"I... I, um, don't think I've ever heard the story. It sounds kind of familiar though." Tambrey offered, because, well, it did, but she was sure she hadn't heard it before; it was a sort of 'fairy tale' familiarity, finding aspects in the story that she recognized.

"So. Uh. Where is Asgard? Um. If we're going to ask him to bring it back... we, um, need him to be here to do so..." That, and despite the bird-fish's size and legendary status, Tambrey found herself a little concerned about him all the same. "Should I ask Pygi to take, um, a sweep out over the water? He's pretty big..." So he might be easy to spot, was her thinking.

<< No surrender!>> Franklin informed the Stag-beetle pokémon, with a little puff from the effort as she tried to pull sections of sand out of the way of the water once more, still waving her spade like a sword.

Ella glanced at the Absol, hearing some of the annoyance in her tone, but didn't comment on it, choosing to look back out to sea.

"Yeah, Pygi might be able to spot him," Aulus agreed with a nod. He then frowned thoughtfully. "So what's the range of psychic speech anyway? Could Franklin reach him do you think?" If she could be diverted from trying to save her kingdom.

After some moments of stillness and thought Thanatos started to spray a gentle stream of water from one outstretched palm over the Sharpeado. <> he explained with a gesture to the shark and a tap to the sand beneath his feet with his free hand; though there was nobody nearby to translate directly he trusted that Aulus knew him well enough to understand the intent.

Aulus watched Thanatos in confusion for a few moments, wondering if this was another ritual. When the amphibian tapped the sand however he understood or at least he thought it did, Thanantos thought it ought to be clean. "You do that," he said, giving Thanatos a gentle pat on the back. He was definitely going to have to make sure he didn't find out what was going to happen to it when they got it back to the labs.

Juno shrugged again. <>

Tambrey gave a nod, and waved a hand at the sky, calling Pygi down, though she didn't land, just swooped over head in a circle, low enough to be given instructions, but hopefully not kicking up too much sand...

"Pygi, see if you can spot Asgard and ask him to come back if he's, uh, not too far under water? If he is, just come back and let us know you found him!" She called, then watched as Pygi sped off with an affirmative cry.
This meant she missed the 'washing' and the gesture, looking back just in time to see water trickling off of the Sharpedo, from Thanatos.
"Um." Well, Aulus told him to keep going... She made a mental note to take signs of the amphibian species into account on examining the Sharpedo.
"Well, he's looking nice and clean." She settled on, lamely, with a smile for the frog. It didn't seem like he was taking death particularly well...
Ah. Psychic speech.
"Um. Results in that field are inconclusive and highly variable, but so far most psychic communication seems to have been very short range..." Tambrey admitted. "We /could/ try it, but, um, quite honestly I have no idea about the range between two legendaries in general, let alone a Jirachi and Lugia specifically... Also, um," She glanced toward Franklin with a frown "adding range, or even targeting specifically, with telepathy tends to require a lot of focus..."

It didn't seem like it had occurred to Franklin that she wouldn't be able to take her castle home.
Her eyes became saucers again and she stared at the beetle, processing the revelation.
<< I can't?>>

After a little while Thanatos seemed to be happy, or at least very slightly less unhappy, and stopped the stream of water. It hadn't changed the fact that the other water type was dead but at least it wasn't coated in sand anymore, Sharpeado weren't supposed to be on land really and so it was wrong for it to be sandy.

"Ah," Aulus glanced over at Franklin, "well fair enough." He liked Franklin - even if she was inappropriate at times - but he wasn't going to pretend that focus was her strong suit.

Some way out to sea Asgard was swimming along near the surface at some speed, apparently just enjoying the wide open space.

Franklin looked at the sand, looked at her bucket, and looked at Tambrey's bag.
If Tambrey /might/ say no because she asked... Perhaps it was better to cut out that portion of the arrangement.
It was the logical way to get what Franklin thought she wanted... if she understood Juno correctly.
<< I wish to play with sand, not shells...>> She replied, thoughtfully, still with an eye on Tambrey's bag. Even if it fell apart, if she /had/ some sand, she could build with it again...

Pygi called out every so often, shrieking nice and loudly, and keeping an eye out for the familiar shape of the Lugia.
Her eyes were, thankfully, very good for exactly this kind of task, and soon she felt like she'd spotted him in the distance. She began to descend to circle hover over the area.

Tambrey, meanwhile, had returned to her bag to set aside her goggles and retrieve her glasses. Her hair was still wet, but her skin had rather begun to dry off already while she was preoccupied with thoughts of the deceased Sharpedo. Still in her two-piece, but now wearing her glasses, she crouched next to the ex-Shark pokémon, giving it a second look over. Again, nothing popped out as 'unusual' or 'obvious' for a cause of death.

Juno looked at Franklin looking at Tambery's bag and grinned. <> she muttered conspiratorially.

While noise from above the surface was rather distorted the bird's familiar voice caught his attention; Asgard slowed and then surfaced, floating on the calm ocean like the most enormous Swanna that has ever been. <> he grumbled. <> With the help of psychic power the Lugia kicked off from the water's surface - once Pygi was out of the way of course - and started to glide back towards the beach. Aulus had better make up for this forestalled bout of freedom.

When Tambery moved off Aulus spent a few moments more studying the dead Sharpeado. It did seem wrong somehow for a powerful, fit looking pokemon like this to be lying there dead but s**t happened. Giving a slight sigh he straightened up and headed over to his bag to find his clothes, this time resolving to just put them on over his trunks.

While it didn't make the fact that the Sharpeado was dead any nicer with luck they would at least get to the bottom of what that s**t that had happened was, he for one would feel a lot better about this if the mystery could be solved.
