OMG I LOVE YOU SAMMY.
Yes, people should watch this video! If anything, just to learn just a smidgen about psychological disorders. One of the most common misconceptions IS about Schizophrenia vs. Multiple Personality (or, as now called, Dissociative Identity Disorder), and the person was right, saying that part of the problem stems from the definition of Schizophrenia, which translates to split mind (give or take). But really, one is about reality, and one has to do with multiple personalities. One involves multiple identities that act a specific way, whereas another one involves a general state of psychosis.
Also, bipolar disorder often involves phases that last months at a time. Some people have this conception that bipolar is this every day mood flux, but actually that's somewhat more rare. People often spend months predominantly in a manic phase or a depressed phase, which may be triggered by different stressors. Medication is also the primary treatment for this disorder, whereas other disorders, such as depression, respond more effectively to behavioral interventions.

Wow I love this so much! (I'm fascinate by psychological disorders and how the mind works I am superterribly sorry if anyone is offended.)
I always try to explain to people that schizophrenia is not having multiple personality disorder, but an inability to separate reality from what isn't real and oftentimes people who have it hear voices or see things that aren't really there.
And I do believe Hank Green was wrong by combining psychopath and sociopath. They are two separate entities.
While people with psychopathy can't form lasting relationships, people with sociopathy have trouble but can definitely have relationships and feel sympathy towards them.

Website 1 has a comparison chart. I feel like it doesn't go enough into the analysis of psychopathy; people with this disorder have almost zero empathy and won't help others who are in pain. People with the disorder also have a tendency to draw attention to themselves and, once they've had their fill of one person, leave them out to dry.

As far as the actual fields are concerned, there is no difference between the two (psychopath and sociopath) and the words are interchangeable.
So, there's that. ^^;

Have you seen the TV show Perception. The main character Dr. Daniel Pierce is a paranoid schizophrenic. They have done their research well. I have my masters in Psychology and it is a wonderful subject.
