NAME OF CLASS: Intermediate First Aid (must have passed beginner)
PROFESSOR NAME: Professor Cricket

Prerequisites:
- Must complete beginner first aid successfully
- Must be Y2 or higher!

General information: This goes into using another individuals FEAR to heal them – thus promoting their own system to fix it.

The healing dummies have returned! However, this time it seems like Nurse Cricket has done a little bit worse to them than she did before, some of them being cut into rather deeply, and others bearing strange discolorations. The only explanation she really gives is that she put her ‘touch’ on them.

Which you really don’t want to know much more about.

“There is FEAR in those dummies. What I’d like you to do with them is draw their FEAR to the surface to pull away the injury that has been given them. This is an effective way to heal without tiring yourself out.” From the way Cricket explained it, it sounded like this was what a lot of her job consisted of.

“What you need to do,” she begins to go into more detail on what she expects, “is clean the area of contact. Once you’ve done that, use your FEAR to pull at the FEAR of the dummy. If you’ve ever been healed by me, hold onto that feeling from when I make contact. They feel quite similar and you’ll find your balance from that.”

For those who hadn’t been healed by Cricket before…? WHELP. She wasn’t about to demo any further than that.

Mechanics:

Roll 1d4
This is your accuracy.

Now Roll 1d10 and match your result below - subtract your accuracy roll from your result. If your roll will take you underneath ‘1’, go to 10 and continue down from there.

Match your rolls

1. Perfect! You’ve forced the condition to remove itself!
2. Uh oh! You’ve gone a little bit too far and your ‘patient’ gets really ill!
3. You do OK. It takes a little while longer to fix, but your work is passable.
4. Your work is poor. Cricket won’t pass it.
5. You do OK. It takes a little while longer to fix, but your work is passable.
6. Your work is poor. Cricket won’t pass it.
7. You do OK. It takes a little while longer to fix, but your work is passable.
8. Your work is poor. Cricket won’t pass it.
9. Uh oh! You’ve gone a little bit too far and your ‘patient’ gets really ill!
10. Perfect! You’ve forced the condition to remove itself!

TO PASS: You must either get a ‘Perfect’ or an ‘OK’.

Bonus Mechanics:
None!

Kari took in the familiar smell of disinfectant with relief. This kind of class was more her speed. While speed and endurance where good to have, the reaper preferred being able to hang back and help others rather than jumping into the thick of it.

The dummies from the previous lesson were lined up alongside the far end of the room, but something was definitely different about them. They were far more mangled and there were no supplies outside of disinfectant. How was she supposed to fix the dummies?

Her answer came in the form of the teacher's explanation. The ghoul was to use her own fear to draw out the injury? Kari bit her lip. While she had indeed been healed by Nurse Cricket, she hadn't been conscious for the encounters, so she had no basis to work off of.

"Guess I just have to give it a shot and hope I get it right...," Kari murmured, taking up a bottle of disinfectant and a cloth from the supplies table.

Stepping up to the dummy, Kari grimaced at the blackened state of the skin. Was it a burn? An illness? Was it just the regular coloring? The anxious reaper honestly couldn't tell.

Dabbing the cloth, Kari lightly cleaned the chest area she planned to use as her contact point. Setting the cloth and bottle aside, she placed her hand atop her patient. Closing her eyes, she tried to think over the requirements.

Draw out the fear... feel where the core of the ailment is. Yanking would be too rough and possibly make the situation worse... there! Gently... slowly...

It was difficult, the ghoul quickly noticed. Even though she felt she had a good grasp on the fear causing the condition, it was definitely putting up a fight. She felt a bit silly, thinking for even a moment that the task would be so simple. Kari was already starting to feel tired, for Jack's sake! She needed to figure out what she needed before she ran out of energy to continue.

Pulling a bit harder, her brow furrowed as she put her entire focus on the fear within the dummy.

It was moving... slowly but surely, it was being drawn out. As it neared the surface, Kari gave one last tug. A gasp escaped the ghoul as the fear broke free and dissipated once it no longer had a container.

Turning the the teacher while rubbing her sleeve over her face, she beamed at the nod or approval. She had passed!

Result: 1 - 4 = 7 - Pass
