Hadaya is, generally, a very sweet little beast. He is as awkward as they come, but he’s not technically shy. In fact, he doesn’t mind talking to others, or trying to make friends. His problems come from the fact that he is socially graceless. For some reason, whenever he tries something he manages to make it as awkward, uncomfortable, silly or all of the above as possible. And always completely by accident. He’s clumsy and slow to react to things, a bit slow on the uptake as well, and mostly misses jokes and sarcasm the first time by. He does try to be nice, to be ‘normal’. But that, he’ll learn in time, his an empty word and a useless effort: there is no normal, no standard.
He’s a loyal friend and has a protective, defensive streak in him, and will feign more courage and strength than he really thinks he has in honor of his friends. He likes to hang out with others, as stated above, even if it is difficult for him sometimes and he is constantly embarrassed. He also loves the culture of Knights, and tries to live by his own adaptation and understanding of the history he feels so close to. Hadaya believes himself to be a descendant of an ancient monster known in Arthurian legend as a Griffin. This beast was known to be magical in origin, created to test the mettle of Knights, and to defend its land and whatever Sorcerer was powerful enough to tame it. As far as Hadaya is concerned, this is why he has his beast form, part lion, part eagle. And this is also why he wants to learn as much as he can about Griffins, as he doesn’t actually know his heritage.
Hadaya has been an orphan for his whole life, and no one seemed to know his parents. Not atypical, really, and he was often told not to bother looking for them. And he doesn’t. He just wants to know more about who he is, what he is, and without a parent to tell him he feels a bit lost.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy?
On top of learning more about his FEAR, about himself, and perhaps the hopes of coming out of his shell a bit more by being surrounded by others in a similar state of learning as him, Hadaya is also hopeful to find someone versed in History, and who might be able to tell him more about Griffins. Or someone similar to himself, to learn from, and follow. The orphanage gave him a few options for his young teenage life, which included finding a permanent family, which hadn’t happened yet, keeping a job at the orphanage, or going to get an education. He chose the lattermost, for the opportunities it afforded him.

His roar gives him a boost to his strength so he can use a more ferocious attack.

Intimidation Factor: Griffins from Hadaya's clan have feather ruffs around their neck that can be fluffed up to make them look larger/more imposing when a boost of much needed confidence is needed.
