Rosie stood hovering over her gear for a long time after she got a reply from who she could only assume was still Abel. her fingers tensing a little on the device, again not sure what to do. a big part of her wanted to go find them... Luke got attacked again.. she knew Abel said he was okay but how could that be true if he had to go to the hospital?

The initial contact though was to tell her that Luke would be home late... it wasn't when she asked what happened that she was even told that he was hurt. She wanted to go, but it seemed to be something that was just brushed off, would it be inappropriate to go? they didn't contact her to have her come over anyway, she was contacted more of less... to just expect him home late... to wait here?
Her chest hurt with each heavy breath she forced through her lungs. Someone attacked Luke again, and its being treated like nothing, and she would have to wait here.

There wasn't a great deal of information that Luke could offer the police outside of the short sequence of events that had transpired, and so it wasn't terribly long before the accumulation was ready to dissipate - the police, taking custody of the perpetrator's alleged Bulbasaur, departed to proceed with their investigation, and Luke was conveyed to the hospital to see a doctor proper and have the wound on his face appropriately cared for.

By the time Luke was prepared to go home, it was already night. He was tired, sore, developing a bit of a headache, and generally a bit more shaken than he had been after having had the time to quietly reflect on what had happened. He also quickly came to the realization that he had left his pokegear in Abel's possession; he wasn't sure it was polite to hope that the man had waited all that time.

At last the redheaded man appeared in the emergency room lobby, sporting a broad bandage over the injury and a small collection of papers given by the hospital.

Fortunately for Luke, Abel had indeed waited - or rather, he'd left for a short time to grab his car and something to eat, the former because he'd indirectly offered Luke a ride home and kind of needed to be able to drive himself home too, and the latter because his trip to the cafe had been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances - so he was waiting idly in the lobby, lounging in one of the chairs with Isaac curled up in his lap. He had taken to glancing up whenever someone different appeared or passed by, and so when Luke emerged from the nearby doorway, the blonde habitually glanced up. His countenance brightened at seeing the redhead was finally out, and he coaxed Isaac up onto his shoulders so he could stand to approach him. The poor guy looked pretty bad with that huge bandage on his face, but that was much preferable to the bloody towel he'd had earlier. "Hey," he said, and raised a hand in greeting as he moved forward to meet him. "How're you feeling?"

In the absence of expectation, Luke was pleasantly surprised and mildly relieved to discover that Abel was there. He nodded to return the greeting, wearing a somewhat weary smile. "Okay," he replied with a faint shrug. "Mostly tired, I think."

"Yeah, I bet you are," the blonde said with a brief smile; it was hard to be positive when the guy had literally been stabbed in the face and had spent a long time being questioned by the police and cared for in the hospital. No wonder he was tired.

After returning Luke's gear to him, Abel lead him outside to his car, luckily parked nearby, so he could drive the redhead back home like he'd told Rosie he would.
