▌May the fallen rest in peace,▌ So, we all know kittens like string, but did you know that they also like yarn because of the smells? Mine especially loves yarn made from Alpaca/Llama wool. After a while though, strings get boring and worn out. So why not make your beloved fluff a blanket for their bed? Or even your bed, if they've taken it over?
Disclaimer: Some Knitting experience required, unless you're a fast learner. All it takes is some yarn (preferably something like Alpaca, they'll love to roll and play in it), and some knitting needles. Cast your stitches on, as many as you would like, and knit away until it's the desired size. It can be as big or as small as you want, and it's okay if it comes out crooked, or lumpy. Kitty won't mind.
If you've got a lot of experience under your belt, feel free to add stripes, designs, tassels to your Cat-a-Mat. More fun for everyone! ▌and may the rest fall to pieces.▌

You can also make a Fuzz ball out of Yarn for them to play with until they tear it apart. and all you have to do is wrap the yarn around your hand a bunch then take the yarn and go the other way to tie it and take some scissor to cut apart the loops.

You can make a blanket using methods from both knitting and crocheting. My cat loves the Red Heart Super Saver Yarn. It's 100% Acrylic and still is pretty soft.
