I have heard people who call themselves Christians who have said the same thing more or less. That we should not let our life be dictated by something written by a people living in a society so vastly different than us. We should be praying that people who call themselves by His name should start taking His word seriously again. Without it there is a c***k in the armor.

Yes...We must not retaliate with hatred, but prayer. Although we do still need to speak up when/if the time comes.
