PS3 Question

Will a PS3 not fully play PS2 games..? I recently have gotten a PS3 (backward compatible) and can't really play Tales of Legendia because the screen for most of it is blocky triangles in blue or green...

According to my friend, Tales of the Abyss stops on the PS3 around a tower so I was wondering if this was with just certain series or something...

No, not all games are backwards compatible. A ton of them are, but certain games that had to play tricks with the hardware in order to run can't. Games in the Tales franchise are notorious for this, mainly because they have to squeeze all the power out of they system that they can.

I'm not sure which on it is called ^^;;;

It plays most of my PS2 games, haven't tried PS1 game yet and PS3 games...
