Princess Annalise Corinthos
Annalise's nose wrinkled at the dragon's question. The use of the word 'mate' was understandable, given the fact that he was a dragon and she was not. But it still made her skin crawl. That might as well have been what you called the prince or lord she'd be married off to. It didn't feel like love, that was for sure. But then again, now she didn't even have a chance to find out. The dragon's other questions made her face grow warm. She had always wanted children, but to presume that was the only reason she was to get married was both insulting and embarrassing. Being a princess was not all fun and games, certainly.
She opened her mouth to reply, but was cut off by a roar from somewhere in the sky behind him. Quickly, she got to her feet. She wanted to say something, anything, but she was too petrified to do so. So she obeyed her new dragon companion and ran inside the cave, hiding among the shadows. Her heart was racing, but she willed herself not to faint like a miserable maiden again. While inside the cave, she tore off her corset and other layers of ensemble until she was wearing nothing but her underwear and slip. It wasn't ladylike, but it was certainly more sensible than what she had on before. And she figured dragons wouldn't care anyway. She could hear the other dragon coming closer and she slid further into the cave, shivering.

Caelum Venator
Seeing the princess obeying his command, he made sure she was deep enough in the cave, then stood by it's entrance, both blocking any sight into it, and preventing her from coming out. He looked back at Ignis, who was nearly at his cliff. When the red dragon landed, he looked smug. "You're back very early, Ignis." Caelum stated calmly as his fellow hatchling came to meet him.
"Indeed I am. I had done the some studying and therefore my endeavor was easy. Would you like to know what got?" Ignis bragged.
"Perhaps you should save it for the ceremony in two days." Caelum responded, not amused. Ignis frowned, narrowing his eyes. He obviously thought his find was rather important. Caelum had insulted him, however slight. Perhaps now he would leave.
Ignis was thinking of a comeback when an unusual smell caught his attention. Caelum saw the interest in his face as his black tongue flicked out of his ruby lips. Caelum widened his wings and flapped softly, trying to cover up the smell, but it was too late. "What did you get White one? It smells funny." Ignis tried to crane his neck and look into the cave, but was blocked by a white wing.
"Like I said, you'll have to wait for the ceremony." Caelum said, more forcibly. "Don't want to spoil the surprise. Besides, it probably pales in comparison to your find." He said, stroking the larger dragon's ego. Maybe it would get him to drop it.
Ignis smiled smugly, "You're right. It would pale in comparison, much like it's discoverer." He stopped trying to see into the cave and turned to leave. "You'll be blown away when the ceremony comes. Everyone will be, and I'll have the highest rank out of our brood. Just watch. He leaped into the air and took off for his own cave. Caelum sighed deeply as he watched his brother glide away, until he was no longer in sight, then turned to poke his head into the cave to see where his human had gone.

Princess Annalise Corinthos
Annalise remained perfectly quiet as the other dragon approached and began talking. An uncomfortable chill crept up her spine as the dragons conversed; their voices made her nervous, as she could not tell where they were coming from. They were deep of course, and at least the dragon that had captured her was a bit more gentle. The other one sounded smug and sinister, and she had experienced her fair share of smug and sinister nobles back home. To think that some dragons were also like that seemed almost ridiculous. Out of nervousness and fear, she backed up deeper into the cave, until her foot hit something hard and crunchy. She winced, assuming it was probably bones of some kind.
It was a moment or two before she could hear the other dragon finally leave, and she exhaled a breath she'd been holding in for a while. When she saw the dragon's white face, she jumped in surprise, then laughed a little bit. "Well, he sounded like quite the charmer," she joked sarcastically, shifting uncomfortably in the shadows. She moved towards him tentatively, still unsure of it all.
