The thought almost made him laugh. The man asked her something and the princess indicated Varick. When the song ended, the crowd applauded and Princess Caroline rejoined him. "What did that man ask you?" Varick inquired, leading her away from the noise of the square. "I am sure there are many who would appreciate your kindness." He remarked. Kilam was full of the poor, many of whom had lost their pride long ago. Receiving a handout from a stranger, a fellow commoner, would be a grateful and welcome surprise. He thought a moment, surveying the town in his mind. 'There are no full-time bookstores, but we might be able to purchase a book back at the tavern. As for bakeries and a kiln, I know Kilam had one baker and one potter. We might be able to persuade the potter to allow you use of his materials." Varick turned and began leading her down the street in the direction of the shops. They were relatively close to one another, near the mines of the far side of town. "With time off?" He responded with a laugh. "I look for a day work. If I am burdened with too much time and no work to be done, I read and study maps." The princesses curiosity seemed to know no bounds. Everything was new and exciting and she was desperate to learn. ◀ ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ±

Caroline Grace I only wanna die alive (◡_◡) (◕-◕) (◕o◕) (∩_∩)
Caroline waited for Varick to answer her. She looked around as he did. She was more then taken back by what excitement there is out on the outskirts. She heard his voice and she looked over at him. "Oh, he had asked if I was here with anyone. I pointed at you and then he left after thanking me for the dance." She told Varick. She didn't understand why he would do that, unless he thought he didn't have a chance with Caroline because she was there with someone, or maybe he needed to go. She walked away with him to the pot that he stopped away from the noise. she liked this spot, she could still hear the music, but now she could talk to him without talking loudly. When he had answered her question about who would appreciate her giving out stuff to help them, she smiled. She could make a change out here and give them some hope to be able to live a better life. She just wanted them to know the royal family caed about them. Well at least the princess cared for them. Even though they wouldn't know it was her giving it out, soon they will know that it was her that wanted to help the people.
She asked him the questions about the bookstore, bakery, and the poetry places and she waited patiently for him to answer. He honestly knew more then she thought he had known. She nodded her head at what he had said and she started to follow him when he started walking. "Well, I just want to look at books. I don't want to buy any, maybe read a page or two." She said as a smile came to her face. She did enjoy reading, but back at the castle, they were all the say type of books. The books that consisted of laws and what not. She honestly didn't want to read about any of that and it bored her. Hopefully they would be able to persuade the potter to let her use his materials. "Maybe I could tell him that I am the princess. If he could keep a secret. I can pay him as well. I know that if I pay them that they will be grateful for the money." She smiled. She will actually be able to do something good for once in her life. As they're walking, she heard him answer her question about what he did when he had off time. "So you know everything about the areas? Thats cool. Maybe one day you could help me with the territories. Well if you know the territories. One day I will be passed the crown and I will need to know where each town is with the kingdom and if you study maps, you may know where they all are." She said to him. "If you do not wish to, you do not have to." She quickly added onto what she she has said. She didn't want him to think she was forcing him to do what she wanted him to do. am not trying to make you tell me anything you do not wish to. I am sorry if I am prying into your life. I find other peoples stories fascinating. You must be able to tell that I do not come into contact much with other people." She said embarrassed.

The maiden's veil, while proficient in covering your face, does proclaim you are seeking a husband." The streets they took were mostly empty. Because they had been expecting the princess, the mine was closet but most people were spending the free day with friends and family. "You enjoy reading?" He asked, glancing over at her. Normally, he would not be so conversational with a charge, but he was curious they must not look suspicious. He chuckled, shaking his head. "You are too trusting. Your identity is a weapon that can be used against you. Choose wisely who you share that weapon with." Princess Caroline chattered excitedly about maps and territories, her eagerness for knowledge brimming over. "Maps are a specialty of mine. I should be honored to share that with you." He wasn't sure how her father would feel about him teaching her anything, but hadn't he already violated the King's trust? "I don't imagine your father keeps you well acquainted with many people." There was much risk in exposing the princess to anyone. As the heir to the throne, the less people she had contact with, the less potential assassins were introduced to the future queen.◀ ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ±

