The following words were messaged to Agent Jerome and Grunt Adam via Rocket 'Dex one late afternoon:

[Dear recipient,

Please come to the largest rec room on B4 at 6:00 pm sharp. There's something you should see.

- Grunt Nakura]

Jerome didn’t get a lot of social calls; at least he didn’t get them from his dex. Usually it had something to do with work, a new job that he had to run into the woods or into one of the cities.
So when he got one, he lifted it expecting to see a schedule for his next drop, or pick up, what he got instead had been highly unexpected.
The gangster, who had been lounging in his room, watching some form of TV took a few moments to stare at his dex, his lips turning down just enough to alert the pokemon that were out in his room.

“Gar?” Bro inquired, rolling over from where he had been laying his head across Jerome’s torso to take a peek at the dex that he wouldn’t be able to make sense of.

“S’furs.” Jerome replied in answer to the Gengar, who looked surprised as well.

“Who tha?” A smaller voice spoke from the top of the bed, a brighter figure leaning down as well.

“Well-“ Jerome started, pushing himself up to sit up on his bed “looks like ya ganna find out, s’go see what he wants.” He wasn’t exactly thrilled with the idea, but it had been a while since he had even seen or spoken to the grunt who he had used to consider a close friend.

Throwing on some shoes, and a tank top, Jerome left his room to make his way to the third floor where he had been summoned. The Caffe by now was a familiar rout to him.
Bro floating at Jerome’s side, while Tremain lay draped over the dark Agent’s shoulder

It had been a relatively quiet day. After going and doing all assigned work, and even training a bit with Manny and Maki, Adam was left with a surplus of time on his hands. What seemed odd was the fact that, when the grunt returned to his room, Koibto was nowhere to be seen. Had the other done something bad enough to get offed? A plethora of worries began to vine around, squeezing the logic out of the situation, until all that was left to do was sit on his bed and fiddle with his laptop anxiously. Koibito was strong, he would get back he would be fine it’d be okay it’d just be fine just fine just fine. Yes. Just fine. Adam swallowed roughly, and only broke his slight concentration on the laptop when Manny nudged his arm.

“Ly?”

“Sorry I just… Well… It’s that Koibito is gone and you know with everything…” Adam’s voice trailed off as his eyes rested on the empty bed, worrying creasing his brow. Manny looked over and sighed, settling to rest on top of his trainer’s head. There was nothing to do when the other got like this. Eventually, Adam would give up on waiting and go and see what was happening. Or at least he would rattle enough cages to bring out the truth.

PING!

The sharp alarm of the dex cut through Adam’s mind. Grasping it like a lifeline, he greedily devoured the text twice before calming down. Nakura was all right. Now the time spent worrying felt stupid. Adam grumbled and got off the bed, returning Maki to his pokeball, but allowing his partner to float freely behind him. “Ghastly?”

“Guess we’re invited to a party…? I hope he’s not doing something stupid.” That was redundant. Izaya was ALWAYS doing something stupid. It was just the matter if it was stupid enough to get him killed. It wouldn't be for some time, nd now that the worries of life or death were done, Adam's stomach growled to life.

Tsking, Adam left the room and headed for the cafeteria. Might as well grab dinner before going to confront whatever Koibito had in mind.

Izaya had been busy planning this all the previous night in his head. He had been kept busy enough that day so that he hadn't been able to put his plan into action until the end, but during the course of his work shifts, he'd managed to pick up a few necessary items for his plan.

Having gathered everything up together, the informant had carefully laid things out in the rec room, keeping Celty out to guard the door and alert him if anyone was coming. Luckily he managed to finish by the time he had asked the other two to come there in his message.

"I suppose you can stay out," he told his pokemon, sitting crouched in one corner of the room as he tried to stay out of sight. "You glow pretty nicely with these lights. Too bad we don't have any music around, but I don't know if they'll be in a dancing mood." He chuckled lightly. "Wouldn't that be a sight if they did, though?"

Celty, who wasn't sure what her trainer was up to but guessed, as usual, that it wasn't something good, simply shook her head. At least she could greet the other Rockets properly and reassure them that this wasn't as bad a trap as Izaya might have normally set.

