Ami once again dawned her trainee coat. Having one successful capture under her belt, she was feeling confident and poised. Even if this time she failed, it was still a success overall, having one demon captured.
However, she knew that next she would need one of a separate variety to complete the contract. She was unaware of if demons could contract one another, but capturing a non-demon at least created one control group, wherein she could test such theories.
"Hello? I-Is anyone there?" she called. Her normal monotonous voice had faded to something more childlike and innocent, something with tonality and life to it. She was, in fact, acting the part of innocent trainee hunter, who was very lost.

Oh, someone was there alright. Someone who wasn't interested in helping the hunter in finding their way back. For one, he was lost himself, and two, the way the ghouls voice sounded made him realize that the ghoul was frightened. He wanted to take advantage of that fear and make her even more scared.
The xenomorph slowly crawled his way across the roof, having ditched his skull pin somewhere in the other rooms. One perk to this strange place, he could roam around in his natural form. He soon saw the red head ghoul below him, standing around in the middle of the room. It was the perfect place for him to jump down and scare her even more then she already was.
With careful movements, he slowly reached out, claws gripping the wall as he lowered himself and then dropped behind Ami, his whip like tail straiting to keep him balanced as he stood up to his full height.
"Hiiisssss"

Evan was at once excited and disappointed for this outing. On the one hand, they weren't after a demon, which meant he may get to kill things after all. On the other hand, Ami said he couldn't kill whatever they came across. On the other, other hand, she hadn't said he couldn't do horrible, horrible things to them after she was done doing horrible, horrible things to them. He would take leftovers over an empty plate any day.
He hid, grudging and obedient, and watched as a monster dropped from the ceiling and stalked Ami across the room and right towards him and Lex. It looked familiar, somehow, but Evan was sure he would have remembered seeing something that ugly in person. Gir growled as it got closer and Evan soothed him. Soon he might get to play; for now, they would watch and wait for Ami's signal. He wasn't too worried for Ami, small as she was--if anything, he felt sorry for the monster.

Evan forgot, sometimes, that Ami was just as much of a Hunter as any of them were, in all respects. It was easy to underestimate someone so small and understated, but if anything, that only made her more dangerous. He found himself surprised and impressed by how quickly and efficiently she took down their prey and added an exclamation point to the mental note in his head that read "Don't make Ami mad!"
She summoned them, and Evan rose from his place in the shadows. It had felt wrong to hide when, between the three of them, they could have take on anything--but this was Ami's op, and he was just happy to be allowed the opportunity to tag along.
He did wish, though, that the gun in his hand shot bullets or rockets or even space-age lasers instead of just a net. It didn't stop him from firing on the monster, but it did make him wonder what would happen if his gun was loaded with something a little more lethal.

Ami frowned at Evan, seeing as he'd shot the net too close to her shoes for her liking. Lucky for him he didn't net her completely, or he'd really have something to cry about.
"Stay your bloodlust, Evan," she commented as she slipped the red pendant around Sludge's neck. "An impulsive barbarian is undesirable."
Sludge was sticking out from under the net slightly, so Ami kicked one of his ... appendages (?) back underneath. "Sleep," she ordered. The pendant did the rest.
poke mattix A dark, dull sense of sleepiness overcomes your character, and when they awake, they are somewhere else, far away. Please proceed to this thread!

As he eyed the spear directed at him, Sludge saw two more figures appear from the shadows, walking toward him slowly. He bared his teeth at them showing off his second mouth as well, Hissing angrily at the predicament he was in. Both were wearing the same white cloak as Ami was, and from his position on the ground he could see the gold markings on the edge of each coat. What did these markings mean?
One of them was holding a weapon of some sort, a gun by the looks of things. He knew what a gun was, as many other Xenomorphs had had to fend of enemies entering the hive using such things. When it was fired, he soon felt a large net draped over the top of him. Sludge forgot about the spear that was pointed at him and thrashed, trying to shear through the netting with his sharp tail or cut it with his claws. Instead, all he did was get himself more tangled. After a few seconds he realized he couldn't even move at all.
He looked back to Ami, who had done a complete 180%. Instead of the frightened little ghoul she was now stoic, a presence of authority. He began to wonder if she was one of those 'teachers' he was told about. At the very least she was much stronger then he was. When she approached him he struck out with his second mouth but it didn't nothing to deter her, and he felt a strange object fitted around his neck.
His tail swished a little, sticking out of the net and still trying to cut at it. It was soon pushed back under with a kick, and she said a single word to him. No, she commanded him.
'Sleep'
His urge to fight was changed to a need to sleep, energy flooding out of him as he flopped to the ground and succumbed to darkness.
