Mornings? Okay. Not the worst thing to ever happen. Early mornings? No. Not okay. Aija usually got up early, but to start her morning work out and to get her hair untangled and ready for the day's work. Maybe it was because she didn't have time for her usual morning run to wake her up, or maybe it was just stupidly early; either way, Aija headed to the room she and other people from her department were meeting up with the transport department people.

In order to be on time, Aija had to forgo a decent braid today; curly pink strands fell out of the grunt hat she'd hastily pulled over her mess of hair. It'd have to do... Aija put on her most cheerful smile and tried to look awake and attentive, regardless, as she took a place near the back of the room. She chatted quietly to the people she knew, hoping if she faked being awake it'd get her there sooner, and waited for the head honchos to come in and start the debriefing. As more people from transportation came in, she took to doodling aimlessly in her journal; she'd take notes when the time came. For now? Messy squiggles and a lopsided bear. What could she say? It was too early for even her to be social with people she didn't know.

Cargo was their normal job, it was when they were usually assigned to carry, but it wasn’t unheard of for Jerome’s team to transport people. Jerome was usually the one put in charge of that, and depending on the danger of the mission he would bring along a few of his assigned grunts.
Not too long ago he had been approached by another Agent, one that introduced himself as Bishop, a man taller them himself with slicked back black hair and a piercing kind of look to him, saying that he was an Intel Agent who was assigned his own team of Grunts for training. The offer that continued this explanation was a request to train together with one of the transportation teams, in those cases when a transport for the operatives would need to be delivered and picked up.

And that’s exactly how Jerome’s team of transporters ended up in a training room with a group of grunts from the intelligence department.
Jerome lead the group, the leaner man, dressed in his white Agent uniform, dreadlocks loose and draping over one side of his head, though with a somewhat mellow stride he walked through the room, and toward the other Agent to greet him and check his grunts in.

Behind Jerome, a small group of Grunts followed, peering around at the other grunts as they entered, a dark haired Asian with a round face and intrigued features, just in front of him a small overly thin women with a withdrawn demeanor stood among the men, and the last two were faces Aija would probably recognize.
The shorter form of a blond, standing next to the man with sharp yellow eyes and slicked back light brown hair,
Kyle examined the room with little interest and a measure of contempt. He wasn’t usually happy with transporting people, they talked too much for him, and unlike the cargo they carried. And white he had gotten used to the chatter of the team he drive with, he wasn’t so much looking forward to a whole group of intelligence grunts.
The deep frown set over his face only grew as his eyes settled on a figure that he recognized within the new faces.
“… Great.”

Aija looked over the newcomers as they entered, her face solemn(and tired) as she made notes on all of them, something she'd add to her journal later. One, the Agent, she'd seen around before; two she hadn't seen before, so she took a good look and made a mental note to catch their names before the meeting end, and the last two...

It took a lot of energy not to sigh. Sure, she'd... kind of patched things up, with the taller one. Kyle. She turned away, not needing to look over Kyle and Ryan, and rubbed her eyes in an attempt to get more focused before the meeting began. After a brief mental prep, Aija gave a small wave to the familiar duo; no grin, just a sign she recognized them. Anything more and her fellow grunts would start asking questions.

... Regardless, they started asking questions. A boy with messy brunette hair and a rumpled uniform leaned in a cupped a hand next to Aija's ear. "Friends? Boyfriend? Oh, rivals, even?" He asked quietly, getting a shove in response, snickering quietly. Aija rolled her eyes. She was glad most of the grunts she'd met in intel were observant, it was kind of a job trait; but it was annoying in the morning.

"Obviously, co-workers," she muttered under her breath, but didn't miss a few on her team giving the transport teams the same thorough once over as well. Finally, Aija gave a smile in Ryan and Kyle's direction, hoping it was diplomatic enough, and casually gestured to the empty seats on one side of her.

The team of transporter grunts stood among each other a few feet from the Agent who to anyone in this room would be able to tell was in charge of them. Though the dark skinned Agent was currently conversing with the Agent that the Intel grunts would all still recognize as one of their own trainers.

Kyle, who had noticed the gesture from the pink haired grunt frowned lightly, making no move to walk over and sit down at the offered seat. Even Ryan didn't seem to be particularly eager to let Kyle go over to where that girl was gesturing, probably remembering the last time they had met.
It wasn't until Jerome turned and walked back to the group, making a gesture for them to go sit down did Kyle noticed that there wasn't really anywhere else to sit BUT the row the girl was gesturing to.

