For some reason - maybe the lack of format - Lennox felt the burning urge to merely train. He wanted to feel the ache in his muscles and work the gears in his head as he tried to work out each and every technique he could get his hands on. With the systems set in place there was definitely an easier method, but the boy wanted to keep it traditional for the time being. So he ambled onto the fields with a smile on his face and determination set in his soul. Lennox had the notion to go down the line of elements he had access to, starting with the most basic and essential ninja skills. Many of these were ignored due to limitations and everyone tended to just look the other way when they were used. But when one could learn them all, it only showed them as lazy when they chose not to. Nox was definitely not lazy. He understood how he needed to mold chakra and shape it to his will. He understood how to draw it out and make it do what he wanted. So when he brought his hands together in the holy union of seal making it took the blink of an eye for him to work his ninja magic. With a poof and a plume of smoke he transformed into the likeness of his grandfather, growing taller and thicker and having a beard sprout from his chin. He looped his thumbs behind his suspenders and grinned from ear to ear, rocking on his heels and reveling in his success. Lennox looked towards a sack stuffed full of straw and did another finger dance. A light popping sound resounded as Lennox disappeared, switching places with the dummy. The move was very handy but entirely underhanded. Probably why it was limited in battle. There were a load of abilities available to any ninja who had access to chakra. Most of them were utility based but there were the defensive and even illusion kind. Lennox squatted low to the ground, sitting back on his haunches as he focused chakra down and around into the soles of his feet. With a mighty push the boy leaped into the air and brought his knees up to his chest. Mid air he pushed the chakra from his body and leaned sideways. Nox shot to the side and flipped, hugging his legs to him and rolling a few times in the air. He extended his legs and bent his knees as he struck the side of the dojo. One foot slid down and for a moment he teetered on the edge of falling flat on his a** and sticking to it like a spider.

For now that was all Lennox cared to learn from this branch of ninjutsu. He sat on the ground and took in a deep breath, closing his eyes and pushing his hands through the grass to feel the dirt below. He had a serious nature connection, not only to the grass, plants, and trees, but also to the earth. Without needing seals to mold his chakra Lennox pushed the energy into the dirt and watched as the ground shot up on either side of him. Two pillars were forming, one of them made of stone and rocks, and the other of dust and dirt. Two clones formed on either side of him, perfect replicas of each other. They ran at each other, the stone one lumbering slowly, and struck. The one made of dust struck twice and the earthen one delivering a heavy handed blow. They both disassembled though the one made of dust exploded outward. Still alit upon the ground Lennox pushed more chakra out, this time directing his power to pull the earth towards him. As if it was a conveyor belt the ground started moving rapidly towards him, though the lane was fairly thin. Long fingers pushed deeper into the ground, but the earth was moving away from his hands. A hole was growing and suddenly it was filled with water, clear as the skies on this beautiful day.

Wanting to move onto higher tiered techniques, Lennox rose to his feet and held out his hands to his sides. This ability to perform earth techniques seals free was a trait based down from his clan. He exhaled as he expelled chakra and in an instant the ground shifted around him. Twenty five feet of spikes shot up all around him, with five feet of space from him on all sides. With decent speed he began to sink into the ground, the earth swallowing him up and eating him whole. Like a fish in water Lennox was able to cut through the earth, using his ability to sense vibrations to mark his location. His hand clawed through the ground with no resistance and he made to grab an invisible target. Nox pulled down and sunk further into the earth, pretending to yank his phantasmal enemy down with him. As he rose through the dirt and rocks he began to vibrate the area around him. By far it was no earthquake, but it would serve to unsettle someone and perhaps throw them off balance. He stomped on the ground for some theatricality and a short pillar popped up. A small boulder the shape of a ram's head launched outward and sailed through the air for awhile before crashing back down to the ground and breaking up. Dipping his hands into one of the pouches he had upon his belt, Lennox pulled out three shuriken. He tossed them one by one in abstract directions and then raised his hand in a grabbing gesture. Balls of mud shot up into the air and collided with the shuriken, effectively rendering them useless. Manipulating the same balls of mud he created, they rose into the air and shot at a dummy propped up on a stand. They slammed into the arms and chest and clung to it with decent force. Had that dummy been a person they would feel the mud balls weighing them down. Lennox faced his palms down to the earth and lifted them slowly. All around him the earth began to push him higher and higher until he created a little hill high off the ground. The sides were sloped and angled, which would make it difficult for anyone to scale them and attack him. He would be given the higher ground using this technique and it even worked well against pools of water. Nox hopped down and skid his way to the bottom of the mound. Palm pressed against the mound he caved in the wall of it, carving out a small hole he could effectively hide in.