She knew he was in too much trouble to do anything drastic like knocking someone out or tying them up or cutting their hair. Besides, if something like that was his intention, this time she wouldn't let him. With a sigh-like whirr, the Spiritomb waited at the center of the room illuminating it softly along with the surrounding blacklights that lined the floor and ceiling.

A brow quirked when Jerome came up to the doorway of the rec-room, usually a brightly lit aria with at least someone inside, was now a doorway leading into complete darkness.
“the ********?” Jerome muttered, pausing before he entered the room to stare into the darkness. “the ******** ‘e up t’” The gangster muttered,

“S’daaaark” Tremain cooed at Jerome’s shoulder as he leaned forward, over the Agent’s shoulder.

After sharing a glance with Bro, the two just shrugged and made their way into the dark room, pausing to glance behind them once they were inside at another form that had seemed to follow them inside.
Half expecting to see Izaya standing there, Jerome was instead eying a young man he had never seen before.
Bro- Who had also turned to look at the other Rocket gave the man a toothy frown, folding his small arms over his chest and floating up beside Jerome in what was probably an instinctually more intimidating manner then he meant… or maybe he did mean it.
Before Jerome could say anything however, the light in the room changed.
It wasn’t exactly normal light though, but Jerome knew instantly what it was, it held and old familiar feel to it.

Where a dark Agent had stood a moment ago now stood a man gleaming in chilling glowing markings.
His face was a skull absent of a lower jaw, the eyes completely blacked out safe for a faint glean of an ill brown.
Though his torso was covered up, the arms at the man’s side were blowing with bones that extended all the way down over his fingers.
The pokemon on him were glowing as well, Though the Gengar usually glowed, he was now even brighter than ever.

“COOOOOL!” The Jirachi burst out in delight, and was suddenly flipping through the air as he looked over his blowing body and dazzling crystal ribbons.

Jerome took a moment to look down at his hands, holding his fist up quietly to study the old hidden markings that he had not seen in so many years.
“Izaya-“ Jerome said in a deep calm voice “What'r ya doin'?”

After dinner meant time for the Rec Room. Adam wasn't sure what was awaiting them, and so he kept Manny out of his ball. The ghost seemed pleased.

What Adam got at the Rec Room was... Well... Not what he was expecting. Or even wanting. His throat constricted as soon as he stepped inside.

A pitch black room. Darkness that suffocated him. Adam hated the dark, more than anything. Nasty thoughts swirled from up below his happy demeanor. Standing in the threshold of the door, Adam could see at the end of door way's casted light was another man... It was hard to tell his rank. He wasn't wearing the typical suit. Adam was in a pair of sweats and a T-shirt, typical "Adam is lounging around" fare.

This dude looked intimidating and the Gengar beside him doubly so. Adam was about to put on his tough-guy facade when a new light source spilled out, washing the room over. It's faint purple tone brought back a mix of relief and excitement. Grinning like a loon, he held out both of his arms. From the shoulders to the fingers, he had anatomically accurate bones tattooed. This included the undersides. Squeezing his fits, Adam marveled at seeing them again. Manny had focused on his trainer, curious at the new display on his skin. It was interesting, but pokemon had different appearances so the ghastly wasn't too impressed. Instead he peered over at the stranger and promptly chirped, "Ghastly!"

Adam looked up and... Well to say he was floored was an understatement. The other dude had transformed. His eyes and face were mesmerizing, around his face was a skull without a jaw. In the light Adam could make out the dreads and piercings. Adam's heart skipped a beat, his breath totally lost at the moment.

Really a floating glowing gengar and an angry looking tattooed man should have kept the wimpy grunt at bay, but instead Adam practically ran closer, a delighted grin stretched over his face, "Holy s**t you're HOT. You must be Jerome. Your Gengar is boss too and oh my god a Jirachi? Damn! That's so ******** cool! OH, this is..." Manny was hanging by the door, shyly attempting to merge in with the background.