Arms crossing over his chest Kyle eyed the girl as he stepped over to the seat, moving to take a seat. "What are you doing here?"

Aija rose a brow at the question, taking a second longer than usual to find her words. English was so hard to speak in the morning. Once her retort was made up, she gave a small smile, "Same as you, yes? Am Intelligence, uh...person." And there was a reason she tried to get to know everyone the best she could; never knew who you'd end up having to work with. Not that Kyle was her best success story... but, she tried. "We will be working together?" She asked, slower than usual so he could hopefully understand her, her accent a touch stronger.

Aija folder her hands and rested her chin on them, pretending she was alert and paying attention to whatever was about to begin. In reality she was holding her own head up, letting a bit of hair fall forward and hide her eyes.

Kyle furrowed his brow, he honestly would have never guessed that she was part of intelligence, little teenage like this?
"Jerome was saying something about training with you guys." He explained, though not sounding to thrilled with it "Don't know why, we're goods transporters."

She nodded, wondering why he had that look on his face. Was he doubting her? Or her abilities? Rude! Maybe he was too tired to recognize her abilities. Or something. Whatever. Too early to put much thought into it. "This means, we are goods. Or just good. Good at job!" She joked, tacking on a quiet laugh. "We need transport to get places, duh. Why train us to drive things we have you driving people already?" She asked with a vague wave of her hand at the transporters.

The string of logic that lead to what he suspected was her form of a joke, the laugh that followed proved his assumption though he did not return a laugh himself, instead he fixed her with a dull unamused stare.
Ryan at least gave a sympathetic smile, though it might have had more to do with Kyle's dismissive response more than anything.

"The goods we transport don't really talk, I think that's a bonus" Kyle sighed turning to face front again.

"The rest of us do." Ryan pointed out.

"So now the team and the goods talk-"
folding his arms the man leaned his back further against the seat, glancing from the tiny Intel Grunt back around the group. He recognized a couple other teams from transport, along with their leading Agents.
Jerome was still standing at the end of their line, the shorter dark skinned man crossing his arms and conversing with one of the other agents as they seemed to be discussing and dividing up the teams.

"looks like we're getting our assignments now." Kyle muttered, though that reall went without saying as the Agent called Bishop walked up to Jerome and the other Agents.

"Agent Jerome, you'll be taking this team here." A gesture indicated the people that Kyle and the rest were sitting by. "Here are the assignment papers, you just take care of that, once you reach your destination I can take over from there with more instructions."

Jerome nodded, "Aight-"

Kyle's frown deepened.

Aija shrugged off the unamused response to her joke. After very briefly sticking her tongue out at Kyle, she faced the front again with her chin cupped in her hands. She listened closely as Bishop spoke with who she inferred was Agent Jerome, then blinked a few times. Was she... really getting put in a group with Kyle's team?

Fate was twisted.

Aija glanced at Kyle with a raised brow, speaking quietly, "Pardon my English, am I understanding right? We-" she gestured to the rest of the grunts on her team, "Are with you?" And then she gestured to the people around Kyle. If she was hearing right... Aija wasn't sure how it would work out; sure, she'd managed to smooth things over with her last encounter with Kyle, but that didn't mean their personalities would cooperate later on. It'd be more of a challenge than she'd hoped for- and she didn't know the rest of his team! Were they just as... cranky? Aija glanced at the people around Kyle, trying to get even the smallest impression from all of them.

For one reason of the other Kyle just didn't look enthusiastic about any of this, but as Jerome got his team up and started assigning them each a number of four Intel Grunts, The man stood and without complaint to the higher ranking officer took his and Ryan's assignment sheet that included directions and the people they would be taking with them.

the others on the team got their own cars, but it went without saying that Kyle and Ryan would be working one car together, this of course was becasue they were partners.
One of the Grunts in their car was of course a Grunt Aija.
Kyle looked up from the paper, his sharp yellow eyes fixing on Aija "Yeah, you've with us, all that means is that there won't be any screw ups, got it? I ******** hate stupid screw ups."

"I do not do stupid screw ups," Aija said curtly, pursing her lips. She had another few words to say, but she already had just about the least amount of seniority in her own intel group. The transport team obviously had more seniority than her, and she'd already experienced Kyle's temper; she'd wait until it wasn't so early to test fate.

Aija reached up and made sure her hair was contained safely in her hat, and looked at Kyle and Ryan. "Am I only one who gets this warning? You will not go easy on my team people, yes?" She asked, a forced sweet tone in her voice in an attempt to sound amiable.
