Receiving a hug from Kiwi, she willingly hugged back, curling her free arm around his side and back, before letting him go so that he could take up residence next to Ying. Giving them both a soft smile, she looked to Ying as she was asked about her possible attention later on, awarding her a knowing smile, as she watched her hug the famine horseman.
"Of course, little one, later when we depart you can come to my abode and we can have tea, so that you can talk to me." She answered her, giving her a small wink, before turning towards Shaheen, and the taller man who had shown up, Thrain. She had caught the little motion that the guardian had given them, and with a little sly look, before giving him a respectful bow back.
"I would assume that we are all about to be educated in the ways of 'vacation'," she admitted, kind of air-quoting around the word, as if it had never been used before. "Who knows, we could find a way to make it worth all our whiles, correct?"

Shaheen's intense stare locked on Ying for a time, though the only emotion she let show was in that burning gaze, the rest of her face stony, and still. At Ying's suggestion, she wanted to laugh, scoff, or throw back some biting remark, but instead only said, her tone flat and dry. "Oh what an excellent idea, Ying, would you like to be the first to volunteer?" She was sure the girl could use a bit of battle training, at the very least.
With the surprise hug from Kiwi, Shaheen startled slightly, the impassive look on her face changing as her eyes widened, her body tensing. When she realized who it was, however, she relaxed, and flared a wing to wrap around him in response before letting him be off to interact with the others as well. with only a murmured. "It is good to see you safe as well, friend."
As more and more began to arrive, the anger that had been swelling inside of the chieftain began to ebb away, but only to the point where it no longer made her wish to bite everyones heads off. With the arrival of Yves, she brushed a wing against him in greeting, and gave a small nod of her head, "I would like that, yes.....but have we been given permission to do so?" As far as she knew, vacation meant just that...time away. Time away from the homes that they had sought so desperately to recover. Time away from all of the work and toil. Time to relax.
She didn't want to relax.
Nergui got a nod in greeting, too far away for Shaheen to brush feathers against, and Thrain, when he approached, had Shaheen's lips tugging up in a small smile, especially at his gesture, and facial expression. So she wasn't the only one feeling slightly nettled or at the very least confused by the prospect Death laid out before them. It was good to know, and she told herself she would have to pull him aside for a chat about it later. But for now....
"Brother." She greeted him. with a nod, that smile still playing along her lips.
And then back to Lifen. "I admit I am disinterested in receiving a lesson on the definition of 'vacation'. I think, our dearest Death, has made it fairly clear that we are to go our own ways, and do whatever we see fit to do." She eyed the silver seeds in the bowl nearby, debating whether or not she wished to utilize them in any way. What was she to do? Go to the maul? Go shopping? Get "pampered" in one of their so called "spas"?
Pursing her lips, she came to the conclusion that she would do nothing of the sort.
She would refuse the silver seeds, and any luxury that they had to offer. She didn't need them.

Kiwi startled slightly as Nergui's hand landed on his shoulder, but he exchanged a warm smile. "Indeed. It feels wonderful to be back, though there's still work to be done."
He smiled gently as Ying embraced him, giving her a gentle hug in return. "And likewise I'm glad you're safe and well, friend." He squeezed her hand reassuringly.
Shaheen's reaction wasn't unexpected. Under any other circumstances, she would receive a solemn nod, and perhaps a cuff to the shoulder, but he was grateful to see the War chieftain alive, and in what seemed to be her typical demeanor. He smiled warmly to both her and Lifen, listening as others gathered round. They seemed to be discussing Death, and this mention of a vacation. It was true, he didn't really know what to do with himself, other than remaining close by his friends, fractured wings huddled over them as if he could somehow protect them from the things they had all just experienced.
And he did trust Death, at least to some extent more than Medea. Though at times like this, he wondered if they wouldn't be better off back under her care. Or better yet, simply free to live their lives as a clan. To simply rebuild and take what resources they needed, and just have room to flourish.
But for the time being he curled his wings close and listened quietly, glad they were home.

Those present seemed to be mostly of the other clans at first, and horsemen of other clans who knew each other well at that. Nkosazana decided that she would let them have their reunification, instead moving to stay where she was with silver seeds tucked away in her bag.
Seeing some of Death, though, including a fellow Sister of the order, helped Nkosazana feel a bit more relaxed, instead of the somewhat intrusive she had felt before. As much as Nkosazana had always been curious about the other clans, and had even gotten involved outside of her clan at some point, familiarity was good when so much around them had been so bizarre.
Even if she still wasn't sure what she was supposed to be doing with the gift Death gave. Silver seeds were the currency of Halloween at large, though, right? There had to be something she could use them on in the name of commanded leisure. Didn't their maul have a spa? She had heard good things about "spas"... Perhaps that was an option.
It would take some mulling over, though.
Peace was a bit strange, but at the same time, she was not of the War Clan. Peacefulness was something Nkosazana would willingly accept after all the insanity lately.

She gave Kiwi a gentle squeeze on the shoulder, smiling down at him. It was nice to see the isles again, but she wasn't at all sure how she felt yet. Honestly she wasn't entirely sure she trusted it, not yet. She eyed the silver seeds with pursed lips but made no move to take any.
Instead she released her hold on the colt and moved past him towards Thrain, one dark arm coming to curl around the side of her childhood friend. His wariness was understandable, she agreed. Still, how often were they afforded an honest to goddess break in the chaos marked courses of their lives? "While it lasts, maybe we should enjoy the lull in battle and do as Death advised us." She didn't trust it, but she would indulge while she was able. Peace and quiet came so rarely to them.
A nod was offered to Shaheen and she gave the other warrior a half smile. Perhaps they could take this opportunity to better get acquainted. Nkosazana as got a nod and a smile.
She didn't know Ying well, but she still offered the filly a nod before she slid away from Thain so she could greet Lifen properly. "I'm glad to see you're well." It was her cryptic way of expressing how very much she cared. She worried over all of the Lost Clans, but there were some she worried over more.
