He smiled and it was with a fond sort of gentleness as his tail was finally out of the picture. The tension could be practically felt ebbing out of him as his posture relaxed, holding her a little closer.
"No. It's very unfortunate. So few creeple in this place know how to really relax. I am not always appreciated, nor are my talents, if you could call them that." He trailed a single claw on his free hand feather lightly down along the curve of her hip. It wasn't contact, he could get away with it surely, he thought.
"Are you the indulgent sort?"

"Now that is just unfortunate." She sounded genuinely put off by the mere notion. Zar was an incubus, she knew where his talents lay, and it made no sense to the ghoul why they would be unappreciated. Of course Merry was a peculiar ghoul. She grew up in a rather unconventional sort of setting, it colored her behavior. Bright eyes twitched down, watching that claw as it traced the air over hr hip, and she brought her gaze up to level on him as he asked his question. "Mm, and impulsive." It kept things interesting.

Zar gave Merry a half-lidded smirk. "It is an absolute tragedy, let me tell you." he said, in his most put-upon tone he could muster. "I am just fading away." He raised a brow at her and across the emotional link he always exerted there was a flicker of curiosity.
"Or was." he said. "Because, you know..." he leaned in close to her, his smile fond but with just a hint of deviousness, lips close to hers. "I'm rather impulsive too."
His tail twined around hers, but only the tip this time, more controlled, more under his control, and he closed the distance between them, pulling her - provided she did not resist - into a deep, passionate kiss all over again.
Only this time he had no votes left to give.

Oh, he seemed much more at ease now. Merry was delighted, matching that half-lidded smile with one of her own, dainty fangs flashing. "That is a tragedy. How ever are you getting by. I can't even imagine." Curiosity from him, intrigue from her. When he leaned in she couldn't help a ghoulish giggle, light and feminine as her hands moved from his arm to rest lightly on his shoulders, so much broader than those she was used to holding. The twine of tails was met with a hum, smile widening in the seconds before he had closed that last inch between them. An encore of the kiss they'd shared at the carnival, but this time there was no vote to bargain with. It made no difference, she kissed him back with all then enthusiasm she'd showed the first time, small hands drifting up the side of his neck to brush over pointed ears and over the base of curling horns.

It was when they kissed that Zar finally seemed to release some portion of the hold he'd been exerting on his abilities, letting Merry feel how acutely interested he was in her in stereo. He also in some small way let her feel the echoes of the sensations her touch elicited from him while deftly seeking out how she felt about it all. After all it wouldn't do to press his luck if she wasn't interested and being what he was, you couldn't afford to make mistakes.
All the while he savored her as much as he dared, skilled and gentle yet simultaneously intense and intoxicating. He could not fly, he could not do a great number of instinctual things, but this, this was his home territory and with Merry there was so much to enjoy. Somewhere in the contact, he had slunk his tail back around her, though far more loosely and dropped them both to the grass to sit, setting her in his lap, freeing his hands up to trail through her hair, across her horns, and when he dared, down to her collarbone and to her perfect body.
He broke the kiss only long enough to ask curiously, his voice a husky whisper as he whispered in her ear. "Are you feeling very indulgent?"

For one that enjoyed silver tongued compliments, the surround of feelings she was picking up from the incubus was both exciting and flattering. It wasn't exactly like being in the other person's mind, but it was closer than she usually got without that sort of intimate bond that took time to form. It was almost dizzying, the sort of rush that could prove overwhelming if not approached carefully. There were reasons Incubi were considered dangerous, and Merry was getting just a small taste of his talents. When his tail came back around to loop in loose coils around her again she didn't so much as flinch. He didn't want her hurt, he just wanted her. She could feel it, or taste it, or some other word for some other sense. Regardless, she knew. The ghoul missed the point where he sank to the ground, realizing it only as her weight was settled and large hands moved up to run through crimson waves and over the gentle sweep of her horns. It drew a purr from the chimera's chest, low and rumbling, and a shiver ran up her spine to send feathers ruffling as he trailed fingers down her sides. His question, warm and rasped against her ear, made her giggle, and he turned her head so full lips brushed his cheek as she answered him. "What did you have in mind?" But he'd hear it in her voice, feel it in her emotions as they washed over him. Curiosity, excitement.

He knew she could feel what he had in mind, one step away from being able to see the many, many things he would like to do with her, given half a chance. It was what he was built for, to sync with others, to meet their pace and give them everything they wanted, to be everything they sought. It was how he got his own satisfaction, pursuing that of others.
"I have so many things in mind." he said, his breathing hitched and shallow. "And so much stamina."
He didn't wait to ask if she was interested, knowing now that she was, instead he swept her up close again and set out to demonstrate rather than tell her, what he wanted.
