[Fin] Hard to Fathom

The heavy jet of water diverted the missile from its path enough that it missed its mark, careening off over the sea and eventually losing altitude and dropping harmlessly into the water. The reprieve would be short-lived, however, as not even a full minute later a second of the projectiles would make its cacophonous approach.

<<...Nope.>> As the second boom Asgard turned tail and raced towards the shore. He had no idea what had just happened or rather he had no idea why it had happened but he was getting out of here. As he flew the Lugia spared a moment to turn his head and unleash an Aeroblast behind him, just in case that missile was guided or something.

Asgard's retreat would go without pursuit, and as he headed towards shore, the fog would thin and dissipate, a few Wingull careening about in the sky at outermost limits of the haze.

When it seemed that he was safe Asgard turned, hovering in the air to film the direction he'd just come from for a few moments before heading on shorewards.

<> he called to one of the Wingull, <> Please let him get one sane word out of somebody on this damned excursion!

Like the Tentacool, the Wingull gave no response, staring vacantly in Asgard's direction and lending credibility to the "birdbrain" epithet. They appeared utterly disinterested.

<> Asgard grumbled as he turned away and headed in to shore.

He landed heavily of the beach and was soon joined by Foxtrot, the Zoroark wrapping an illusion around him as she approached. <>

<> Asgard replied as he allowed his teammate to climb onto his back. <>

So it was that, far earlier than he had hoped and with more bite marks than he had anticipated, Asgard took off once more and headed back to Team Rocket Headquarters.
