted her mouth to give the pokemon's species as it was described, but closed it in favor of a smaller smile when Rosie returned and beat her to it. "Did you keep any pets, Nicolette? Aside from... your Rapidash, I mean?" Her head dipped a little in slight confusion as she tried to remember the pokemon's name, if she had been given it at all.

She stood next to the counter, somewhat uncomfortably, though Rosie had repeatedly urged them to make themselves at home; it was her first time in someone else's home, and she couldn't allow herself to be disrespectful. Not willing to make their hostess uncomfortable, however, she leaned back casually, looking to Rosie as she gathered the bowls and cooking instruments. "Are you sure you don't need help?" she asked, though her question sounded more like an offer. "What are you planning to make first?" Yes, she had brought her own ingredients for her own favorite treat, but she didn't want to intrude. It had just been an extra measure, in case they were needed, and maybe to offer them something new if they hadn't tasted them before. It was her favorite treat to make.

Her eyes drifted to Sera a moment, and though part of her knew better, she spoke up again. "Did you want to make anything specific, Seraphine?" The girl had asked Rosie the same question she had just posed to the blonde.

-----

Though Lovey had hoped to inquire as to how the Absol had been feeling-- she had, of course, been informed of most of what had occurred, either by her own trainer, or through the interactions of her trainer and the other humans after the fact-- her attention was immediately drawn to Jacques, and though she jumped a little as his abrupt change in position, she took a seat and offered a cheerful smile in return. She did remain cautious, however, sensing that there was much more to this pokemon than friendly smiles. she offered, bowing her head a little in proper greeting.

Nicolette looked to Rosie at her words, and committed the pokemon to memory. Growlithe. Those were adorable, too. Dove's question pulled her attention though, and she shook her head with a smile. "No, nothing. Epona is the only pokemon in my family," she explained simply. While her mother probably would have loved some, her father didn't want anything that didn't serve some legitimate purpose.

The idea that they could make whatever they wanted was both exciting and unnerving. This was Rosie's house - shouldn't they make what Rosie wanted? "I could make red velvet cupcakes," the young noble suggested uncertainly.

Seraphine raised her gaze from her nails to Dove, giving her a critical and displeased look, as if she'd just seen something gross on the bottom of her shoe that she needed to wipe off. Still, she condescended to reply with a succinct, "I'm not making s**t."

-----

Jacques grinned a wide, toothy grin at the Eevee. He surmised, his eyes half-lidded as he stared down at the normal-type with his toothy smile, his friendly tones not matching his condescending words in the slightest. ever brought you over to us poor folk over here, hm?>

Isabella snorted lightly and rolled her eyes at the other dark-type, then laid her head on her paws. If her injury still bothered her, she didn't show it in the least.