Caroline Grace I only wanna die alive (◡_◡) (◕-◕) (◕o◕) (∩_∩)
Caroline's mouth opened slightly when he had mentioned that the vail over the face meant that she was seeking a husband. "I am not seeking one. My parents are seeking one for me and I do not like it." She confessed. She hated the idea of her parents picking who she was going to marry and she wasn't going to have any chance in the matter to agree or disagree with her parents. She thought with how much her parents loved her, they would let her be happy and pick who she would help rule the kingdom with and spend the rest of her life with. Caroline was happy that all the streets they went down were mainly empty. She liked that there wasn't many people that could by accident tell who she was. When he had asked if she enjoyed reading, she nodded her head eagerly. "I love reading. That is what I usually do when I am not out of the castle trying to get away from that life. The castle has a few books that aren't about the laws of the kingdom. I have read them all numerous times and I am actually starting to want new ones. My parents would never allow it because they do not want their daughter filling her head with pointless adventure and imagination." She spoke in a tone that portrayed her father. As she had said that, she stopped walking and stuck her chest out to imitate her father.
When he chuckled at her, she looked over at him and furrowed her eyebrows. "Well, are you not supposed to trust people? I know that being who I am can be a target, but would you not want to be able to walk around without being recognized. Do not get my wrong. I do not wish to use my title as a way to get things, but I wish I could walk around without the vail. If I tell the pottery man, then I could take the vail off. But I do see where you are coming from. You are guarding me from people who want to kill me." She told him sadly. She just wanted to be able to leave the castle and walk freely around the land. She smiled when she had heard he would be honored to share his knowledge about maps with her. "I know that my father would not allow that in the castle, but I do come out like this quite a lot by myself. Maybe on the next trip, you can show me your knowledge for the land." She smiled as she looked over at him. She was beyond eager to see what he actually knew about the kingdom. "My father likes to keep me away from the people. Even if they are royals from other kingdoms. He doesn't like to let me see them. He probably thinks I will not behave to his liking. I mean I hardly behave the way he wants me to, but that is because he drowns me in his rules." She said as she noticed they were in from of the pottery store. "Maybe I could give you a pop quiz about the kingdom. I do not know that much, but I can still ask you some. How many towns are there in our kingdom?" She asked intrigued. She didn't know the answer, she just wanted to hear how many her parents have to take care of. "Also, do you know how many are poor towns like Kilam?" She wanted to know how many she wanted to help in the future. She knew that the number was going to be a lot and that was because her parents never send money out to the outskirts to help clean up the falling apart buildings or help the people that line the streets as their homes. As she was standing there, she looked around and noticed that the bakery was near them as well. In a small town, everything must be around each other, like a little shopping area. Back at the castle grounds and the city that was attached to the castle, most of the shops were spread out, but since this town wasn't as well out as the town apart of the castle because her parents gave more attention to them. They had to look at that town everyday they looked out the window.

☩Ѵarick Шarren ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± ▶Her thirst for knowledge was admirable. He wondered why the King did not provide her with more chances to learn. Surely a knowledgeable queen was more useful than an ignorant one. He thought for a moment, recalling the information. "If you include small hamlets and farming communities, there are 257. Your father has expanded our lands greatly in his time." When she asked about poor towns, his mind went to Gyntaurn. It was near a fort and that was the basis of their economy. "Poverty is hard to judge. Most of the population lives on well below 10 gold a month. But I believe I understand you. Towns like Kilam, those where more than half of the people are extremely poor, make up around 120 of our total cities." The square where the bakery and the potter's shop lay was mostly empty. Puffs of gray smoke flowed from the potter's chimney and the air smelled of a combination of yeast and mud. ◀ ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ±

Majoring_In_Fangirl You can skip to something that you want. Maybe something interesting. Caroline Grace I only wanna die alive (◡_◡) (◕-◕) (◕o◕) (∩_∩)
Caroline nodded her head to him. She didn't like the number that he had said was how many towns had poor people in them like this town. She would fix that number when he got older and was able to do something about it. Right now she wouldn't be able to did it, but some day she will do it. She looked around and found the door to the pottery shop. She walked towards the door, happy that she may be able to make something. When she reached the door, she reached her arms out and grabbed a hold of the knob with her hand. Twisting her hand, she pushed the door open and walked into the tiny shop. When she entered, she looked around and noticed that no one was in there, except for a elderly man. When he heard the door open, he looked up and Caroline smiled at that man. "Good morning, sir." She said as she walked further into the shop. He nodded his head in reply to her. "I was wondering if I could make something with clay? I have always wanted to make something." She asked the mom hoping that he would say it was okay. The elderly man shook his head no. "Sorry my dear, but I am tight this month and I do not have enough supply to let you make something for free." He told her. "But I can give you money for the pottery." She told him. She reached her hand into her pocket and pulled out two coins. She put her hand up and showed him her coins. "Will this do?" She asked him hoping that it will be.
