[FIN] Hunting for Dragons

A few minutes after the connection had been lost, they would hear and see a pair of large flying Pokemon above them. A Pidgeot and a Altaria descended, both bearing the symbol of emergency response from Sandalwood. Their riders quickly jumped off and rushed to the little group. One woman immediately came to Yuri's side and assessed the situation while a man stood talking on a radio, saying they had found them and gave coordinates.

It wouldn't be long after that, that a rescue helicopter would be hovering overhead and lowered a stretcher.

The woman quickly put an oxygen mask over Yuri's face and pumped air manually to help him breathe just before they began loading him onto the stretcher. It was then that the man lost consciousness completely.

"We're losing him, hurry get him up!" The woman said to her companion, who signaled for their patient to be lifted into the waiting chopper.

As the rescue team arrived, Dove felt her entire body go weak from the release of anxiety. Still, she continued to apply pressure until another of the medics came and took her place, part of which she was exceptionally grateful, the other part of which she was fearful. No longer touching him, his life was in someone else's hands, and as he was taken away from them altogether, her heart nearly stopped, especially as the woman called up for quicker efforts, thinking they were 'losing him'.

Suddenly unable to bring herself to her feet on her own, the girl allowed one of the remaining responders to bring her to her feet and to help clean her up a little; the sweater, though thick and made for the outdoors was now covered in blood, as were her hands and legs. She would change quickly, and the contaminated clothes would be burned by one of the pokemon nearby, while all the while her heart raced painfully and her eyes followed the now empty skies, her head spinning as she tried not to think about what had just happened, and what the consequences might be.

The area was quickly cleaned up, and Dove, though in much more reserved tones, directed them to see what could be salvaged and what should be disposed of. After gathering her own things--after making sure they were actually alright to carry-- and calming her pokemon, she turned to Henrietta, extending an arm. "We can meet them at the hospital, if we're fast," she told her, her voice drained of emotion. Exhausted, she looked around, wondering what else she should gather, blinking as it appeared Yuri's sword had been washed away in the river.

Looking around the site, however, she stilled, her heart sinking and tears springing to her eyes.

Aurora walked silently alongside Jace, her head low and against his side as she led him quietly.

The boy was silent, walking slowly, Yuri's bag over his small shoulders, each of the pokeballs collected and stored safely. The sword lay heavy in his hands, and tears poured down his cheeks as he stoically tried to bite back the overwhelming fear and horror he had just witnessed.
