On this wonderful midnight summer's eve, Cloud, Rain, and all their respectively-owned territories (including the one's secured legally by Cloud in the Wind and Fire countries during the Madking Arc) are now conjoined in one national unity. This supernation is now and henceforth known as The Collective. The military is shared. Rejoice my brethren, we are unified. And of course, we extend an open invitation to whomever wishes to give their village and country to the greater good. The kage will become an advisory council, with one elected Overseer to govern the nation. The council will keep the Overseer in check, and vice versa. The feudal lords do not have control. They never have, and never will. They are wasted resource.

War is on your doorstep, inhabitants of the shinobi world. Each village Kage has received a direct message to their office via carrier bird. Each notes reads the same,
Who are the Unified Armed Forces? They are a collective of every minor shinobi village and armed nation outside of the Five Great Nations and their respective villages. They will have vengeance for the bloodshed from the collateral damage of the bickering of the Big 5...should you insist on standing up for yourselves and fight.
Take up arms, or run and hide, shinobi of Leaf, Sand, Cloud, Rain, and Waterfall. Be willing to lay your life down for your countrymen, or submit to a land that you have never and will never see.
This is war.
This is the basis of the arc above, but allow me to add some points.
This arc focuses around war and its horrors. It will not be one of Shane's arcs where the dead return. If you die, you are dead. However, death is usually avoided. Genin and Chuunin will almost never be killed unless they continually put themselves in lethal danger's way. Jounin and Sannin are high priority targets. If capture cannot work, there will be attempted killing of them.
Not only this, but you have the chance to fight for the U.A.F.! Simply go to the subforum designated for their stronghold and submit a profile in the thread. Members get chuunin-ranked characters, and crew may have jounin-ranked or lower characters.
NPC characters for the U.A.F. are usually in large squads of genin or chuunin with jounin commanders.
Resisting the U.A.F. will be hard. Be sure to use your full strength. There is power and numbers.
