The last thing she had expected when leaving her dorm this morning was stumbling upon a candle on the way to her first class.
And not just any candle - a vaisel candle. It would likely never be said that Davyne was a minipet aficionado but upon acquiring Vaisel she had extensively looked up everything relating to, well, vaisels.
Which left her in prime position to identify what she was seeing here; a vaisel candle, obviously, although which type exactly she wasn't quite sure. She'd squinted at it for some length, but that hadn't made the matter any clearer, regretfully.
Regardless of type though, she was in no position to take care of a minipet. Just days prior she had turned over Vaisel to a new owner in preparation for her upcoming - well, whatever it was called. It had been the most emotional she ever remembered being, and even now the thought of her minipet tugged at her heartstrings. The dorm had seemed particularly empty and cold without its other occupant and as a result she had avoided it as much as possible in the time since.
And soon she would be gone entirely, both from her dorm and Halloween.
Which meant that she was really not in a position to take in a new minipet. Sighing down at the candle in her hand, she closed her eyes and thought for a moment.
What now? She could leave it here, but that would be quite irresponsible and -
- someone might step on it or break it, or take it in and then treat it badly. No, she couldn't let that happen; not with the thought of her own Vaisel so near.
She would need to do right by this mini, but she did not have the time to put up more posters looking for a good owner.
Perhaps she could turn it over to someone else? But she knew hardly anyone at school; at least none to such an extent that she would trust them with this.
Except... there had been one, the boil Kamakura. He had been - practical, sensible. Someone she could approve of, as much as she could approve of anyone.
Yes, he'd do. Nodding firmly to cement her decision, she turned tail and strode off to the demon dorms.
It took some navigating and a bit of asking for help before she found his room; knocking on the door, she only hoped she had managed to catch him at a time that he was in.
