Pay attention? Pay attention to what? What was so imp---oh, the questions, right, okay, she should probably listen to those. Um. Something about Madeejapan? No, that wasn't right, uh-
"A?" She questioned - salami had two a's in it, and that was all she had to go by. It made sense, and it was quite clear she was using every ounce of her squeaky brain for this.

"Nope, they're both... B, I guess?" He scratched his head. "But it doesn't matter!" Kenner removed one whole plastic medallion and another half of one from his original cardboard box and handed them to Helmut. "You got three right. A half a pendant for each." He flipped to the last card and skimmed it, lips moving as he read.
"Okay." He pulled a glowing bronze button mounted on a small piece of wood out of the box as well. "All I have to do now is push this and you'll go on to the last—"
One second Helmut was standing in the grass on campus, and the next she was in the middle of a darkened studio, an elaborate set sprawling in front of her. She only had a moment to look it over before someone grabbed her from behind and carried her toward it.
The mysterious figure dropped her inside, then disappeared.
The room she found herself in was very small and entirely empty, except for the portal on the far wall.

This is it! What you have been training for. Helmut must pass through two of the temple's rooms before the one that contains Jack's Legendary Human World Sandwich opens. Touching the sandwich will bring her back to Amityville and she will be a Knob! SHE IS A WINNAR
To begin, roll 5d4 and use the first two numbers that differ from one another to determine which rooms you will visit. (If you don't get two different numbers, you are a crazy defier of statistics and should roll another d4.) When you're done with the two rooms you rolled, continue on to The Throne Room.

1: Medusa's Salon
This room is very shiny, green, and circular. It is difficult to tell where the floor ends and the walls begin. At its center, a woman's stone head is mounted on a pedestal, her snakey stone hair curling toward the ceiling.
Quote:
To move on to the next room, roll 1d6 per post. Continue rolling until Helmut has found three snakes and stuck them into Medusa's head.
1: Helmut finds a yellow snake!
2: Helmut is confronted by a Temple Guard! If she has a whole pendant of life that has not yet been spent, she may give it to the guard and continue on. If not, the guard will catch her and she will be portaled back to Amityville. She did not retrieve the sandwich, but she is still a Knob! This confrontation can only happen once in this room. If Helmut survives the first Temple Guard attack and rolls another 2, she finds an orange snake instead.
3: Helmut finds a red snake!
4: Helmut finds a blue snake!
5: If she has not already found one in this or any room before this, Helmut finds a half a pendant of life. It fuses with the half pendant she is carrying to make another whole pendant! If she has already found a half pendant in any room, she finds a purple snake instead.
6: Helmut finds a white snake!

2: The Cave of Kitsunes
The walls of this rocky cavern are covered with masks of all sizes and shades. There is a plain white mannequin head to the right of a locked door at one end of the cavern.

To move on to the next room, roll 1d10 per post. Continue rolling until Helmut has chosen one of the masks that will unlock the door. She may put them on the mannequin head, on her own, or just hold them for a while, the result is the same.
1: Helmut finds a pink mask with a red heart between its eye holes. It does not open the door.
2: Helmut finds a white, faintly glowing mask with six eye holes. It opens the door!
3: Helmut is confronted by a Temple Guard! If she has a whole pendant of life that has not yet been spent, she may give it to the guard and continue on. If not, the guard will catch her and she will be portaled back to Amityville. She did not retrieve the sandwich, but she is still a Knob! This confrontation can only happen once in this room. If Helmut survives the first Temple Guard attack and rolls another 3, she finds a green mask with blue gems instead. It does not open the door.
4: Helmut finds an orange mask that smells like oranges. It opens the door!
5: Helmut finds a purple and white paisley mask. It opens the door!
6: If she has not already found one in this or any room before this, Helmut finds a half a pendant of life. It fuses with the half pendant she is carrying to make another whole pendant! If she has already found a half pendant in any room, she finds a mask made of parsley instead. It does not open the door.
7: Helmut finds a black mask covered in bright yellow arrows. It opens the door!
8: Helmut finds a brown mask with big bushy eyebrows. It does not open the door.
9: Helmut finds a slimy yellow mask. It opens the door!
10: Helmut finds an invisible mask. It does not open the door.

3: The Pit of Sparkles
Helmut enters this room from the ceiling and falls into a pile of pillows, golden glitter, and confetti. The pillows are very squishy. It is difficult to escape.

Roll 1d10 per post. When the total of all of your rolls in this room is greater than or equal to 10, Helmut is free to exit.

4: The Shrine of the Silver Foxfire
This room is the smallest of the five. All it contains is a thin silver post at its center and four walls covered with small-to-medium sized cupboard doors. Inside each, there is a random third of a silver foxfire. One of each section—head, body, feet—must be found and assembled on the post to move on.

Roll 1d6 per post. The part Helmut finds corresponds to the rolled number below:
1: body 2: head 3: feet 4: body 5: feet 6: head

The Throne Room
When the door to this final chamber opens, it brings with it such a feeling of satisfaction that there might as well be a demonic scareling choir accompanying the feat. A plastic replica of Jack's Legendary Human World Sandwich sits at the center of a spotlight on the seat of a red velvet throne, and when Helmut touches it, she is sent home. Kenner and his supplies are nowhere to be found.

sorry, i was sick but now you are finally almost done yayyyy
"H-hurray! …?" Helmut wasn't sure whether to cheer, or if she should at least pretend to be modest about her cheering. Honestly, she just had no idea what was happening anymore. Still, three right and three half-pendants were better than none right and no pendants. Hopefully. She perked up when there was something about a button - but that didn't seem to matter anyway, as suddenly she was in the air, falling, and then somewhere she didn't recognize.
What.
The wendigo blinked at the sudden change in scenery…

She was in a cavern of sorts. By herself. All alone. With nothing but hundreds of hundreds of eyes staring at her from everywhere…and a plain white figure, who did nothing but stand still. She approached the figure with a shaking, slow shuffle. All the while she worried her tiny hands together.
"Um…e-excuse me…?" She asked the still white figure, pointedly not looking up at it. "…H-hullo?" She tried again, this time peeking up at it, only to discover…it wasn't a living thing? It was one of those mannequins.
…
…
Oh.
With a cough she ran to the door, and tried pulling it open. It didn't budge. Of course not. Without much else to do she wandered the room, looking for a key. Naturally, there was none to be found. Eventually she started picking the masks off of the wall - at least the ones that were at her height, or within tiptoe range. A few had been dropped after briefly being placed on her face, until she picked up a glowing one with six eyes.
The minute that one touched her face, she heard the click of the door.
It took her two seconds of thought before she dropped the mask and ran through to her freedom, knowing it was now or never.

The exit of the mask room suddenly ended, and Helmut was once more falling. At first she didn't scream, but within seconds she was shrieking her little lungs out, even long after she had landed.
On pillows, it turned out.
"Ow!" She yelped as her bone helmut konked her in the head, before bouncing uselessly onto the nearby pillows, creating puffs of glitter and confetti big enough to make her cough.
Well, this was kind of cozy...
Despite the glitter she fell asleep on the cozy pillows, snuggling down into them all to sap what little warmth they had...until another click sounded, echoing into the room. The door opened to blankness, and reminded her what she was doing. Yes. An exam. That was right.
She struggled her way out of the pillow, glitter and confetti, and finally stumbled into the room with the fabled sandwich. One glittery black hand reached out to touch it, and suddenly, she was back where she started, with no Professor in sight.
Plus, she was covered in glitter, and had pieces of confetti clinging to her, well, everything.
"....D-did I do it....?" She asked nobody, because there was no one to ask.
