This sort of early spring morning was exactly the sort of morning that Fog Flower was most fond of. It was brisk and there was fog rising from the earth of the swamp around her. She peered about in the tall grass, with Doom circling above her, and Gloom resting comfortably between her shoulders. The sun had not yet begun to peek over the horizon, and it was a strange yellow-gray light that was cast upon the lands.

Perfect...absolutely perfect... she thought to herself as she took up her slow amble again through the grass. Her bright, emerald eyes were set forward as she sauntered along. Fog had always been slow at most things; slow to walk, slow to talk, slow to trust...though really she was quite bright, but her inverted-ness was quite evident no matter what. It was never really a problem for her to go through life slow and steady, for she enjoyed observing quietly and learning from afar anyhow.

A quiet hum came from her as she moved gracefully through the grass, like the fog itself, and she blended in with the nature around her near-perfectly. Doom gave a small shrill from high above her, and she paused for a moment to gaze up at him again. The slight breeze teased her brushed back locks a little, and she closed her eyes to the sky and took a deep breath.

                          Ah yes.

Winter was leaving his little home, and starting to subside in to spring again. In fact, he was already finding little flowers springing up here and there, underfoot and trying to grow. This was not usually an issue for Freezing, but he was just such a wintery of kin. Alas and alack, he would get over it, make sure they grew in a perfect line, so that he would not trample them, and enjoy the year for what it would become.

Sighing softly in to the swamp, his breath curled around his muzzle, reaching for the sky with it's tendrils, as he wandered slowly towards whatever the day would bring him. Honestly, he expected very little, as usual - he wasn't the kind of kin who searched out for others, having found his own little home easily, (which, he was constantly reminded, was unbecoming of an acha.)

It wasn't until he head the noise of something over him though, that he faltered, bright orange eyes searching the sky. Nothing. Well, no, nothing was not the right answer, because he recognized the sound of beating wings, making the acha tilt his head.

"Has someone come in to my domain?" He called out, his voice being blanketed by the fog easily. Unused and soft, he sometimes was confused by his own words, but for now, something else confused him further. He stepped further in to the fog, to find whom had found him.

Fog squinted toward what she knew to be the voice of another. They were quiet words, but words, nonetheless. Well, it hadn't been particularly expected, but she knew the swamp was full of life, so it wasn't entirely surprising, either. Perhaps that's what Doom had called down for. Though if it had been any cause for concern, she was sure he would have came down and alerted her further.

She could see the vague shape of another, and although usually she was incredibly shy, something made her feel safe enough to continue on a little closer. It was likely the fog, she felt so at home in it and she was in her element. Not in her own home, no, she had taken a wander and hadn't been back in a while, but she trusted her friends that went everywhere with her, and so she felt at home even when she was not.

Whatever was there didn't sound too threatening, and since she faded into the foggy spring morning so well, she was sure to be able to hide, or at least slip away hopefully unnoticed if it were. Closer still she moved, her slow and graceful gait brought an acha to better view.

The doe stopped now, tilting her head curiously at the other, and Doom swept down toward her, circling lower now, and then settling on a bush near her, but nearer the other.

Fog Flower had ceased her humming as she had moved closer, and she stood silent, staring, her tail brushing lightly side to side. Her bright eyes were trained on the acha as she watched him moving through the long grasses and the fog. She never meant to surprise or startle others, but words came so rare by her, that she never really felt obligated to announce herself.
