It is the year 2035 and Earth has become over populated to the point that governments decided to look to the stars and find a new planet to call home. The scientist sent out probes to search other galaxies for a planet similar to that of earth. After about a year of searching, they found a planet that they called Tanis. They decided to send a ship to that planet to start a colonization project to spread out in the universe.
Tanis's terrain is similar to that of Earths but a difference is that the days are longer than that of Earth's. A single day on Tanis would equal to 72 hours [3 days] and a night is eaual to 24 hours [1 day]. During the day, Tanis is usually safe, more herbivore like creatures that resembled dinosaurs which sometimes tried to attack the wall only to try getting territory and what not. During nighttime hours, herbivore's seem to disappear into their caves and such, as the carnivores and nighttime dinosaur like creatures come out.
When the first attempt at colonization arrived at Tanis, they were able to start a camp and begin the colonization process. They made a daily report back to Earth but on the 3rd report, the sun had begun to set and the colonization group was attacked by the deadly predators that resided on Tanis. The communication was sent through to Earth and they started work on a second attempt of colonization but it would take another four years before they could leave earth again.
During the four years of this time, a new industry stormed out of the dark and came out with a new type of technology. An industry called E.D.N Industries was created by a Thomas Sukia. This industry came out with mechs that were first used as a way for industrial zones to carry large containers with ease.
The colonization project went to E.D.N. Industries and asked for them to help create a type of mechs that could be used to help protect the next set of people that will try and colonize Tanis. Thomas agreed and started working on Mechs that could be used as sentries or guards as well as the industry mechs.
After the four years of the preparation for the second colonization attempt on Tanis, the governments of Earth sent a few more ships to the planet Tanis. One of the ships had a base ready to drop and set up the first buildings of the new colony on Tanis. One of the ships held the Mechs that would help in the set up of the colony while a few of the mechs are being piloted by trained guards that were trained three and a half of the four years of preparation. These Guard Mechs were designed to the specific pilot to allow for better usage.
The new colonization fleet landed on the surface of Tanis in the year 2040. The new colonization project was able to set up a base that had several defenses to keep the planet's night dwelling predators at bay for several years. The guards patrolled around the base during the night times and were the human element in protecting the small colony.
The new ship arrives to the planet, coming close to its orbit where it goes close to a tall thin structure. It stretched out from the planet surface out into the dark space, a space elevator. The elevator begins to take down the cargo on the lower floors but the upper level of the elevator allowed the new colonials to travel down to their new home after a long cryosleep. The new colonists consist of shop owners, normal civilians and maybe a few new mech pilots.
