"Well I must admit I don't know the ins and outs of the department but," KO shrugged, "in essence those who work for espionage are spies while infiltration specialise in getting into places undetected, perhaps to gather information or to liberate something else of value to Team Rocket. I'm sure there's a lot more to it than that but I couldn't speak for the details. And yes," he nodded, "so long as you're not blatantly unsuitable for a role the choice is yours, I've never heard of anyone just being assigned to a department unless they had no idea what they wanted to do at all. I suppose job satisfaction encourages hard work from the higher ups point of view."

Sync made a thoughtful noise as KO explained but otherwise didn't comment for the moment. Instead, he finished his current table and moved on to the next, where someone had kindly left their used tray and variety of trash on the table for him to clean up. Clearly they'd never been a trainee - or at least hadn't had to clean the cafeteria. Or perhaps they had, and were just spiteful human beings. Not bothering to debate which it was, the trainee gathered up the trash and swiftly deposited it in the garbage bin nearby.

"Makes sense," he said finally with a light smirk. "People are less inclined to work hard at something they dislike." He'd known that quite well firsthand, working for his parents back in Grande Ile, and, well, that hadn't ended well, mostly due to his almost absent work ethic. Infiltration though, now that sounded interesting... Rather than choosing the polite route and asking the grunt about his department and his work like a thoughtful, friendly trainee, Sync opted for the more inconsiderate route and asked instead, "Where would I find more details?"

Well wasn't he just the perfect charmer? Clearly 'getting along with people' wasn't among the trainee's skills any more than pokemon training was. "Very true," KO drawled in response, internally debating making a snide comment about how some people didn't take interest in anything beyond the end of their own nose but eventually deciding against it because - again - it would probably lead to effort he didn't feel like making tonight.

"And there's information about all the departments on the Intranet, there's a link off the homepage to each of them and contact details to request more in depth information or to join up with the department." There, see, wasn't he just a kind a giving soul?

Friendliness and courtesy were so far down on Sync's list of skills that they were almost nonexistent. As if to demonstrate this distinct lack of social tact, he merely nodded once and offered a casual "all right" to KO's helpful information as he continued his work, not even bothering to look up at the grunt. At the very least KO needn't worry about any further questions about how to access the page he'd mentioned; luckily Sync knew how to get there and would be able to find the information he sought with little trouble.

KO's eyebrows rose slightly but that was the only external sign of the internally uttered 'rude'. Well he was done eating anyway, no reason to linger. "Well best of luck then," KO said, getting to his feet and clearing his things together. "I expect I'll see you around." And then, because he couldn't quite resist, as he walked away he said; "Enjoy the rest of your shift!" with every sign of sincerity.

A vague smirk and a rather unenthused "yeah, see you" were his only external reactions to KO's departure. Inwardly he was very briefly glad that the grunt at least had the decency to clean up after himself, but the thought passed almost as quickly as it came, and the trainee continued his cleaning.
