Personality: Khaliq was cut off from the Clans after the islands fell to the Hunters. He has spent these last years largely alone and left to his own whims and devices, devoid of authority, leadership, and the guidance of his brethren. As a result, he has come to depend solely on himself for his survival and his ability to thrive and grow as a Horseman. It has made him inherently selfish; while he may offer his aid and companionship to others, it would only be because it has some benefit to him. Reintegration will be difficult--though not impossible--and it is likely that those who have nothing to offer him will be kept no closer than arm's length. If he can't make use of you, you are not worth his time and energy.
That said, there are a great many things that have value to him, knowledge being first and foremost. He missed out on a lot between the time of the decimation and the rise of the tower. He is likely to seek out those who can get him up to speed and can teach him the new way of things. He values those with more experience than himself and is content to watch and learn until he can do for himself--though his teachers may find themselves discarded once he has nothing left to gain from them. However, Khaliq is not rude to those he can't use as much as he is dismissive because they may be of use to him further down the road. Those who do have his favor may find themselves gifted (read: bribed) with the odd colorful trinket that is less a token of his affection and more payment for services rendered.
He had a long time to do nothing but whatever he wanted, and it eventually led him to experiment with various jewel-toned insects. He admired their bright colors and initially started painting his face to entertain himself. Now, it acts as a way to mark himself as unique; one of the swarm, but voluntarily separate.
Mount Form: Emaciated sand-colored Arabian, rotting along the face, sides, and flanks. Blue patches of paint over its eyes, streaky blue handprints on its flanks around the rot.