"Well that's Manny. But who's Izaya?" Adam turned his gaze back at Jerome, not even attempting to hide his appraising look. Well the person who invited them here was Koibito, right? Adam erupted with pleased laughter, "SO! His name is Izaya huh? I know Koibitoooo's naaaame~"

The grunt who'd sent the invitation watched motionless from behind one of the armchairs in his corner. He didn't even change his expression when the first Rocket and his pokemon showed up despite the displeasure he felt at the sight and sound of the steel-type legenadary. Why did Jerome have to bring that thing? Didn't he know he hated steel-types? Perhaps he'd forgotten. Or didn't care. Or maybe hadn't forgotten and was doing it on purpose.

Whatever the reason was, Izaya didn't have much time to ponder on because Adam and his Gastly entered right after the agent. If the grunt had expected a particular look on the face of his roommate, it wasn't what he saw. What expression was that? He couldn't quite place it because he wasn't sure he'd ever seen it on Adam's features before. That, and it was quite dark to make out, even for someone who'd had time for their eyes to adjust to the darkness.

In a few moments, though, the lights were on and the look was gone. Adam was back to the usual grinning self Izaya was used to, seemingly enchanted by the effect of the blacklights as if he were a child. The red-eyed grunt made note of both other Rocket's reactions as well as the details of their blacklight skeleton tattoos. They did look rather stunning in a dramatic way, especially together. From what he could see of their faces, Izaya doubted either of them had gotten a chance to properly view their own inks in quite some time.

Adam seemed to react to the other's similar appearance first. The first words out of his mouth almost made his roommate want to laugh, but instead he managed to refrain, grin, and kept his amusement to himself. At least until Jerome called him out - and by name, no less. Like a child being chastised with their full name, the black-haired grunt didn't take that as a good sign.

"Ehhhhh? I thought that name was too tough for you to remember, Jerry-kun. What happened to our exchange of cute pet names?" he asked, standing and holding out his arms with a forlorn smile. To Adam, his eyebrows narrowed and his smile hardened, but didn't disappear. His sing-song tone continued as he asked, "Why would you think that's my name? Didn't I already tell you it's Nakura? He's probably talking to his glittering Christmas tree decoration." He pointed a ringed index finger up to the excited Jirachi.

In the calm of the dim room Jerome had not expected to suddenly be rushed on, the taller blond approaching him and very openly expressing his awe toward Jerome and his pokemon. Well, Jerome couldn't really recall the last time he had been called hot, let alone by a guy. It didn't seem to bother him either way, though he did continue to stare at this unknown male with widened eyes.
Of course he noticed the growing markings on the man's own arms, in response through the man's rambling Jerome calmly held a fist out toward the guy
"Yo man, Y'got good taste."

"Motha' ********' I been callin' y'by name f'years, don't go akin' so surprised." Jerome snorted in response to Izaya who seemed to have been hiding his name from this other Rocket. why? He had no idea, but it sounded like a very Izaya thing to do.

Tremain blinked when Izaya pointed at him, the large blue eyes shimering slightly as they widened and he too pointed to himself with a questioning look. "Yo b***h ya watch it." The Little voice snapped "The Name's Tremain- Ya got that? Tremain."

Jerome snorted lightly at Tremain standing up for himself, glancing over at Adam "S'guy got more names then I go Tattoos." He said with a nod toward Izaya.

Adam's toothy grinned extended as he bumped his own skeleton fist against Jerome's. Well this had been a very fun and productive evening, and it had just started! The grunt felt like bouncing around or dancing, but kept the excitement reigned in and calmed down.

Having grown up as he did, he appreciated Jerome's frankness and relaxed considerably. The Jirachi was a riot too, "That's so cool... I kind of want a glowing Gengar now." Adam muttered gently.

"Ly?" Manny floated right behind, seeming hurt by the desire for a new ghost. A cooler ghost no less.

Turning, he brushed a hand over Manny and smiled, "You're still awesome, though. Don't get me wrong." Whatever worries the ghastly had disappeared with a sigh of relief.

"Hmm?" Names, right. Too much was happening and Adam suspected this was why they had pegged him with ADHD in school. "Really? Makes sense with being an info person." Adam shuffled the fact away in a new bin called "Izaya/Roommate". It would be good to keep things organized. This was Jerome who had been Izaya's roommate, Adam thought. I can learn a lot from him.

Of course, Adam's one track mind continued to blaze forward. Looking at Jerome, he asked, "Do you drink?"
